So lets say I make 3 Guardians and level them up with the 3 different specs I have available. Has or does anybody do this? How useless or useful can this type of situation be? Returning old player.

I use to have a 670 and dont recall an issue. I have seen textures flicker https://answers.ea.com/t5/Troubleshooting-Guides-Info/Guide-Texture-Flickering-High-to-Low/td-p/4867480/jump-to/first-unread-message but do not think a 670 should have that issue.
I can also see your using 417.01 and that has been having issues with dxd9 games, there is also a hot fix driver released 417.21 https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1082451/geforce-drivers/announcing-geforce-hotfix-driver-417-21-released-11-29-18-/ to address some critical issues
may be try a pre 400 version driver if nothing appears to affect the issue
The driver hotfix seems to be for windows 10 only? I may be wrong, gonna look around.

So I've had this issue for many years as I've played swtor on and off. I've managed to fix it before, but now I can't seem to get it fixed. I've been playing around with it and can't seem to figure it out. I've changed / played around with my graphics settings all around in and out of swtor. Changed compatibility mode in the launchers properties tab to see if that did anything, but nothing I'm finding online seems to fix it.
It is very slight and hard to see, but basically it's like my graphics go slightly brighter then darker. Not on everything though, mainly just on the land. It doesn't do it on the fleets or anywhere else. I have provided some screenshots as well as my dxdiag info. Please help me out, it's ruining my game and I really want to enjoy it.
It's hard to see a difference, but if you look close enough you can see the grass is brighter in one pic than the other. While it wouldn't be such an issue if it didn't do it much, it is an issue because it flickers a decent amount. Enough for me to notice and be annoyed by it.
the first image is the brighter one.
Here is my dxdiag info.

Very informative, thank you!

Came back to the game and starting fresh. Was curious about which class has the most survivability in terms in of pvp. Was thinking of going as a jedi sage because i figured healing would be the best survivability tool, but knowing that they dont use their saber at all turns me off.
-
Well, as title states I'm having trouble picking a class. I'm not worried about which class is horrid or bad in pvp/pve. I feel any class can be do able as long as you're enjoying yourself. With that being said, I've leveled up a Vanguard to 26, and got bored with him. Leveled up a Sith Marauder to 15, and not really feeling it. The stories were alright, but the classes I just lost interest in.
What I'm looking for is an engaging story with a class that is decent with solo pvp/pve. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
-
Is there anywhere where i can view armor on each of the classes? I'm kinda weird and like to pick a class by how cool they look in my eyes lol. Wanted to see if there was a database full of pictures and the likes I could view armor on each class.
-
If you switch to fullscreen you can enable it and then switch back to windowed.
thank you for your help. im not going to mess with it anymore unless i notice it again. for now it seems smooth. Ty a bunch.
-
Could be some vsync tomfoolery. Try turning it off. But before trying that, If you have an NVIDIA card go into the control panel and set pre-rendered frames to 1 and enable triple buffering for SWTOR. See if that fixes it while leaving vsync on.
Ok, so so putting vsync on with that seems to have fixed it. It wasnt loaded before because I had to put swtor back into fullscreen in order to enable vsync. so i went to full screen, enabled it, then back to windowed fullscreen. Works much better now.

Will try that in a little bit ty. I'll post to let you know if it worked. Also, vsync was never on. It doesn't let me change the option for vsync in swtor. I'll have to mess around with it in my nvidia settings.

No dual monitors, and bounces from 40-60 everywhere. Never experience any lag.
-
Googled all day and can't seem to find a decent fix. 2 things that do fix it are: deactivating nameplate view over distance. But then the nameplates become HUGE, taking up half of my screen. The other is turning my anti-aliasing off. Who wants rugged textures? Not me.
I've had it fixed before to where it was perfect, and didn't have this issue, now that I'm back I cant seem to figure it out. I think the last time a fullscreen windowed mode fixed it for me, but that doesn't cut it now.
-
Same for me here, been about 20minutes so far. Sitting at 324 in que.
-
Just logged in and went directly to the server screen ..ebon hawk isn't even showing!
so everything i have for the last 4 years is gone now?
I highly doubt your stuff over the last 4 years is gone, grow up.
-
This is the wrong place to request any sort of refund. Either submit an in game ticket, explain the issue on what happened and see if they can give you your appearance or call customer service and request a refund once you explain the situation to them as per the contact numbers here
I have submitted a ticket, ty for the other information also. Was also merely bringing it to the community, as well as hoping a moderator or person who works for the company will see this and respond faster to my request.
-
This isn't the only issue I've encountered, and i'd also like to add that its very upsetting to see bugs in the game, that I've seen at launch years ago not fixed. I just came back to the game, and am enjoying it.
With that being said, the most current issue I've come across is using the republic fleet appearance designer. I changed my hair, my hair color, and my eyes. it took out 350-375 of my cartel coins, and didn't give me the appearance change!
Please look into this, if I'm not compensated within a week or givin my appearance change, im uninstalling, and going back to world of warcraft.

Hello, I am a new person to the Jung-Ma server, and am happy to be here! I started a guild about 3 days ago, and looking to build on more members! It's a slow process, but its a sure process. I've run guilds before, in WoW, Aion, Tribes Ascend (clan), AvP (clan), etc, etc.
Imperial Army will be based on PvP & PvE action. Role-play will be involved around there somewhere, but for now its just time to recruit and get the website organized! I am fixing up my own on enjin and it should be done soon. I plan on making once the guild has active recruits (more than 4 or 5 ) a series of role playing events. As in, guild meetings, guild pvp / pve, guild dueling tournies, guild scavenger hunts, and more.
All are welcome. Hope to see everyone around the game, and if anybody is interested in joining, post here or hit me up in game.
My in game name is: Eyescream
or if im not on shoot me a mail!

-guess I shoulda just ignored it and went on. oh wait I did, and got repeated msgs from random characters after that.
I didn't put the full convo up because I knew it would get these guys in trouble, as well as revealing names.
been playin mmo's for years, and never had a problem like this one, ever.
Tuff skin, sensitive skin, everybody has there breaking point of dealing with interweb tuff guys.
So I figured id make an example of them, but obv. not show there names.
-
Yes ignored, but also it is the minor of things I posted up of the events. Just figured id let it be known.

I didn't save the full conversation, I should of, but I didn't. These 2-4 people consistently were just plain verbally abusive, and weren't very nice. I don't expect everyone to be nice in any online game I play, but I've also been gaming sense I've been 10-12 yrs old. (25 now). And the hatred grew strong with these individuals for about a good 30minutes. I wasn't trolling them or anything either, just was on to try and start lvling my jug.

I CANNOT BELIEVE, that suddenly the items only obtainable from the pre-order are now up for grabs. Like... is there any concept of loyalty or any restriction of greed? Bioware no longer exists, its like a snakeskin now... looks similar but its just a discarded piece of worthless ****!
pre-order CE owner and still proudly paying. its just all about what games you REALLY enjoy.
Planet Arc Missions Question
in General Discussion
Posted
I finished the first one from Alderaan (got it in the spaceport like the others) and thought I was finished with that planets story arc. Turns out, on my way to my class mission, I saw another planetary story arc. If I hadn't gone to my class mission (which I obviously would have) I would have completely missed it.
This makes me worried I'll miss a story arc on future planets, or possibly missed one in the past as I want to make sure I'm doing them. Is there a list/location of planetary story arcs that I can follow to make sure I don't miss any? At least the starting locations. Or do I have to fully explore and look for myself?
Just want to make sure I'm not missing any story arcs is all. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
