  1. You've probably tried this or something similar, but worth a shot.

    - Close SWTOR

    - Search for the Launcher settings in the SWTOR folder

    - Open in notepad/whatever

    - Find the matching section in the file and delete the 4 lines and replace with this:

    , "PatchingMode": "{ "swtor": "SSN"}"

    , "bitraider_download_complete": { }

    , "log_levels": "INFO,SSNFO,ERROR"

    , "bitraider_disable": "true"

    - save the file

    - go to C:\Users\Public\Documents

    - delete the Bitraider folder

    - uninstall Bitraider via add/remove programs

    - run SWTOR and see if it works

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

As my original post said, I already tried this.

At any rate, I got fed up, uninstalled a second time, and this time it finally worked.

  2. 1. Check your anti-virus - disable it while downloading.

    2. Check that you have enough free space (40-50 Gigs) on the drive you are trying to install it on. (You may have lots of space on your D: drive, but are trying to install in on C:, for example.)

    3. To avoid "permissions" issues, don't install it to "Program Files". Create a new folder, such as "Games" instead. (Not that this is related to your install problems.)

I took all three of those precautions, as well. And, as I tried to heavily emphasize, it is doing this to me during the install phase of 310, not the download phase.

  3. I am trying to install the game after being away for over 2 years. The launcher keeps hanging up at "Installing Main Assets 310" always somewhere between roughly 63-68%. Following the steps to disable the "streaming" launcher does not help. It still ends up hanging and forcing me to use the Task Manager to end the process. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well. Yes, I have used the launcher repair utility. Yes, I made sure to set all the application/executable files as "Run As Administrator" before even attempting to log in. Even after letting run while I was sleeping, it was still 68% when I woke up. It is a Windows 10 system that is set to download all Windows updates.
  4. What's the deal? I have two commandos. I made the second for this Dark vs. Light event. I got the character all the way to level 65, yet I still cannot train this skill. My other commando has charged bolts. No, it hasn't been replaced. I just looked. That's literally the only difference between the two characters. They are both gunnery commandos, with the same skill points.

Edit: I expect this issue is linked to the chapter 3 issue people are talking about. I've deleted the character, since it was just a throwaway commando for the DvS achievements.

  5. Is anyone else having an issue with seeing/placing their Revan statue? I cannot even find it under the Show All tab for my decorations. Also, having the same issue with the Rishi Palm Tree (not to be confused with the fern). Kind of annoyed that I have decorations that I can't place. :(

I am having that issue. I have bought it three times and "added" it to my available stuff. But, when I examined it from the chat window, it showed up the 3rd anniversary holo thing, which shows up as 0/0 available when I try to find the new statue.

  6. What servers are you seeing this issue on? Is anyone else having the same problem?

I have characters on both Jedi Covenant (which I don't play at the moment) and Shadowlands. Same issue; as soon as I run the launcher, it came up to a blank server list. Running Fixlauncher did not help. In fact, it will not even launch the game at all now. I get the red bar saying "The login service is currently unavailable. Please visit our forums for the latest updates on the status of this service."

Update: I was able to reach the sever selection screen. It would not access The Shadowlands. I was able to load every Jedi Covenant character. I then logged out to try Shadowlands again. Upon hitting "Select," the game froze. It then took three attempts to get past the launcher into the game and the server screen was empty. Exited the game, logged in again, and got stuck on the new loading screen, only this time the gear/wheel in the corner did not rotate, and the game froze up once more.

  7. The lack of interaction with NPCs to unfold the story line confers the impression that I am doing dailies. This is how [insert crappy flashpoint name] usually pans out for me :

    1. Respec from Watchman to Smash

    2. Queue for FP

    3. Talk to the cat person

    4. Board ship, lag much lag, smash all, exit area.

    5. Queue again

    6. Talk to the cat person

    7. Board ship, lag much lag, smash all in a different order / different scenario, exit area.

If you guys call this a flashpoint then what are the others? I mean let's be honest, this is clearly the most unimaginative piece of content we have ever been given. Click boxes, destroy missiles (Makeb dailies anyone?), smash mobs, exit area. What happened to story immersion? You know like in the previous Flashpoints? Sure, not everyone likes them but it would give me a break from all the running and killing.

I won't even get into the role neutral aspect of this instance because in my opinion any content that does not respect the wholly trinity is a waste of time.

Amen. After 2 runs of KDY, I decided it is ridiculously tedious. Not hard...just so tedious I want to throw my toon into the pit on the fleet station when the "random" FP ends up being KDY--which seems to be somewhat less than random lately. And the lag that I seem to get when either looting or using attacks just adds to the tedium. Not exactly BW's finest hour.

  8. Update:

Migrated two Imperial characters to Shadowlands. I don't even play the JC toons anymore.

    Arrianyaa (healer operative)

    Kristopherr (mercenary DPS)

  9. One I find ironic is in the Consular storyline on Voss. The Nautolan who was unnerved by some people staring at him.

A good T7 line I like is if you have him out when you first meet Doc.

    "Jedi = almost a master / You = idiot."

  10. Been a long time but:

Sith Warrior (I believe it was a storyline mission) you come to a bunker on Balmorra (I think)

You are asked to get some kid who was captured. When you show up a dialog choice is, "Yes please repeat that, Junior." His captor asks who you are, and the kid barely stutters out that you are a sith.

One dialog choice follows up with, "I think he's going to need a new pair of pants."

    Vette finds this hilarious.

LOL I had that same conversation, too.

  11. Heard a new one this weekend that made me laugh. Was adventuring on Alderaan with HK-51 as companion and when we got to the Panteer fortress with the really long staircase HK-51 said something like "The Panteers must have built this staircase to delete overweight troublemakers".

    HAHA Oh, that's classic.

  12. Same here. I have played thru all but two entire story lines (Trooper and Jedi Knight are in progress) and I enjoy the flashpoints and operations. The cartel market thing is pretty bogus though(even if I don't care about playing a Cathar). Making anyone that BUYS the expansion pay for the new race just plain sucks.

    GG EA games.

Jedi Knight was one of my three favorite story lines, along with Inquisitor and Agent.

  13. My favorites:

    "Eat them both, Khem."

    "With pleasure."

    and

"It's like a space collision. You can't help but watch."

I don't remember the exact dialogue, but two conversations from NPCs on Tatooine gave me some chuckles:

One was an Imperial saying that while he'd give some concessions to Tatooine, personal hygiene was not one of them. The other was a guy complaining to a Jawa that the droid he bought didn't speak, to which the Jawa insisted that it was "a feature."
