  1. "1# A LFD tool will ruin/destroy the community.

People look at the LFD tool and claim that it goes against creating a community on the server. That's just not true at all, instead you should ask yourself, what Bioware can do to gather people around at specific places? - socialize as you call it.

Numerous suggestions have been made in the 'suggestion' forum e.g. card mini-games, expanded cantinas, an actual functioning Casino at Nar Shaddaa.

THESE are the things people should be complaining about and not things that might potentially ruin someone elses game because they choose a server that is now a low-pop server, or people who want's to get the most out of their playtime.

TL;DR - BW should make features/events that will gather people around at specific places to do stuff together. "

This is entirely your opinion. It is also the MAIN reason why those against an LFD tool are against it.

Just because you don't believe it, doesn't make it true.

I saw what it did in wow, both pve and pvp, and played before anything was instituted. They DO kill a servers community, and I wont be swayed from this opinion.

Please BW. DONT LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE! I want a community to play with, not a loot pinata.

  2. Nice to see some constructive feedback from you sir.

I though i was pretty patient for 4 hours this evening wiping on soa´s missing platforms. But to keep in tone with your comment, have you, as an MMO veteran, not been having any issues on SOA nightmare? Or have you, as an MMO veteran, not done him yet?

Have I done him? No, do I want to? Meh.

My comment is related to your inability to see this as a general MMO issue (Did you raid in WoW?) and something that takes a little bit to fix. I can see you are pissed after 4 hours, so here is a peice of advice, take a break. PvP? Level an Alt?

It was you and your peeps decision to beat your heads against a wall for early content wins. This is the price you pay, you will get no pity from me or Vets like me.

  3. So a bug needs to be game stopping before it gets fixed?

16people doing 1 boss for 4 hours and not clearing it because of bugs is not reason enough for Bioware to fix it?

And please bear in mind that bioware has issued fixes to soa which have broken it even more and not fixed it. Does that sound like quality testing from their part?

    To me it doesnt.

And also, regarding submitting bugs to bioware. you know how many tickets they would actually get? And it doesnt take away from the fact that if they had people internally testing content/operations, like they should have, these kinds of things wouldnt happen most likely.

SO you DIDN'T make bug reports.... nice.

I am sorry, but as an MMO Vet I have seen this in every MMO. Patience is still a virtue and you obviously have none.

  4. I wouldn't worry about it.

I know about 5 people in my guild just looking for gankers in the lowbie areas. I am sure there will be more than enough people out looking. Nobody likes Red players, especially the people I play with.

  5. Here is the problem.

Less people in game (a new game) means less costructive posts about actual things worth discussion.

This will all go away. The problem is that people feel so damned entitled to everything that they think people care when they complain about inane and stupid things. Take a look at any of the guys on your city street corner shouting about the end of the world. Do you think we take any notice or listen to what they are saying? No! We see a crazy person! The same goes for the people on here.

I am sure some are honestly suprised about what has happened, but they will be minority in this group of 'children' (in terms of maturity not age, as I am sure many are actually meant to be adults).

Keep bumping and continuing good conversations and those people will move on.

  6. They will be opening servers in waves to accomodate.

Again another reason for guild pre rolling was that they could avoid the problem like WoWs heaviest servers.

I am hearing of no ingame issues so far, but the time to look out for is tonight at around 7CST.

  7. We actually just switched to EST to ally with some other guilds we have known for awhile. But most our player base is CST.

We have a FB page (more people use more than guild forums IMO).

Yeah, we got a lot of people now tinkering with other classes (may have gotten another healer out of that).

Thumbs up so far from our guys and really enjoyed reading the "In the works" peice you guys put out last night.

EDIT: And by you guys I obviously mean BW.

  8. About half of my guild is now online and playing (those lucky dogs). Apparantly they are all rolling classes they weren't sure about. So on Thursday or Friday, when most are in and playing, we can all roll together.

My discussion is really aimed at other guilds. How are they handling the staggered release?

I played all through the closed beta and the weekends so I know the game is great (dont care much for any PvP mind) but I am curious to those currently in. Are you getting through quicker than you were in beta?

Right now we got about 20 people waiting for a pretty low pop server at the moment so we are very happy with that. But to those huge 500+ guild servers, how are they faring?

Anyway, I will let you all get back to it.

I will update this thread with people that cry on it. This isn't the place, we dont really care.
