  1. This is an issue me and a few guildies have had on Dread Palace HM, where the ads and circles don't show up and are not target-able as if they didn't exist, yet AoE clearly hits them and they are there, doing damage. About 20-30 seconds later they show up, but then everyone is dead.

I've had similar issues on other ops, but none as fatal as this, where it is literally impossible for me to tank enemies, resulting in a guaranteed wipe.

And I know that it is not a hardware issue, as us that have experienced this run the game on various PC specs and various internet speeds.

  2. A lot of people love it for its epic feel, and it has that in spades...

But it's also bland as hell, in my opinion. I have to force myself to play it, rather than looking forward to seeing what's next, as was the case with almost every other class I tried. The voice actor is terrible, at least compared to the Sith Warrior's, and the Knight's actions and even responses are...limited. Either you're King of the Boy Scouts, eager to rush off and save treed kittens, or else you're Dick Dastardly, mustache-twirler extraordinaire. It's cliche and simplistic and deserved better.

HOLD UP HERE! Are you saying that David Hayter, VA of Solid Snake and the male Jedi Knight is terrible? You, sir (or miss) clearly do not know what you're talking about. Unless you're talking about the female VA, in which case; both her and the SW female are pretty awful compared to some of the others, from what I've been able to tell.

Unrelated to that; I found the story to be the most engaging, on par with (or even slightly better than) the Bounty Hunter story.

  3. You know what's kinda sad and funny? Now there's a screenshot of a Guardian wearing my armor with hood down ON THE FRONT PAGE! D8

If I was paranoid, I'd think BioWare is messing with me.

And about wearing medium armor and/or something similar; I worked my butt off to get the armor I'm wearing now (the illustrious Jedi Battlelord armor), and there are clearly others out there in the same situation. Wearing different armor at that point isn't really an option. Besides, you shouldn't have to wear the wrong armor for your class just to be able to see your character's face and hair.

  4. So I know this topic's been done to death, yet all we've recieved is a few "we'll get working on it at some potential point in a possible future, maybe..." cop-out answers.

And now, on TOR's own facebook page they've posted a screenshot of a guy with the Jedi Battlelord armor WITH THE DAMN HOOD DOWN. Don't tell me you can't include a hoods-down option when the model clearly exists.

So what's the problem? You have the models! You had them in the beta, but chose to remove them! And now we can't even remove our hoods via headgear, 'cuz we go bald! What the hell? What the actual hell?!

There, now that I've vented some steam, let's have a calm and constructive talk here.

Let's get some answers, for crying out loud.

  5. Hey, who's complaining here?

I just want our defensive CDs to be on par with those of say....a Marauder.

You're the one making this into some personal issue only because YOU are happy.

You liking this the way they are doesn't make your opinion any more valid than anyone else's.

    Geez, people and their egos.

I'm not making this a personal issue, I'm saying your arguments are making no sense. The equivalence of a Marauder is the Sentinel. You want the same cd's, then play the mirror.

The reason we don't need more or buffed cd's is that we have such high survivability even without them; hell, most of the time I don't even have to use them.

So if you want a Marauder's cd's play Sentinel. Or a Marauder.

Preferably Sentinel; population imbalances are bad enough already.

  6. Where did I ever specifically mention Defense specced Guardians?

Talking about getting your facts straight...

If you're not happy with only having two defensive cd's, then change your spec.

If you're playing a DPS Guardian correctly you don't need two.

If you want two cd's, spec defense or stop whining and play the way you're supposed to.

    Geesh.

  7. The issue here is not only Enure itself, which is an ok tool in conjuncture with others. But aside from Saber ward, which is also fairly lackluster in PvP its a Guardians only survival cooldown and isn't anywhere near as effective as say, Guarded by Force or any other survival cooldown out there.

Um, you do realise we have Warding Call as well, right? And I do quite fine in PvP with these three skills, and Enure is a key element of my strategy. If you don't know how/when to use it, don't rant about it being "useless".

Damn, check your facts before ranting about stuff you obviously fail to fully grasp anyway.

  8. It doesn't suck, you're just not using it right, which is slowly becoming a thing here.

It's meant to be used a buffer for your healer, it soaks up spike damage when your healer is under strain and hopefully won't be when it wears out or used as a last stand when that operative has stripped you of health and you need to last just 3 seconds more to finish him off, it can also be preloaded for fights where you can kill low armoured targets fast like Operatives but who still deal high damage to you, you preload it and should have them finished and dead before the end of the timer.

    It's not a free heal.

This just rendered all other arguments invalid. It's sad to see so many being unable to grasp that Enure is a way to reduce the strain on your Healer.

  9. Did we ever get a response on that? I've taken a fairly thorough look around the forums and dev posts but didn't find anything.

So in case I just missed it; anyone knows if BW is working on the glitch that's made Knights look ridiculous since launch?

  10. The Marauder's Berserk when in Shii Cho form allows Vicious Slash to be used on an additional target and being free, whereas a Sentinel's Zen when in Shii Cho just makes slash free. The SW's version of cyclone slash costs 3 focus, whereas the JK's costs 1.

    Hopefully these will be fixed...

Actually, Cyclone Slash costs 3 Focus as well. I'm a lvl 46 Guardian so I know.

  11. Uh, any other class would have a field day in our class quests.

Get a commando on Angrel's ship for example and it's like they are taking a trip to a shooting range (I'm talking like a lvl 28 commando).

They can solo that entire place easily.

You haven't considered the fact that the JK's story enemies are made to be challenging for a melee fighter, not a guy with a huge cannon? Of course a ranged character has no trouble with enemies that are optimized for a melee character, that's plain logic.

Yes, Guardian is the worst designed class and deserves some serious attention, but they're definitely still on a competetive level. Make an effort instead of going "I can't kill this dude on my 1st try, f*ck this!" and rage quitting. Maybe you're just not worthy of being a Guardian.

  12. I have been playing a Guardian since launch.

    Level 50, 45 Valor, 500 Expertise.

It's gotten a little bit better as far as PvP goes.

I am half Champion geared, rest is Centurion Gear.

    Ok, here it is. Ready?

The Guardian is HARD MODE. That's right! I said it. HARD MODE. We have a disadvantage when it comes to pretty much most things:

We get less CC, and less DPS than most other classes.

We are pure melee (you can hardly count Saber Throw as a viable attack), so we have to get in close. Work really, really hard to get in close to our opponents. When we do, we hit on par with other classes, most times less. Trying to get past all the Force Lightning stuns and the roots and snares and ridiculous dps of the other classes, just to get in and what? Hit no harder than all the other classes?! Most times less?

Don't even get me started on how much Imperial Agents are OP!

    Want easy mode?

Play a Sith Sorcerer. You'll only have to press like 3 buttons tops. lol

But it's worth it because in the end, when your opponent lies hacked to bits by your bloody armored feet, you'll know that you won by pure and utter skill. That you surpassed your opponent's cheaty advantages and emerged victorious as a true champion of the Republic.

  13. What people don't seem to understand about the Guardian is that they're Anti-Boss Tanks that shine against single targets. No Vanguard/Power Tech can compare against a Guardian when Tanking bosses.

Secondly, I don't even use Doc anymore, I don't need him and play better without him, actually. If you can't play properly without him you need to overlook your strategy.

Thirdly, Guardians are more like DPS/Tank hybrids (even when Defense specced) and are therefore better when soloing than any Vanguard/Power Tech.

Basically, Guardians are amazing, just a bit difficult to get into, but totally worth the effort. When played right, they are outright killing-machines.

  14. ie a month later. Actually...the freezing force bug was fixed faster than salvation (assuming you're going by when they were mentioned in this thread which is in no way even remotely accurate as to when BW became aware of them) so there must CLEARLY be a republic bias! Heck, the sawbones bugs were fixed even faster than that! All this republic bias is making my eyes wet!

Changing/deleting a number in the code code is vastly easier than reanimating an ability especially when animations are hyped to flow smoothly and interact with other animations. Stick with the issues and drop the bias crying and you'll get a much better response.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, when all those BW employees got tattoos every single one got the 50/50 republic/empire emblem except one guy who got the whole republic tattoo! Clearly all the devs play republic! I cannot stand for all this republic bias!

So, by my one (technically) slightly inaccurate response regarding one ability, you dismiss this whole thread as BS? Ignoring ALL THE OTHER THINGS in process? Clearly you must be a prodigy of the empirical research method!

Seriously though, read the OP before blurting out random stuff.

  15. What really bothers me is all these disadvantages lean to the Empire which the Devs play. Can somebody please point out some factional disadvantages that go the other way so i dont have such a poor impression of the devs?

The Jedi Sage's "Salvation" (I think it was) ticked twice, but they fixed that almost as soon as someone made a post about it.

  16. Great job OP, sadly though I do not believe you will get a reply from the devs on this.

Wanted to ask one thing, I play a sentinel, other abilities i've noticed that animation is bugged for is

-Masters Strike (stuck in animation, ability doesn't actually fire...if you try to press master strike again, animation resets..all you can do is just dance around until animation is over.)

-Slash (looking like a rave dancer spinning a glow stick 2 or 3 times before your actually hit your target)

-Blade Rush ( takes a number of key stroke to actually fire...looks like your guy is doing the pump it up dance over..and over...and over)

-Force sweep ( a number of times I have pressed this ability and he just throws his light sabers back and crouches...then stands up...then goes back through the animation to have it actually fire)

-Piercing strike (same thing as blade rush)

Anyone play a Sith Mar. that can compare?

I don't have a video to prove it, but I've played both JK and SW, and Marauders have none of these delays.
