  1. I was so excited and happy when HK-55 helps you into the ship, he was such an awesome character and it made the story even better, when he died I was so pissed off, infact when Arcann falls I went back to Hk's body and I wanted to pick him up and carry him with me lol, if he doesn't come back I am going to be extremely pissed.
  2. No one here is in any position to determine who the majority or minority is on various issues. So stop passing things off like you have polled the games population.

You are here to voice your concerns, not put words into others mouths or pass off your opinion as some sort of gospel.

    Someone is mad.

  3. I'm down three, that I care about ;(.

Now to spend an hour on each trying to think of better ones, and a legacy to match.

Edit: For the record, I'm not bitter or in any way blaming Bioware. Just a little sad, which is outweighed by the fact I'll (hopefully) have a decent WZ pop rate at any time of the day.

Edit 2: Get off your high horses about original names. You know the real reason your name wasn't taken? It's either because a), you're lucky, or b) the name is terrible.

No matter how original you think your name is, if its pronouncable, someone else has used it at some point throughout history.

None! I am scewed my server is a destination server.

  4. I was on the ptr and I was doing the Jedi zone and this time around I was actually paying attention to what a lot of the jedi masters tell you, there is no emotion there is only peace and so on and so forth. I completely disagree. In fact the more I thought about it the more the sith code makes more sense, then I got to thinking does that really you'd be evil? I have a Sith Warrior with a heart of gold, and only resulted to violence when forced upon.

It just got me wondering, can there really be a good sith? All I know is if this was real (I know that sounds silly) I couldn't stand being a Jedi, no emotion..sounds dull and boring, I would follow my emotions and use my rage to defeat those who would harm those I care about.

    What do you guys think?

  5. Most places i go on the forums i see people just bash the game on how bad it is and point out all its flaws.

Why are people insistent on pointing out the flaws but giving no credit on the positives?

I dont know about you reading this, but i am really enjoying this game! Almost every mechanic about this game is a fun factor to me.

Who else enjoys this game whether its leveling, PvP, PvE, or just jerking around with your friends/guildies?

After leveling a new character on the fatman server and hanging/chatting with guildies there is never a dull moment for me.

So what about you guys how do you feel about this game currently?

Ignore the hate it seems louder because usually thats how it is while the people enjoying the game is mostly playing and not posting ;)

  6. One thing that I was really hoping would come out of the Guild Summit was more information on what class balances would be taking place in 1.2. There's been some hints here and there that changes are coming. IGN even reported that Jedi Knights will be receiving some new skills, while Bounty Hunters will be receiving a nerf. In fact, entire skill trees are changing so greatly they're actually refunding our skill points for free.

However we have yet to see any details about this. With 1.2 being pushed out to early April, it's becoming more difficult for me to remain patient. In particular with the reduction to damage to Scoundrel Scrapper damage, and the relative silence of Bioware to concerns about the classes effectiveness in Operations and PVP. I'm not eager to have to wait another month to find out how classes will be changing to become more balanced, and I'm sure many others are becoming impatient as well.

All of the other 1.2 changes and additions sound great so far, but they won't mean much to me if certain classes are still inherently better than others. Let's hear some information about what 1.2 will be doing to classes in particular, and don't skimp on the details.

APRIL?!?!? WTH wow..I am suppose to deal with the game in it's current state for that long? FFS..

  7. no because of a couple reasons

    1) Most importantly, different teams. ME3 budget belongs to ME3 team.

    2) too many cooks in the kitchen destroy the kichen (see Hell's Kitchen for reference)

    3) 1.2 looks amazing

    4) I like making lists

1.2 doesn't have a lfg system..i guess im stuck standing the in fleet for hours looking for a group, because that is "community" right there.

  8. I hear subjective opinions are the new facts now. I loved the Sith Warrior Story, am really enjoying the Trooper story, and find the Inquisitor story to be kind of 'meh'. Guess those are all facts now.

I still think this game needs more of the following:

    Sex

    Violence

    Sexy violence

    Top hats.

I agree I am sick of them having to lighten everything because of children, let their parents parent them instead of dealing with pg13 crap.

  9. Have you seen ME3's laughable user metacritic reviews? People are whining about the story and mechanics of that game too.

If any lesson is learned, it's that haters are going to hate.

The whiners are way too demanding of what they want in a game rather than enjoying what the game offers. Everything seems to end up black and white for them rather than any type of balance. I've seen so many reviews of SWTOR on the lines of "DO NOT BUY ENDGAME SUX BUT I LOVED 1-49" which is ridiculous considering that's still 120+ hours of fun.

What's there to do at 50? I mean besides messed up pvp..dailies..dailies and more dailies and standing around in the fleet looking for a group.

  10. Let's see if people remember these Boasts pre-launch.

Quote: We built a world big enough to feel expansive, but still not so large that we couldn’t ensure that all of the content was handcrafted up to a BioWare level of quality - Bioware

    * Wrong! You didn't build worlds, you built a region from a world that in some cases is very restrictive in "exploration" like city planets.

Quote from Daniel Erickson: One of the differences with our world design is that our environments are not undulating repeated planes - all hand crafted - Edge

    * True - But you forgot Day/Night.

Quote From Daniel Erickson: "One of the real things we wanted to show at GDC this year is that our worlds are huge, actually. They are giant, you can explore. They are massive. You can just wander off one direction and go forever."

    * False - SWG had Larger area (based on foot step), and many other MMO's. Real let down. I thought the LOTRO and WOW world exploration was limited until SWTOR.

Quest objectives, bonus objectives, detailed information about the quest and who in group has the quest all shown on mini maps.

    * True - With Very Impressive updating and notations. Only had one glitch so far.

Traveling through space is an exciting part of the Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ experience. Not only will you navigate the stars to visit new planets, but you can also choose to undertake critical missions in the depths of space where you'll maneuver through chaotic asteroid fields, blast enemy fighters, and engage in epic, large-scale fleet battles reminiscent of those from the classic Star Wars™ films.

In keeping with the original Star Wars films, the Space Combat system in Star Wars: The Old Republic is designed to make travel times literally fly-by, while combat runs and space battles put you in the pilot's seat for a fast-paced and highly cinematic experience. Like Luke Skywalker in the original assault on the Death Star, you'll also discover that even a lone starship can change the course of galactic history.

    * Totally Overblown - Now what was written can be taken in different context depending on reading. I myself thought we would could fly around like SWG planet to planet, and see many unique space aspects along the way from "Not only will you navigate the stars to visit new planets....." Missions thus far are duplicates of each other, on a rail system. In all honesty if SOE could add on a a pretty decent open area, why couldn't you guys? GET OFF THE RAILS! Even Battlestar Galactica Online is more "explorative" then this.

    No They didn't.

  11. *facepalm*

erm...you do get the idea that one is a single player rpg and another is a theme park mmo right? Different standards, framework and priorities. I think this gets my vote for the most misguided/pointless post of the day.

Just because it's an mmo doesn't mean they can slack off, they boasted that the story was going to be awesome..uhm..no it isn't You can have an incredible story in an mmo.
