  1. 1 - some form of mouseover interaction with the Ops frame rather than having to click on each member in the frame before casting.

2 - Target of Focus Target frame

3 - adjustable buff/debuff bars (filter based on one/other/something else)

4 - All other UI windows to have adjustable positions (bag, bank, char screen etc)

5 - clickable map to show points of interest to team mates.

6 - Colour cordinated Ops frame based on class, Adv Class or mmo trinity)

7 - all frames able to lock or align with each other both virtically and horizontally

8 - More quickslots or option to have more than 12 slots per quickslot.

  2. To OP.

You have quite a few low lvl chars already which is fine as it takes a while to figure out which class fits your style of play. I recommend you stick to one char and get them to 50 1st before looking at alts. Do all the quests you can find on the planet, follow the breadcrumbs BW have left for you, find the best companion for your level that helps you stay alive. the less deaths the better. Kill things as you pass from one area of the map to the other. Do bonus quests on planets and save your credits so you can buy the speeder upgrades as they become available. Quicker travel is quicker leveling!

Try the odd space mission as you go between planets to give you a break on the regular quest grind.

    good luck!

  3. theres lots of different types of gear for your class based on how you want to play the game. so there are tiered sets if you PVP, different sets for PVE from flashpoints, and higher tiers from operations etc etc. some of the gear drops off bosses, others are bought using commendations (currency) or tokens (unassembled xyz) again dropped from bosses.

It can be very confusing so use the info here to help you navigate through it. I suggest using tor-loot.com as mentioned previously to get you sdtarted with your class gear obtained from FPs.

This is what I use to understand the different sets and tiers. some of this is from http://www.dulfy.net so creds go to them.

    Tiers

Tionese/Xenotech/Energized = “Tier 1.1” (Xenotech/Energized have no set bonus), obtained via HM FPs

Columi/Exotech = “Tier 1.2” (Exotech has no set bonus), obtained via HM FPs, Boss Token drops, Ops

Rakata = “Tier 1.3” (Rakata is exclusive to hardmode/nightmare operations), obtained from HM / NM Ops, Crafting

Black Hole: New tier of gear in 1.2, has three tiers: MK-1, MK-2, and MK-3. MK-1 is available for purchase via Black Hole Commendations while MK-2 and MK-3 are drops from Storymode EC last boss and Hardmode EC and weekly in Corellia. Has set bonus.

Campaign gear: New tier of gear in 1.2. Obtained from Hardmode EC. Has identical set bonus to Rakata.

    Gear Prefixes

    Combat Medic - Commando/Mercenary (Healing)

    Enforcer - Scoundrel/Operative (DPS)

Eliminator - Commando, Vanguard/Powertech, Mercenary (DPS)

    Field Medic - Scoundrel/Operative (Healing)

    Field Tech - Gunslinger/Sniper (DPS)

    Force-Master - Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer (DPS)

    Force-Mystic - Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer (Healing)

Stalker - Jedi Shadow/Sith Assassin (DPS)

    Supercommando - Vanguard/Powertech (Tanking)

Survivor - Jedi Shadow/Sith Assassin (Tanking)

Vindicator - Jedi Guardian/Sith Juggernaut (DPS)

War Leader - Jedi Guardian/Sith Juggernaut (Tanking)

    Weaponmaster - Jedi Sentinel/Sith Marauder

    Hope this helps

  4. Without mouse over healing you leave healers as the only one unable to keep a boss targeted during an encounter. This can be pretty important when you need to quickly react to cast bars, buffs, or other events.

    Focus target perhaps?

I'm a healer and I dont like not having a mouseover capability when casting heals in raid frames, however its not the end of the world. I can see the boss as my focus target and I can react quickly using keybinds, whilst hovering over the raid frame ready to heal the person needing it most.

Moving the UI around to ensure the raid frame is in its most optimal position for you might help you loads.

  5. doing more with the legacy system or levelling alts is not endgame in the traditional sense (for me anyway, you may have a different opinion).

End game is improving your main character through gear upgrades via raids (or Ops in SWTOR). Raids take a while to clear as there are lockouts, resets, hard fights to learn and wipe on, getting the right number/group dynamic for the raid etc...

Usually once your guild has cleared the end game raid content its about the same time BW release the next tier of content. First came Eternity Vault and Karraga's Palace, then came Explosive Conflict raid.

EDIT: This is related to PVE, ofc for PVP you have warzones as endgame yet this is typically what people are complaining about. People also complain about the easymode of raids in this game too for PVE, as someone else said, people will find fault with anything and everything.

  6. From what other games have done, expect to see limited server transfers offered at first. So if you want to go to Fatman, you'll probably have to wait a lot longer. The point of server transfers, at least at first, is to get some life into servers with lower or normal populations. They have no reason to get more people onto a server that is already heavy. I'm sure they'll open it up more at some point, but just don't be surprised if the first few months are controlled by BW to try to even out populations.

what he said. you might wait for the summer to get to transfer to a new more populated server only to find your server isnt in the list for the 1st wave of free transfers. As you suggest that your characters arent yet 50, you could level another character to 50 on a higher population server well before this transfer facility becomes available.

i guess it comes down to whats better for you, starting again now but on a high pop server without having to wait, or wait and hope that BW include your server in the 1st wave of free transfers. I would chose the former

  7. I found that the most important aspect of the rakghoul world event is that it mixed both factions together. apart from this event both factions are almost completely separated geographically due to the questline pathways etc.

More events that force the 2 factions to cross paths can only be a good thing, regardless on whether you're on a pvp or pve server.

  8. I cant see how you lost your UI configuration settings unless you didnt click the save button whilst you were spending all that time tweaking. whenever I make changes to my UI I make a habit of clicking the save button as often as possible to make sure any unexpected power cut, blue screen or disconnect from the servers doesnt lose my hard work.

Also, take a backup of the files mentioned in the previous post :D

  9. I remember a quest on Taris where i had to pick something up that was in a tunnel high up. It might not be the same quest coz my memory is fuzzy.

Anyway to get to it I had to turn back, go up some steps that took me to a level that was higher than the tunnel and quite far away from it. I had to fight through a few groups of rakgouls whilst walking along this platform (wall to the right of me) and get to the spot where I was above the tunnel, then drop down.

If this is the same quest, then hope it helps you. Usually, if you cant reach something up high in game its coz you have to get above it and drop down :)

  10. there was no info on how to get the pet in game and nothing on the web until someone decided to explore and figure out what these bits of wreckage were all about.

so in all honesty if you dont want to cheat, bioware expects you to explore the world youre in to discover for yourself what treasures and secrets you can find.

most people take the 1st option and cheat as its quicker :)

Having bioware hand everything to you on a plate with pointers in-game takes some of the exploration and discovery out of the game experience. this is probably why they didnt advertise it.

  11. the medical probe is great for a quick res when you die but the more times you die in a short space of time the longer it takes to wait for the medical probe. note when you die you get a 2nd option to res at the nearest medical center. dont sit back for 10 mins waiting for the probe when you can res at the medical center and walk back to where you were in less than 1 min.

more practice is the answer to avoiding death, at low levels you have less spells to work with so be patient and level up a bit more :)

  12. My main is a sorc healer however I leveled him as dps up to 50 then respeccd. although this was so it was quicker for me to get to 50, it did put me at a disadvantage in the end. Once u hit 50 you'll want to get into flashpoints, especially the hard modes (i didnt do any flashpoints whilst i lvld). however I had no idea on how to heal at this point.

I defo recommend that you lvl as a healer if this is what you intend to do at 50 so you get to learn your class, the mechanics and when best to use each spell in different situations. tbh as you have a tank companion from the get go its easy to lvl as a healer.

  13. 1 - only way you can filter based on slot, for example only see gloves, would be to use the search field towards the bottom and putting in the word gloves. Problem with this however is maybe not all hand slots use the word gloves in their description.

2 - not sure about this one as I hardly ever use the /who command, i just use the UI. Maybe you need to use a wildcard such as *

3 - agreed! I find that a problem at the moment as well, like for me I would shift click a persons name in chat to see which guild theyre from, cant do it at the moment tho :(

4 - unfortunately for us healers theres no way to get around the clicking on players frames in a group/operation before we use a heal spell. With no macros all you can do is reposition your UI (especially as of update v1.2 today) to make the movement of the mouse shorter and more convenient. although saying that I'm sure with some healing spells, if you have a npc/mob/boss selected either via target or focus frame, if its not friendly the spell is cast on yourself. Would need to try this out tho.

    Good luck!

  14. these are chat channels for you to use with buddies/guildies or any other group of people. anyone can chat on them with you once they use the /join command.

in order to delete them you should be able to right click the tab and delete them, if not, you might be able to use the /leave command.
