  1. Is Halted offensive a single target abillity?cause it says nowhere for 1 target it says applies to all affected targets imobilizes all affected targets:rak_02::rak_02::rak_02: It hits only 1 target
  2. Can you pliz make the companion appearance customization that you can only buy from the Collectors Edition Trader

able to be sold? Its stupid that this is still on the only ashara appearance i want is in collectors trader and its bind on pickup make it so we can buy them from other ppl they still get money for that so that doesnt deminish them buy collectors edition so many years ago.

  3. When ppl start saying i cant take you on my group cause every other dps is doing far better than you so i prefer the rest i want to see what devs will have to say about it.Are we going back to the smashmonkey era with 6 smash dps or 6 sniper dps i wonder.
  4. The problem is that ppl at Bioware see their numbers and numbers say that sorcs are most of the time top dps at pvp games. That makes them believe that sorc dps is really good but if you break it down sorc is the only class that his biggest hit is like 10-13k max when rest of the classes get like 16-20 even 25k hits, many ppl will say so what we got less burst but good dmg overall still not true we get best dps on pvp games cause we can dot their team that doesnt mean we kill them or that we are any usefull.Trying to burst down a healer with a sorc especially a lightning sorc is crazy. What i propose is to make thundering blast hit harder and be on par with the rest of the classes and yes i know its a standar crit but with pvp gear you get like 40% crit chance so most classes crit anyway.Or change the 10% crit bonus to 30% like its on merc/commando and we will be ok dont just look at numbers.
  5. Lightning sorcs also get double procs and thundering blast procs instant abilities. So in a matter of 3 gcds if you proc everything you will have more burst than snipers and mercs.

Thats what you think but only thundering hits for good numbers the rest do good dmg only if crit and that is not the case in 80% of the time. Also we cant use all that skills without being spoted and focused.

  6. First give back the armor reduction you did. Then make thundering blast an instant ability like mercs have?Yea it is a sure crit but still hits less than mercs and snipers big hits so yea :@.The biggest problem sorc have is we die so easily in pvp that we cant do any dmg if the other team knows what to do.Yea using dots will do dmg but help the team?not really.Making our 3min skill that does nothing but making us targets after the 10sec are over be like:It lets you do dmg for 5 sec without taking dmg while moving with the same cd it has now something like a dual wield class with more armor and a ton of defensive cds have:rak_02:
  7. If the devs could bring back some of the huge nerfs they did on sorc like electrocute from 10 back to 30m overload back to 360 also the reduction to our armor, really?you reduce the worst armor in game:rak_02: and maybe(i know too far fetched for them make our biggest hit instant or at least 1 sec from 2 sec and yes i am talking about thundering strike it has already a cd of 9 sec and then you need to channel for 2 sec really?)if they did even half of that maybe we could do something but at this point admitting it or not we are first target in 4v4 and the moment we are spotted in 8v8 we are number 1 target cause we die faster than you can say SORC.
  8. The very simple answer to this question is that yes, we absolutely listen to player feedback! However, the answer is technically a lot more complicated than that.

I think sometimes players on the forums wish that the process was just as simple as "I want X thing to be like Y" and that we can simply just change it to Y. Unfortunately it is a lot more complex, but I think this could be a good post to give some insights into what player feedback looks like on our side.

It happens very often internally where we, the community team, will raise issues to the development team that we have seen from player feedback. This is anything from a bug to just a general amount of criticism on a certain feature. What we help to provide is player feedback in as constructive a way as possible. This way it will give the developers perspective on how you folks are reacting to a system, both the good and the bad, and what you think can be changed to improve it.

This is where it gets complex, we provided player feedback, but that is just one small component of everything that goes into when a decision is made. From there, our developers can then grab metrics to see if the player feedback is supported through data. As a random, made up example:

"Players are complaining that the Assassin skill "I kill stuff" is worthless and no one uses it, it needs to be replaced."

Our developers could pull skill information on every Assassin in our game and validate what % of players are using that skill, or not using it. With data and feedback in hand, the developers also have to consider a few other components, how will it affect the company (if it is tied to monetization), how much development time will it take, if we use development time for this change will it affect something else? In this example if the developers see, using data, that 93% of all Assassins use "I kill stuff" than we can see that most likely it is just a perception issue that the skill isn't good. However, it doesn't mean the player feedback is wrong, it just means that we have two pieces of the decision making process that don't agree and more research is needed.

It should also be stated that sometimes there is feedback or ideas that come to us via player feedback that we ourselves love. However from the development side they are very difficult, time consuming, or simply just not possible. Sometimes this can be even be for things that appear like very simple changes to our game when in fact they are quite the opposite!

One of our roles as a community team is to pass on your feedback and to act as your voice in these discussions. What is important to understand is that player feedback is just one of many components that go into each decision. I also would note: remember that something like the forums are actually just one small component of player feedback. The community of our game is the forums, social media, and the many, many other players in-game who don't talk about SWTOR on either of those mediums.

I hope that gives a bit of insight into what happens with player feedback when it is received. I know it can be frustrating to feel like your feedback isn't always listened to but I assure you that your voice has a seat at the table.

If you listen then why every patch you put out is worst than the one before with more bugs and nothing we said or asked implemented

  9. Hey everyone, I have seen a lot of questions about why Bolster exists at 55 given the issues we have been having. I talked to Rob Hinkle and here is his explanation on why Bolster exists as a system at level 55.

1 suggestion when you reach lvl 50 let us buy the lvl 55 items, easy:D

  10. 600.

Cathar won't be out for another month or two, so most likely you'll have 1000 by the time they do come out if you don't spend it all on packs.

Thats not what i meant i can buy from the site coins too.:rak_01:

    They never said that.

    They did say that unfortunately.

  11. I still play PT like I said, and usually get good results. Point I'm making is that in top tier pvp it does not matter how good you are with PT, because the class is simply inferior in terms of bringing anything value to the team, compared to other classes.

Welcome to the commando and sorc league before 2.0.

  12. Hey everyone,

There is clearly some frustration around this but I believe there are also some misconceptions about Cathar and our intent for subscribers so I wanted to hopefully clarify some of that for you. One thing we have stressed before and one thing we will continue to do with the Cartel Market is to use it for customization and convenience options. Another goal we have stressed for the Cartel Market is to not use it as a method for pay to win.

Game Update 2.1 does introduce entirely new customization options, like the Cathar, which will require Cartel Coins in order to gain access to. Although I understand your frustration around this, we always take into consideration when pricing Cartel Market items that all subscribers receive a monthly grant of Cartel Coins. For example, if you are currently a subscriber who has a security key active on your account, you will be able to outright purchase Cathar with just one month’s worth of Cartel Coins. We also try to give you as much notice as possible around new features like this so that if it is your desire to purchase these unlocks, you will be able to do so solely through saving your monthly Cartel Coin grant.

What I think is a misconception is that this is setting a precedence that we are going to take things away from subscribers. I cannot stress enough that this is simply not something we ever intend to do. The features and functions that you pay for right now as a subscriber will remain in place. We would not, for example, suddenly require you to pay for an unlock to run more Flashpoints. On the flipside of this though, the intent of the Cartel Market is to continually add new and fun cosmetic and convenience features and in some circumstances, subscribers will have to pay Cartel Coins to access these as well. I just want to specifically call out that we will keep these cosmetic as we would certainly not want to place any of our players at a disadvantage for not spending money, AKA not implementing pay-to-win.

One thing I do want to call out for Game Update 2.1, which you will see more details on in the future (from both us and from fan sites) is that subscribers will see a substantial discount on some of the features being implemented in Game Update 2.1, such as Appearance Designer. Not only was your monthly grant kept in mind when pricing the items themselves, but overall things are far cheaper for you as a subscriber than a free-to-play or preferred status player.

I know that just the principle that subscribers are being charged for Cathar is causing some of your frustrations, but I hope that I could at least explain a bit about why and to help alleviate any concerns that we would ever take something away from subscribers.

From what i understand cathar will cost 650 coins. So if i dont have the key thing only by beind a subscriber i cant take it.Also ppl dont say that we must not be charged for game updates or anything like that.Thy just said what your team said that we subscribers wouldnt be forced to pay for customization.
