  1. I see a few issues with this.

Snipers: Their base class agent starts with a blaster rifle and unless they changed it they can still use a blaster rifle but would be unable to use the sniper specific skills.

Sorc/Sage: the lightsaber for a sorc/sage is more or less just a glowing stat stick and is rarely used as an actual weapon so being allowed to use two wouldn't really make any difference in the end.

There would certainly have to be some rework to make it work, but I think it could be done And im not looking for a "difference", I just think using other weapons purely from a cosmetic standpoint would be a lot of fun. :rak_03:

  2. I feel like using different weapons as the existing classes would breath some real life into the game. I foresee they could be "Weapon training certifications" and cost like 400cc for your class perhaps. It's just a rough idea but maybe:

The follwing classes can learn such a weapon type

Powertech/merc: Blaster rifles or for merc assault cannon

    Jugg/Mara: Saberstaff perhaps

Sorc/Sage: dual wield or saberstaff maybe

    Operative: dual wield pistols

Scoundrel: dual wield pistols or blaster rifle

    Sniper: blaster rifle

    Commando: blaster rifles

Gunslinger: Sniper rifle or blaster rifle

Anyways the above are just examples, I feel like this could be a lot of fun. I'd love to see some different weapon combos on existing classes.

  3. Not sure how many times this can be clarified and re-clarified but Cross Server will NEVER happen. The program that SWTOR runs on makes it impossible. They would basically need to create SWTOR from the ground up all over again to make this possible and it is not possible.

Andrew Horowitz told me to my face at the Atlanta Cantina all of this.

Please repost so more people can stop asking for the impossible.

Unfortunate, because at this point I feel that cross server ques are the only thing that could really save ranked besides maybe an entirely overhauled ranked system. Don't get me wrong, I did all right in both season 2 and 3, but I was monitoring who was queing and that just isn't fun. I found ranked to be more stressful than fun lol.

  4. I play an AP PT and have to admit that I feel a bit OP at times but I wouldn't say I'm the most OP compared to an assassin who knows what they're doing. My burst is fantastic, but I don't feel like people have an issue shutting me down if they really want to.

I would say OP right now goes:

    1) assassin

    2) powertech/sorc (I dont see as many sorc played that well though, most seem sort of bad)

and on Juggs, I don't currently feel like they are OP. They are more on the balanced side of things right now.

I can't talk for other classes, but I feel the OP PT issues just come from the way shoulder cannon and some of the burst is set up right now. I don't feel that AP PT is nearly as fantastic in PVE.

  5. Stop trying to focus on everything that's happening. It can be stressfull and overwhelming if you're not natural at blocking out the unimportant information.

Just plan on doing one thing, the whole warzone, and close your chatbox. Just do your thing. Maybe focus on a healer (use target marker). Or just stop caps on the node. Or just focus on healing teammates. Once you're over the fear of screwing up, incorporate another thing, and do both. Maybe healing, and stop capping. Or maybe dps the enemy healer, and cap the node.

Once you've worked up to being able to contribute, re-open your chatbox. Wait until you know that your input to the warzone was beneficial. Did you stop a cap? Did you cap the node that led to the win? Did you kill the healer? Did you kill the dps that was burning your healer?

DO NOT OPEN YOUR CHATBOX BEFORE THIS. You'll just get flamed and probably want to quit.

It's PUG pvp...nobody has the right to whine about others. They still will though, and your enemies will talk trash. So will your teammates, because they're also AFRAID OF LOSING and want to blame someone else.

    Don't be their somebody else.

    Very solid advice.

  6. All of my PT friends rock pyro but I far prefer AP. I can play both but I find AP far more entertaining. Roasting people with the flamethrower stack is just too much fun. I do all right in ranked as AP as well. My highest I think is just under 1400 and right now im hovering around 1310 after a few bad days of ranked lol.

On subject though both specs have their ups and downs. I found as pyro I could dish out quite a bit more 1v1 burst which is great for trying to burn a healer quickly but as AP I feel like my AOE more than makes up for it with the flamer and banking on a railshot crit every time is nice. They are both viable, just preference really. Oh also imo pyro is a lot easier to play than AP which after hundreds of WZs and arenas certainly makes a difference in the enjoyability area.

  7. i bet it'll be the same title and a trophy with giradda's slave girls

    s3 hype train woooooo

I'm looking forward to the towel rack item with a pic of a huttball on it for tier 1 season 3. Thatll look so sick next to my crapper on tatooine

  8. Seems like a high rating requirement for a fkin helmet. I was really expecting the helmet to be somewhere in the 1300-1499 range and then 1500+ would be a camo walker mount or something neat. Come on bioware you have a lot of PVPers you are pissing off.
