  1. Anyone with half a brain reading this thread is saying that the OP is running circles around NoTmrw.

God he is making you look like an idiot.

Carry on OP; I'm thoroughly enjoying seeing someone get destroyed by someone other than myself.

I'm going to have to call sockpuppetting on this guy. Seems to be the OP trying to make himself look more credible.

On-topic, I love Entrench. It's what makes my Sniper playable against all the CC out there. Don't nerf it.

  2. As a Sorc, my initial reaction was similar - I was irritated by the fact that my "Oh s--t, there are two shadows behind me" button was no longer there.

I then realized that this changes a purely defensive tool into a purely offensive one. While I'd've preferred having a full circle, I think it's best to actually see how it performs.

  3. After thinking about the SI story a little, and why most people hate it in the forums, I think I have found an answer, one that's related to the AC options for Consular and Inquisitor.

The AC options have opposite approaches to how they operate: the Assassin/Shadow strikes where they are told with brute force, while the Sorcerer/Sage attempt to find the mysteries of the force. The Consular story was written for a Sage and the character's "personality" was that of a sage. The Inq has the story of a Sorc with the persoanlity of a Sin. That, I think, is why the story fell flat to many users.

  4. First off, please read this ENITRE post through before criticizing; I've tried to think of solutions to any issues.

Proposal: Give the option of level 50 players who PvP for fun rather than a gear grind the option to play in the 1-49 bracket. This would take away many of the complaints about 50's bracket PvP, which seems to be mainly by people who play purely for the fun of fighting against players rather than gear or a combination.

Now, this gives one large problem: expertise. To counter that, the "bolster" buff for the 1-49 bracket should be modified to also lower Expertise to 0 to prevent high-geared PvPers from trolling the lower-leveled brackets.

That's pretty much it; apologies if this has been posted before; I was unable to find it in the search bar.

  5. Like the topic says.

I met the man who appears to be an old ancestor to me.

Im the flesh of his flesh.

Is this possible that he or some1 after him had kids with a Twilek and i poped up?

Actually im laughing each time i see my old , grandfather or whatever he is =)

Well... Sith Alchemy allowed for Human/Sith hybrids that could breed, so why couldn't the same be done for Human/Twilek couples?

  6. That's my video, and I agree the "Sorcerers have no burst" claim is bollocks. What I did there was cast affliction on both opponents to increase my chances of getting a force-barrage proc (bringing the cast time of Force-Lightning down to 1.5 seconds) but waited until the proc had almost ran out to cast Polarity Shift ( +20% alacrity, bringing the cast time of Force-Lightning with Force-Barrage down to 1.1 seconds) which allowed for a 2nd Force-Barrage Proc to occur while Polarity Shift was active. Force-Lightning hits, with Reckless for 5k+ and in 1.1 second, that's good burst. When you can hit 2 of them in a row, plus death-field and wrath procs (crushing darkness/lightning strike) you'll burst 10k - 18k in 4 GCDs.

The fact that it requires so much setup and having Recklessness off CD means that the probability of actually doing this reliably is almost zero. I don't PVP as much on my alts, but from what I hear other classes have a much more reliable burst DPS.

  7. You get to see Exile before Maelstrom and Taral V as well. What I'm most curious about is what happens if you are a Jedi Knight and brought Lord Scourge along to meet Revan?

Those who've read the novel must know what I'm getting at.

From what I've seen on the Empire side, nothing special happens if you run it at a higher level with a companion you're not supposed to have at the original level of the flashpoint.

  8. There is one big difference between the Republic's darker side and the Empire's: The Republic hides it. In hiding it, they fail to have a proper check and balance, which tends to magnify it. The way the Empire's moral system is set up, the atrocities are out in the open, allowing individuals or groups to put a stop to them before they become anywhere near as bad as the Republic's. Of course, the Empire's system encourages evil, so people stopping it is less likely than if the Republic had a similar system.

    That's my view, at least.

  9. Some dialogue is different, for example, my Zabrak SI doesn't get any lines about Lekku, but for all the basic thing that you're a slave and people look down upon you initially, and then you f--k over certain powerful members of the empire, and finally get some respect is the same.
  10. Instead of changing a ton of itemization and stuff, why don't we just add an interface option that allows you to disable drawing your lightsaber during combat? Most iconic Sith and Jedi in the source material would stow their sabers when using heavy force techniques anyway, and there's a fair amount of justification behind the idea of a force-wielder being able to deflect blaster bolts using nothing more than the force anyway. An interface option would be much easier to implement.

I actually like this better than my idea. Thanks, mate.

  11. Something I've been considering posting in the suggestion box for a while, but I was curious to see other people's reactions:

Why can't sorcerers/sages dual-wield force foci? The sorc basic abilities the glowing stat stick is required for seems arbitrary at best - why do I need a lightsaber to use force abilities that use a lightsaber in no way in their animations?

Unfortunately, a stat problem comes with this, since most existing force foci are inferior stat-wise to lightsabres. A simple solution would be to have orange-quality force foci available, so that players could mod them. Alternatively, either new, main-hand foci could be introduced with comparable stats or the stats on the current ones could simply be increased and can be equipped in the main hand. This would let players have their sorc look how they want, and provide a viable use for the unarmed PvP attack abilities.

    Thoughts?

  12. The SI story is the most detached from the actual galactic conflict (haven't tried Consular past Coruscant, but from what I hear even that is more connected). If you enjoy chasing artifacts, rituals, and

Binding ghosts to your body to give yourself more raw force power than most of the Dark Council combined

, then you're gonna love it. If you don't, you won't like it as much. It's just a shame that the main villain was one of my favorite characters from the comics.

  13. Actually, there bloody is. You're a Sith and a part of the Imperial army are you not?

IIRC, the Sith Warrior is also the Emperors Wrath, one of the most powerful people in the Empire. So they can kinda tell anyone to shove a lightsaber in unspeakable places if they don't like the color the Wrath is using.

  14. Funny you guys never mention the 15k bubble. :D

    15K?

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I wish. I really wish. It would give me some semblance of survivability. It only breaks 2.5 K (for a DPS spec) on a crit.

  15. <snip>

we lost our only chance of instant aoe dps with chain lighting.

    <snip>

Has everyone forgotten about the Lightning Storm talent or something? The way my build is set up ( http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201ZfsMMdoMZfrsRoMzb.1 an 0/19/22) gives me both Wrath and Lightning Storm; all that is needed is an extra use of Wrath on Lightning Strike to proc Lighting Storm, and viola, insta-casst Chain Lightning. Funny thing is, what was supposed to nerf me actually buffed my damage a little, since Wrath's +20% damage now applies to the entirety of Crushing Darkness' effect.

  16. Kapyshyn probably never played the KotOR games and just browsed Wookiepedia for the basic information about Revan and the Exile; that's the only reason I can figure for why the two characters (especially the Exile) were portrayed so differently in the novels than they were in the video games.

Karpyshyn was kinda the senior writer for KotOR 1...

But OT: while it was a bad ending to a great character, they needed to wrap up his story in some way.

  17. Main: Darth Naeblis, human Sith Sorcerer (Bio here)

Naeblis's (deceased) father was the Sith Juggernaut Darth Colivar (if you read Naeblis's bio you'll know he originally had a different name, but I had to change it because it was taken on my server)

Colivar's (also deceased) brother is the traitorous Sith Assassin Darth Prothas, who fled into exile after he failed to assassinate Colivar. Killed by Naeblis

Prothas's father of Lord Demandred, Sith Juggernaut, who lives with the stigma of having a traitor as his father.

Naeblis's closest ally is the Miraluka Sith Juggernaut Darth Cyndane.

When Bioware implements connecting to other playes' Legacies, which they say is in their plans, I'll have the following connections:

Colivar's sister will be the mother of Darth Genocidas

Naeblis will be the husband of Darth Carma

Lanfear will be the ally of Nithron Nalar

Is it good or bad that I recognize most of where these names come from?

  18. My point was WHERE IN THE LORE IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE FOR SUCH RESTRICTIONS AS VANGUARD NOT BEING ABLE TO USE 2 BLASTERS?

THERE IS NONE? And do you cry over this? No

You are yelling about a class distinction, in which Vanguards use blaster rifles and Gunslingers use two pistols. This serves to give each class a distinct feel; take that out and there's really very little distinction between classes other than role.

What they're arguing about is a visual distinction between classes that use the same weapon. Under your arguments, why can't my Sorc use a blaster? Or why can he not have two Force Foci? (the latter's actually something I would want, provided they're moddable)

  19. Since the Inq's job on the Dark Council is to research the ancient lore of the Sith, I could see story lines branching off of that. The Inq story as a whole (Storyline missions only) seemed rather disconnected from the actual galactic conflict, with the exception of the Silencer subplot, so something that goes on behind the scenes or something unconnected to teh war works just as well.

Also, the light side name is Occulus, the Neutral is Imperius, and the dark side is Nox.
