As a former wow player that needed UI customization (dual class dps/heals) I can see the need for it with TOR.
Personally IDC for dps meters they just take up screen space.
But being able to resize the control bars, move them around and even change the color of them is a must!
Giving the player that small ability to customize their display to their play style will keep players playing this game.
For example Tabula Rasa had a UI that was just horrible to use and look at, the same could be said of Hellgate London also. Those two games are dead and gone from the MMO life on the internet now.
Games that allow the player to change the UI to suit the player have a longer lifespan than others, this is a proven fact. A badly designed UI just makes the player NOT want to play the game.

Honestly Bioware I've never seen que's in any other game I've played, even the que for a couple of other start up mmo's in the last five years weren't this long. See Hellgate London and Tabula Rasa to name a few. Then 2 years ago almost STO was launched, Cryptic underestimated their server load then also. For almost 3 months they had que's almost every day. They saw a big drop in subscriptions during that time..
Please Bioware fix this problem before launch....

I guess I'm kind of lucky, my brother in law couldn't figure out what to get me for christmas this year and this last weekend he pre ordered my copy.
I really don't mind having to wait a day to get in, that's if I get in on friday. It's not like I could have played today anyways... finials at college had me on campus all day... My brain feels like it's been sucked out thru my ear after that...LOL
But like everyone else I like being informed on when I can get in, not this game of wait and check your email five or six times a day.
Really during my math finial this morning one student was watching the twitter feed on his cell phone and checking his email everytime another wave went out! (local college with a major game design degree program) But that's to be expected when we have ID software, Reel Media and Gearbox software just down the street (like within ten miles of the college)
But really, what's another day to wait... It's not like they said that everyone that bought pre orders would get in today they made it clear early on that it would be in waves.

Sign me up for the 40+ server.
Damn whippersnappers
Damm Skippy! That's what I wish would happen to. A game with a 40+ server would be nice!

They (Bioware) said you would get early access to the servers.. Bioware Never said it would be on the first day....
I'm just happy to have the game weather I get to play early or not..
So all the nerd raggers need to chill out and go do something besides the "qq" whine on the forums...
