  1. I agree with him completely. I play a Sentinel and I tear Mercenaries/Commandos apart. This is irrelevant. There are plenty of other classes that can't.

The problem is when you can't attack the Mercenary/Commando or there are multiple ones. The ease of play combined with the high damage and survivability of the class is the problem. I have a level 28 Commando who I shelved because the gameplay was too simple.

  2. Well, 1.7 million people like it and I happen to be one of them. As long as they keep releasing new content and improvements, I'll be sticking around.

As for the "It's not an MMO" argument, that has never made sense to me. Of course this is an MMO.

  3. Are you insane? You just blew off hundreds of paying customers because????

They have a stickied thread at the top of the forums.

They have also said they are working on a fix.

No; as I said, "changes will be made to the global cooldown and we'll bring you more information when we have a solid timeline to share." Discussions on that specific issue have been happening since early yesterday and will wrap up today. Hopefully I'll be able to share more later on when you can expect a patch, but it won't wait until March or until 1.2.
  4. Seriously, closing in on 3 months of release time and we are still the only class/(s) that doesn't have a non-channeled stun or a push/pull mechanic.

Being the only class in the game without either function (while some classes have BOTH), is pretty frustrating. The one stun we do have is channeled, which means it can be interupted.

    Toss us a bone already.

Or, if you have no intentions of fixing this issue, say so so we can reroll. Thanks.

As a Sentinel, giving us a hard stun would make our class overpowered. We have a TON of abilities that give us a huge edge in fights.

    - You can pop Rebuke, Saber Ward, Pacify, Force Cloak, Guarded by the Force, Stasis, Leg Slash, and Awe.

    - For interrupts, you have access to Force Kick, Force Leap (Watchmen Spec), Force Stasis, and Awe. Do not underestimate the power of Force Leap, being knocked off is a minor inconvenience when you can just jump back up.

There are very few players that can kill me in a 1v1 when I have my cooldowns up. In addition, each of our abilities has such short cooldowns that they are often up when you need them.

  5. Please hire people who play the game to make improvements to the game.

18hr cd on FLEET PASS? Are you kidding me? Wow cd is 30mins to get to where you need to go.

Before you say I have quick travel, well let me tell you something.

I want to quick travel to the places that are relavent. Republic fleet being the most obvious place. Why would you give us an 18hr cd to go to where I need to go back and forth throughout the day.

Want to do FPs guess what you probably need to be at the fleet to get a group.. the list goes on.

Daily pvp quest? Why bother picking it up if I have to leave what I was doing in open world and take what seems like 10mins to go pick it up to go back to Ilum or the planet I was in.

You should make the game fun, not pointless running around through load screens.

Attach an authenticator to your account. You can order a physical one for cheap, or you can use the free smartphone versions (on iPhone and Android). Doing so will give you access to the Security Key Vendor which sells 1 hour cooldown Fleet Passes.

  6. To say you need four hours to deploy a patch that does this:

•Killing players on Ilum will now consistently grant Valor and mission credit as intended.

    Is complete and utterly ridiculous.

You (BioWare/EA) really need to get it together and get with the times. Something like this should be done on the fly or be an instant (1-15 minute) downtime at most. Other big MMORPGs like say, Rift, don't need 4 hours to do trivia. Maybe you should consult with someone who knows how to do this stuff better?

It's sad that TOR has gone so horrifically backwards with downtime lengths.

Something tells me you know nothing about databases, servers, programming, or the patching process of a game with over a hundred servers. But don't let that stop you from making ridiculous claims!

  7. I almost fell out of my chair laughing last night when I saw the UI change.

It made the game look really really tacky :)

The flashes in principal are a good idea. But having the entire bar flash is a bit much.

If they can make the ability that's coming off cooldown flash once, that'd be pretty cool I think. Maybe with a softer flash too. That would be nicer :)

The flashing needs to be an option. I have multiple abilities that are on 7 second or 15 second cooldowns. I do not want abilities flashing every couple of seconds.

What I would like is a very solid bar that moves down on abilities on CD. Have the ability be lit behind the bar if you have the resources needed. Eliminate the flashing when abilities are off the GCD.

  8. 1) Every ability flashing every GCD is just silly. Maybe leave the flash for abilities coming off cooldown that is NOT GCD related.

    2) All abilities grayed out during GCD. This is terrible. It makes iv VERY hard to know what ability is going to be usable due to resource. As a SW/JK this seems to effect me more than some other classes. This is really game breaking for me. I had this issue with the launch GCD also. This was fixed in GCD2 and now broken again in GCD3.

    3) Delay in lighting up. Abilities dont light up as soon as the GCD is done and they are ready. Once they are ready, they then slowly (over like 0.2 of a second) light flash then light up. Due to this if you are a class that is GCD locked (uses an ability every GCD) all your abilities will never light up, just go from grey to flash to grey. This is annoying and again hard to track what abilities are ready with a quick glance.

100% accurate. As a Jedi Sentinel, I couldn't agree more.

  9. Changes are definitely going to be made to the UI in response to initial feedback we received after the patch was deployed. (Very little feedback was received on the PTS Forum before the patch was deployed to the live servers, otherwise changes may have been made before the patch's deployment.)

The primary purpose of this poll is to get more accurate numbers on player sentiment. Threads are very helpful for us to get an immediate idea of areas that need attention, but accurate numbers as opposed to post counts help us present a more accurate picture of those affected (threads/post counts can easily be inflated by multiple posts from the same person, opposing points of view, and so on).

If you'd like to give us constructive feedback on changes to the UI and the global cooldown animations, we'd welcome that in this thread. Discussions about the poll or other aspects of development aren't appropriate.

Will we have to wait until next Tuesday for a fix? I am not exaggerating when I say that my Jedi Sentinel is almost unplayable with the current UI. Raiding on him was anything but fun and I logged off instead of joining my guild for PvP because of the UI.

On my Operative alt, the changes are still bad, but not nearly as bad as the Sentinel. If I have to wait until Tuesday, I won't bother logging onto the Sentinel other than to raid.
