  1. I would like to see more consistent Gen Pop in the game. Running instances on normal and hard mode certain packs are just extremely inconsistent in difficulty. A fair amount of the time boss fights are easier than your Gen Pop, and then the rest you can just faceroll the others.

The new instance has the worst Gen Pop I have seen in any game. I would never have designed them that way. Pull Tank-Stun Tank-Punt Tank-Pull Tank-Punt Tank into new trash pack. The pulls are just extremely inconsistent and relies on RNG a lot of the time. The instance an be very fun, but the dread of having to deal with those pulls has made a lot of people I know just not want to run it, even though they are geared and it is more or less easy. It's just not fun to be punted/stunned/pulled/screamed at every 3 seconds.

I personally love the trash in Kaon ^^ I find it refreshing that they're hard and not just bags of health. It's easily become my favourite flashpoint :D

My guildies love It as well and the random punting / "Boomers" blowing up in our face ends in some serious laughter on Teamspeak ^^

  2. Hihi,

Not sure if this has been asked before, but...

I know that dark aligned Empire characters have their appearance changed as they progress to darkness level II, III, etc.. but I was wondering if dark aligned Republic characters also experience a visible change to their appearance?

    Thanks for your halp :)

Yes they do. It's the exact same corruption / face changes.

  3. merc healers are the worst by far, they can hold a point by themselves healing damage dealt by 2-3 people while waiting on reinforcements, no amount of stuns or interrupts stop them getting back up to full health unless you get extremely lucky massive criticals from your dps guys. Or a smuggler/operative would do it better. But for casters its nigh on impossible.

On my commando healer the only thing that really puts a dent in my health is when I get attacked by around 2-4 Inquisitors ^^ So I can understand that. Most of the time I can possibly even outlast that many inquisitors spamming me with lightning, but most of them are clever enough to stun me :)

  4. I dont wish to talk about the game because it is probably the coolest game i have ever played however here are some problems that i agree with and others that are present.

    1. Yeah crafting is pointless the only good ones are biochem and cybertech. Since every piece of gear that is crafted is not as good as the stuff you find out in the worlds.

    2. I feel like most of the time went inot voice overs much of the game is exactly the same. For instance the missions are the same for both sides (excluding story missions).

    3. The classes that are needed (healers, tanks) are too hard to come bye since they are needed to keep a group alive but there is no point for people to make one since the whole game can be done with your companion. (not herorics but they dont need to be done)

    4. From what i hear is once you are 50 all there is left to do is make a new character.

    5. Some of the classes companions are in weird orders. Like Bounty Hunter is the only class who get a healing companion as there first companion. I have heard people solo black talon at level 14.

    6. Why is it the consulars get their romanceable (if you are a male) at level 43-45 while everyone else gets theirs waay before that. Also why is it the Inquisitor gets a sith and a jedi? Not saying i dont like it i just dont understand it. Kind of makes us miss out on most of the romanceable story.

    7. Consular has the most boring story in the game. It is all talk while everyone else has something cool about it. However the secret technique is awesome that i have a power that no one else learns.

    8. However this is all able to be dealt with. And this my favorite mmo out of like all of the others. :D:D:D:D:D

Come to my server ^^ We have too many tanks and healers ha! When we raid / do hard modes we always have issues finding dps players.

  5. So we set off to do BT HM for the second time ever.

We get to the first LS boss, the boarding party, and, thanks to a ridiculously large aggro radius, wipe. No problem, we down them. Guess what? Chest can not be opened.

Alright, that's ultra annoying because this bug has been in the game since beta and has been reported lots'n'lots.

No too big of an issue... it just prevents us from getting our one shot-a-day upgrade that will help us go on to do other HMs.

We continue on but every boss in the instance, however, seems to have a pretty large aggro radius. We don't wipe again but it was really annoying to go into combat at low energy and half health. Very stressful.

Anyway we continue on only for... the first unannounced server maintenance. Game goes down while we are on the last boss. Alright, that's fine. Maintenance happens.

The next night, we're out on Ilum. We're doing the two FP back to back. Almost to the final boss of The False Emperor and BAM servers go down AGAIN.

Log back in and have to clear it again. Get to Malgus only to find... it needs TWO pushbacks. Running with a Marauder, and Operative healer and DPS, we only had one pushback. SERIOUSLY? We had no way of knowing 2 pushbacks would be required. Furthermore, Bioware has been really big on claiming that ANY group can do ANYTHING. Yeah, what a load.

So guess what? We had to spend an hour finding someone to take the place of one of our dps.

I managed to get knocked off the edge and die on the encounter and get instantly released... only for it to be the time Malgus dies. Quest isn't complete. I can't enter the zone. Can't get loot. No title.

I open a ticket about the issue of needing two knockbacks, recommending they change it to one. My ticket is closed pretty quickly, with the response that I should "reload my UI by hitting CTRL+U Twice." Wow, thanks for the stunning user support!

Then today, I log in to do some PvP. Action delay makes it annoying but I can struggle through... eventually huttball after huttball becomes too much though, so I go out to Illum to do the dialies. I can only pick up two quests at a time though because I have 23 quests STUCK IN MY LOG that I can not abandon. Oh, and servers are going down again.

    Hooray.

I'm not threatening to leave the game or anything but really, at this point in time, the game is so buggy that it's painful. Bioware, make these next few week's patches worth it so I feel like coming back and continuing my saga.

Are you a empire player? If that's the case you shouldn't be that annoyed with getting Huttball all the time. On my server there's a large overpopulation of Empire players. I rerolled republic, met a great guild and I don't see huttball everytime I queue. Just a Idea there mate. Republic Isn't so bad. And I you are a republic player, I can feel your pain.

  6. Sorry if this is obvious but I didn't see an answer anywhere.

I know once you hit around level 30 and finish act I you can choose a surname that is "used across all characters". So - my first char is almost at that point and I have a second char not too far behind.

So my question is, on your second character who finishes act 1 - can you get a second surname or does it just bypass the legacy system altogether and give you the name you have used on your first character?

If anyone knows for sure I'd appreciate a quick reply :) Thanks!

The first one you choose, will be the one all your characters (both sith and republic) use in the future.

  7. I got tired of the I'm leaving this game sucks threads, so I'm making a thread for the many who are having a blast. I am loving the guild I've gotten together, even if no guild ships/halls yet. Loving the story and finishing nearly every quest I find on every planet and grouping often for fun and social points. I havnt had a grind once, cause to me grinding is when your trying to get that next level but not really having fun atm, I'm always having a blast and never seems long till I get something else cool.

I've never played MMO's for long usually save a few, and never one I had to pay for before. To me tor is an amazing game and MMO, its not perfect, but better then anything currently out there for my money.

I love the story, the cut scenes, grouping, my class, the companions, the crafting even if it means I can't pay skill trainers and I'm four levels behind on that do to sinking all my money into artifice.

so I'm here to say I'm not canceling my subscription I'm going to keep playing... At least when I have access to my computer that runs it :-)

I love this game too as well. And the guild I've managed to get into on Sith'ari republic side has been a absolute blast! It's been a long time since I've had that much fun with a guild on any MMO. :D

  8. So far, the Republic chat on Sith'Ari EU is consistent with most communities. There are mature and immature, I don't really think it's related to age as much as people think, shut-ins don't mature much even after 20 because their environment and peers don't change. I did a dungeon with a 13 year old tank and had no problems, while a 23 year old started the whole anal joke thing in /1.

    Agreed.

  9. To give WoW its due, it was a MMO based on an RTS that was well-made and well-marketed into a brand that appealed to those that had no idea what Warcraft or an MMO was.

What SWTOR has on its side is a brand that is going on four decades old. Its Star Wars. Its coupled with Bioware's unsurpassed ability to create an experience for the individual that makes them feel part of the story. Its interface mimicks WoW cause its an interface people find easy to learn.

All in all while not stepping out of the box this game delivers on a level unseen to date. Its gonna break sales records. As long as Bioware commits to ironing out bugs early on I see them having well over the 10 million subscribers WoW boasts currently.

    Agreed.

  10. if they shut off accounts once everyone got 5 days of early access. Oh my god I am laughing just thinking about it. All the self-righteous "stop whinning", "QQ more", "Your not entitled" people that have access (but are still posting in here! Can I play on your account while your not?) would fill up these forums fast with all THIER whinning, QQing, and "We're entitled...". That would really make everyone's day!

And for the record: If you buy on Origin it said you can "get up to 5 days of early access...". They are sending out invites on the 16th if you bought through Origin. That would be 4 days of early access prior to launch maximum. Don't see how it's possible to give people a chance of 5 days of early access as advertised if you only send out invites 4 days before launch... I'm no lawyer but seems like someone is liable.

Now, let the self-righteous step forward and lay thier claim on this post. Just know that I'll be smiling at all the hate.
