  1. Oh endgame concept how I hate thee

Why is it so difficult for MMOGs to have a linear progression?

I dream for day a MMO don't forces you to level for weeks so than you can compete with other players, and then months later make your efforts become useless

The game you are looking for is called Eve Online.

  2. I believe that the devs need to take a look at the old Companion quests a bit more. My first companion was Khem Val and I thought it was cool that sometimes when he needed to get off the ship and go do something (there are three or four instances of this) I actually went out to a planet with him to complete his quest. Brought me more into the action and more involved with his character after getting him.

I believed it would be like this with most companions where you talk to them and gain affection until they trust you enough to take them out on quests to solve their problems and cement their alliance with your character. It's immersive and was used to great effect in Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Mass Effect 2.

But as I finished up my Sorcerer and started doing alts, I noticed that no companion but the first one for each class gets any quests like that, and it seems like there are many great opportunities to do so. Instead we just get a fade to black and they're back from their errand. Really disappointed me.

  3. I have the schemetic for a level 24 enhancement that I got from an Eternity Vault run (I cannot remember if Story or Hard). I'm looking to find the other level 24 Enhancement recipes but sites like torhead and swtorspy have been unhelpful in that regard.

Where do I get the schematics? Are they all Random boss drops? If so, what bosses have a chance to drop them? Or can I RE them from Exotech and Columi gear?

  4. Maybe they are and maybe not that I don't know. But it would be pretty disgusting if a mask for a size one toon ended up mid chest on a size 5.

This is nit-picky, but there are only four body sizes.

And as far as gear goes, Jorgan is a Cathar companion and all gear seems to fit him just fine, which implies he works off of a Human body-type. To develop Cathar from a normal race, they might have to make completely new hairstyles, new skin textures for the various body-types, and new eye textures. Though Cathar are supposed to have tails, Jorgan does not so that isn't a problem. So, from a development standpoint (implementation would be a different beast altogether with the implied spaghetti-coding this game seems to have, it's the only way to explain how bugs breaks completely unrelated things) making the Cathar a playable race wouldn't be very expensive or time-consuming.

  5. First, craft a pair of Rakata Relics for when you hit 50. Huge boost to HP and they're on use so you can get a temporary buff out of them to improve burst in whatever you're doing.

Also, reverse engineer to learn and make Enhancements, hilts, and color crystals for when you hit certain levels.

If you want to make credits with Artifice, the real money-makers are crafting end-game enhancements whose schematics only drop in Ops or can be reverse-engineered from Black Hole gear. Other than this, Artifice really doesn't make anything that really sells well.

Other than that, check out the markets for lower level crafting mats that aren't too saturated and then just sell Archeology mats (also used for Synthweaving), or Treasure Hunting mats.

    Hope this helps you out.

  6. Well, they did team up with another company to get a whole line of statues like the Collector's Edition Malgus made.

I agree they should start doing some kind of merchandising. I've got a couple 90's era action figures still, and some Old Republic ones would be cool. I'd also buy T-shirts if they had them.

  7. The devs have confirmed several times in multiple sources that they will not be supporting addons. However, they also said that the game wouldn't go free to play either. So really, it's always up in the air.
