  1. I'm actually not THAT irked by a small amount of the story content being behind the "raid-wall".

     

    It's certainly less than it was in, say, WoW, where you'd miss a great deal of the world-shaping content if you weren't up to speed with the raid progression, and if you had any catching up to do or didn't have time for a dedicated raiding guild, well, too damn bad.

     

    What I would want to see is the coding for character history, interactions, and conversations be written with the content that players might not have been able to do in mind.

     

    1) Your own character's history should not controlled by who rolled higher on a random conversation roll when doing a 1-time mission in a group. I don't care who won the roll, my character's history should show that I destroyed the thing in the white room on Tatooine, not that I let it live because the other player made that choice and rolled higher.

     

    2) NPCs should "know" the difference between a character who did something, and a character who didn't. The Dread Masters should not directly reference a list of things that a character did not do if the character did not do them, for example (see, conversation during the initial watchtower mission on Oricon).

     

    3) Stop having NPCs who are or can be killed later in the storyline be involved in quest-giving or the like on repeatable content...

     

     

    Why the hell is Darth Malgus still giving me missions after I was railroaded into killing him?

     

     

    You don't know for sure the difference between an MMO and a single player game.

    This is NOT a single player game.

  2. Remember when they told us this game would be like "KOTOR 3, 4, 5, 6..."?

    Well KOTOR I and KOTOR II were not MMO's.

     

    Did you notice how they give you companions so you can play "Solo" but still have help?

     

    I thought the idea of this game was to make it so all play types could be done.

    Originally they wanted to "Encourage" groups but not make it mandatory.

     

    If they are adding more Story line than it should really be accessible and playable by all types of players.

    Many, many people play this game because it's Star Wars and has Character Stories and they do it solo.

    I'm not a big fan of sitting around in a circle and letting each of my friends read a page from a book I'm reading.

    I like to read my own story at my pace.

     

    You like to read you own story? Take a book or do a single player.

    This is a Massive Multiplayer Online game so there are no arguments here.

     

    Right now the WHOLE story is single player just a 0.001% need to be grouped and these are OPERATION that require a kill. You don't want to do them? Youtube can help.

    For anyone considering picking up the pre-order and re-subscribing for a dainty jaunt through all of the class storylines you may have missed, please be forewarned: I am currently L38 on Quesh as an SI, and I am hitting the wall. Hard. Very hard.

     

    Without gear, things have been getting tougher and tougher for awhile now, but at this point they're pretty much impossible. It was workable when mobs and bosses were 2+ levels below me, but they're only a single level down now, and although I could be buying greens from the GTN a little more frequently, I still don't feel like this experience is within my expectations.

     

    I imagine a lot of you are considering making this leap back into SWTOR for the same reason I did: To just see the stories. If that's what you're looking for, I think you'll regret the decision. I definitely do.

    Run some Heroic in low level planet with your main, take some planetary commendation, take the mod/armoring/etc and send it to your alt.

    Easy done in 1 hour.

  4. Ok, so after hearing that we could get 12 times the normal xp from story missions i was thrilled. Finally a semi story mode to the game. But, while i was able to re subscribe just fine, upon attempting to purchase shadow of revan it gave me a "general error" and now I cannot purchase the xpack and im missing out on precious time with my alts. what can i do? I've tried a visa, mastercard, and paypal but nothing.

     

    Delete the paypall payment account memorized here and do it again

  5. TL;DR: closed PTS makes for an unfair advantage for progression and will cause more problems than "preserving" the story may solve.

    Progression guild/member are about 5% of the total player, so just because of you most of the player have to "read" spoiler?? Pffffff ahhahahahahaahahah

     

    Server/world first kill just to show how big is your dick? There will not be Nightmare that are the REAL challenge... not a stupid SM or HM

  6. ...I was rather hoping Force Mobility would apply to more than one ability per Discipline. I'd argue it should apply to the majority of casting abilities, and melee should be given additional gap-closers to balance things out on a PvP field. This could also allow for some more interesting boss mechanics in PvE.

     

    With Force Mobility therefore being such a powerful tool, it would make sense to roll it in to the Advanced Classes themselves and replace the Utility power (because you'd basically always pick it), likewise melee's improved gap-closers would be rolled in to theirs as well. Does this seem like the kind of thing we may see in the future?

     

    Well actually this is pretty interesting... but... but..

     

    Now we will of course see more boss based on mobility and even PvP will do the same with the "purge cc"

    I see really interesting thing on the way.

     

    This is an half step to unbind "rotation game" and become a "dodge game" but the risk is to go to far and do something like GW2, or TERA and so on.

     

    This is a good change and I can bet in year we will see this utility as "standard" just because every one will use it.

    But I don't whant to see an introduction of dodge, skill, dodge...repeat.. in this game, operative are already nasty :p

     

    So this change is welcome, but small step are welcome too... I don't to see this game becoming star wars: the new dodge... so small step, one by one and we will see.

  7. It does only apply to one ability per discipline but look at what sages can get out of it.

     

    Cast healing trance on the move. Thats awesome as it should give more resplendence stacks.

     

    Rejuvenate is instant already but grants conveyance. mobile healing trance with higher crit - I love that.

    3 stacks of resplendence and salvation is instant.

    NEW skill - Roaming mend - instant cast - mobile

    While used sparingly, benevolence cast free and instant every 10 secs.

     

    Just having healing trance cast while moving is a really nice addition. My best heal while I run around where I used to have to stand still. I'm a bit excited for it. Almost like it's too good to be true.

     

    Yes it is simply great, I can't really wait to see it in PvP and in PvE!!!!! :D :D :D

    I like this kind of game style ;)

    and I whould like to share something. One thing hit me very hard:

    Force Mobility: Thundering Blast, Innervate, and Force Leech may be activated while moving.

     

    So do you think we are able to keep channel/cast while moving. This can be really great, I really hope there will be other class with this Heroic utility. It can be a great addition to the game the possibility to have some ability to cast in movement, it can add lot of boss mechanics.

     

    There are other concern in utility, there are some combo than can be really really annoying in PvP, but is just an impression without a real test.

     

    Good example are:

    Force Mobility + Force Haste/or/Surging Speed + Emersion.

    Or even a healer with bubble stund and so on.

     

    But all depend of course on other class utility.
