  1. Hi folks, that goal is still very much in place. However, there have been recent changes to our team that have affected these initial plans that I laid out back in May, making them a bit more difficult to accomplish. I will have more to say about our future plans shortly, though. I appreciate your patience and know that good changes are still coming down the pipeline in regards to communication.

Just keep waiting, and waiting. The post can be summed up as "well we still think we want to do that, but haven't really decided yet. Why does posting on a forum require months of planning or round table meetings? Either you are going to do it or you aren't. Apparently, two months hasn't been quite long enough to figure out how to talk to people..............

  2. Bioware,

We all know you want to shut down servers. That much is obvious, because half of them are dead and you introduced the transfers to consolidate it all. Now you have even implemented rewards for those who stayed behind. This prompts the question: What about us who transferred when you wanted us to? We went early, which would've enabled you to shut your servers down faster and stop losing money on ghost servers. But do we get any sort of reward? Nope, the people who have drawn out this process are the ones who you give the pet and commendations. I know it isn't much, but could you possibly add the title "The Expedient" or something similar, just to show that yes, you were some of the first to use the transfer system. It would be a much appreciated perk that would seem to appeal to the audience that would've helped you save more money from servers had you not let this go on so long.

You might want to read through your source info again and give this another try........

  3. Several times I have been attacked by Imps on Ilum and Belsavis, and I have heard of others being attacked too on these planets as well as on Alderaan. The latest incident occurred as we were grouping for the Belsavis World Boss fight. The Imps attacked the Boss, and us, prior to our fight with it and I have reported them as we were there first. I was the first there, then our group, then one imp showed. It was then that around 5 showed and attacked the boss. You don't attack the boss with 5 unless you have the intention to disrupt another group from achieving its goal. This sucks. I am tired of the imp attacks, their hacks ( I see it every day in PvP) and I am just biding my time till Guild Wars 2 goes live on 8 28 12. Anyone else been attacked or disrupted by imp players? If SWTOR wants to continue, stop the hacks, and end the PvP flag ( on a pve server!!!) immediately after leaving a warzone! As for the Imp attacks, I guess you can't expect much more from a player who WANTS to play an evil character.

This post made my night. I didn't think world PvP actually existed in this game, then here you are actually posting about it on a PvE server of all places. I really don't know what to tell you other than run and hide. LOL, best post of the week imo.

  4. Get a Intel i5 2500 they are cheap and very efficient add a H80 Cooling system and overclock it and you are good to go!

That is 300+ in upgrades, plus he is running an AMD board now, so that would need to be switched also which will be another $80 minimum.

I would just upgrade the CPU to a newer AMD and maybe another 4gigs of RAM and see what that does for you.

  5. Not sure what your issue is, but my non-crits hit for around 2.4-3k and, like I said, my crits are hitting for 4.5-5k. I am in similar gear as you. I have 3 pieces of BH gear and the rest is Rakata w/ the legacy belt and bracers with Rakata mods in the them. No reason yours shouldn't be hitting just as hard unless you missed something in your talent tree.
  6. There is just no pleasing people. Dear doomsayers, 1.3 came out today. Perhaps, there is a bit of a surge in log ons today to check out the new stuff?!? Take a deep breath and maybe wait a week then you won't have to waste your precious time waiting in an hour long queue.
  7. OP, from your post history it seems you have been displeased with the game since at least April. I would say maybe hang it up? Why keep playing a game that obviously frustrates you? It is like saying the food you are eating is disgusting, but then you continue to eat it.
  8. You need to start with the daily quests on Belsavis, Corellia, and Illum. That will give you some money and Rakata implants, earpiece, and Campaign Relics. Also, it will give you access to the level 50 mods for any custom gear you have. You can also get your legacy belt and bracers from your capitol, Kaas City for Imps, and put some mods in them. Check the GTN for the Rakata level mods, 25, and get as many of those in your gear as possible. Outside of that start running HM FP's for Columi gear and Tionese crystals and commendations and you will be on your way.
  9. When you crit craft the PVP gear, it's only a shell. You take all your mods out of PVE gear and put them in your shell, and then you have an augment slot in addition.

I understand that thus why I called it "augmented" gear. Your original post was arguing that PvP'er somehow had an advantage in PvE because of this. It is simply not true. Can they get augmented gloves and boots easier? Sure. What modifications are they going to put in them. Remember these are pvp'ers not raiders. So if they are pvp'ers they are not going to have any campaign gear to rip the armoring, mod, or enhancement out of to put in to their augmented Battlemaster gear. They can either put War Hero modifications or Battlemaster modifications in their augmented PvP gear. Both of which are far inferior to even non augmented Campaign gear when it comes to PvE due to the heavy allotment of expertise in both sets. So while the augmented pieces may be easier for PvP'ers to obtain, they still have to participate in the new raid to get any sort of chance at getting campaign gear to take the mods out of. Even more so they would have to get either the boots or gloves because the armoring can only be put in to a like slot.

So either way you look at it a PvP'er would have to PvE to get the modifications out of the Campaign gear, or a PvE'er will have to PvP to have access to the augmented gloves and boots more "easily" as you say. Either way I don't think one has an advantage over the other.

  10. You're missing the point. When you need to crit craft the campaign gear, you have to waste materials you could use for far better purposes. Why waste grade 8 mats crit crafting gloves or boots when you can get the PVP ones for essentially only credits. You need to crit craft every single piece of gear you have for every single raider using those grade 8 mats, to waste them on campaign gear is not intelligent.

When I made my raid all switch to biochem, bioware changed it. I'm just letting you know Bioware that I'm forcing my raid to grind out 60 valor. You should change it too, preferably before we finish, I have some really unhappy raiders... And they're not unhappy with me, my goal is min max, they're unhappy with the design decision because it's inconsistent.

How does having augmented gloves and boots help PvP'ers in PvE? Because they can put all those PvP modifications in their new gear? They would have to PvE to get PvE items to rip PvE mods out that are worth a crap (lvl 58 or above) to make them on par with the PvE gear in PvE situations. Unless you are angry they could possibly take their expertise stats in to raids and still do less than a geared PvE'er could in full Rakata.

  11. Dailies give decent points as you pick up and turn in the quests. Also you can solo run normal BT and pick the convo options that give him points. Ultimately you would be best served to buy the max level epic gifts and give those to him. They provide around 500 affection each so it would take 8 or so to max him out for you. My server they sell for about 10k each...so 80k and you are done.
