  1. I haven't seen anyone racing on Ajunta Pall yet but This is a great idea. I love it when the players start to take over the direction of the game. Here's betting that this is an official feature to the game within six months.

As long as it has good racing physics if its just like it was in KOTOR no thank you

Make it a sim like Forza Motorsport racer to play with up to 5 other people

BW talk to turn 10 see if they are willing to help you crate a fun racing physics to build on

  2. WoW is going to marge servers soon

Having said all that, yesterday we discussed low-population and faction-imbalanced realms with our developers. They have some pretty bold and spectacular plans for addressing this in anticipation of implementing some of the features we plan to in Mists. I just don't have a lot of information to share with you at this stage of programming and development.

  3. I'd bet it's because BW lowered the server capacity to give the illusion that more people are playing.

Either that or to get more people just starting to play on the less populated servers.

No, I don't think more people are playing (at least not in the amounts you seem to be suggesting).

    / tinfoil hat

  4. When mmos make content its allways the same old same old.

There are more to content then just adding more Flashpoints, raids, WZ and dailys.

BW thank outside the box you can do something no other MMO has done.

    1. New Space combat. X wing VS tie fighter or rogue squadron game play with PvP. Can do arenas with this

    2. racing. Rip off mario cart and call it Hutt darby. Or sim ricing like forzamotorsport. Talk to tarn 10 even see if they will help you to make some fun ricing physics to build on

    3. Trading card game. Pazaak go with magic the gathering type game. The number of different type if card are to limited with the old Pazaak in KOTOR.

Some very rear cards can only be got with Professions, Flashpoints drops, raids , and what have you.

BW needs to brake the mold of MMOs content

  5. There will be more over time. This is the nature of all MMOs.

They can NOT release all content at launch or all players would leave in a few months. That is also called a single player game when you release it all at release.

Talking about content no other MMO has :)

  9. Did you not read? I said I don't care who's fault it is I just want to find a fix. Yes, I have a background with software, but it doesn't make me an expert, thus, you saw no preface with my credentials because everyone on these forums claim to be experts in all things computers and MMOs.

I've said this a few times now...this is the only game that TWO different machines have issues.

    I want to fix it.

One thing you can try is getting a new HDD and install windows / drivers and nothing als

If ToR stell runs bad reinstall the old HDD with all your programs

If it fixed your problem then its a software conflict you have. If that is the case its easier to format

the old HHD and start from scratch then it is to hunt down the software conflict

  10. >Implemented optimizations to improve performance on Republic and Imperial Fleets

    >still 5 FPS in Vaiken spacedock

    >Significantly improved the delay when activating player abilities, particularly when in lower framerate situations. This allows for improved ability responsiveness in hectic combat situations.

    >still 2-3 second lag on button press in warzones (and 5 fps)

Oh and before anyone says anything about my rig:

    8GBDDR3

    i7 3.4Ghz

    Nvidia 570

    Can't you do anything right?

    Sounds like you have a

    software conflict

A problem that occurs when two programs cannot run in the same computer at the same time. It is generally due to a programming bug and typically manifests when two programs compete for the same resource (memory, peripheral device, register, etc.). Not often, but possible, intermittent hardware failures can cause two programs to conflict.

The bug in the code could be in the application program or the OS, DBMS or other system program that carries out the functions of the programming interface (API). If the interface is poorly defined, two applications may request services that cause conflict. This is more a bug in architecture rather than improper coding by the application programmers. Software conflicts can be one of the most vexing problems to solve

    How To Find Software Conflicts

    By: Kyle B. Anthony

Need to know how to find software conflicts? Finding software conflicts in programs can be challenging. Programs can leave traces of themselves behind which can cause a computer to go slow. These traces can also cause problems later, conflicting with other software on the computer. There are many points at which these conflicts can occur. Here are a few of the most popular, and the methods used to deal with them.

The registry is an important step in finding software conflicts and removing them. When programs are uninstalled from Windows, they can leave ‘residues,’ behind in the form of orphaned registry entries. These are links to files that do not exist. If a newer version of a program is installed, these orphaned entries can sometimes cause conflicts with newer software. There are programs you can obtain that can search out these orphaned registry entries and remove them. This not only will protect against future conflicts, but also help the computer run and boot faster.

Accessing the same files and file libraries can also cause software conflicts. If two files try and access the same file types, a conflict can occur. Programs can crash in these situations. Depending on the program involved, the preferences portion of various programs allows you to assign respective file types to be associated with that particular program. Although it can be somewhat time consuming associating file types to individual programs will help avoid software conflicts later on.

Fully uninstalling and removing folders will also help avoid software conflicts. When a program is uninstalled it can leave behind folders, and other settings within folders. Sometimes this is done to retain profile information for if that program is reinstalled. The problem is that if an updated version of the program is installed that does not fully understand these files, software conflicts between versions can occur. To avoid conflicts it’s best to remove all traces of a program before updating.

Finally, antivirus programs are especially vulnerable to software conflicts. If more than one antivirus program is installed on a computer at any time, they can conflict with each other. Antivirus programs may block each other out, or cause other unforeseen issues. They may even try to disable each other. It’s best to install only one antivirus program at a time and to not mix them. When you start a program, look to see if the virus scanner is mis-categorizing software or quarantining files which are known to not contain viruses. These sorts of conflicts can be avoided by setting rules within the virus program as to help identify healthy programs and prevent software conflicts.

  11. have any one try running windows media or fraps in the background?

World of Warcraft had something similar in it long time ago.

Someone discovered that having Media Player open in the background helped a lot. Blizzard took notice and managed to solve the issue and implemented whatever it was from Media Player that helped to improve the performance.
