You got the DDE for the wrong reason. It is for people who want some extra fun items like the speeder, flare gun and holo dancer. I upgraded when I completed my subscription, could not be happier.
i also bought the digital uopgrade pack. i could be happier though. got a message the purchase failed and to try again. after doing this a few times and giving up i got charged 5 times by paypal. if it hasnt sorted itself by the middle of the week i will get angry!

It also means that in Flashpoints im going to roll on your heavy armor now because it has a mod i like, how does this make you feel? Or that im going to roll on your single bladed light sabers to make my double sided light saber better?
it makes me feel like you should have hit disassemble if you wanted that mod, not need.

i'm dark II and have her at around 1500. vette has been one of my favourite parts of the game so far. i've found myself watching what i say, cause i'm worried what she will think. whe i realised i was doing that, it was weird, but rather cool that the companion system could get me to do that.

thats a partial restart. a soft reset of the graphics display only. many issues will not be related to the graphics, so this will not help.
seriously, i work in IT support. over 50% of ALL issues reported are solved be restarting something.

send them a bug report. sorry, but hard crashes are almost always beyond what people on a message board can sort, especially if they replicable.

i was sure it had been mentioned, maybe not.
having said that, its pretty standard with anything on a computer that doesnt work to turn it off and back on again. games aint an exception. any problem, with anything, the first thing to do is turn it off and back on. hardware or software.
i had assumed people would know this, if that was an incorrect assumption, i apologise.
but for future reference, that is the first troubleshooting action that should be taken for absolutely everything.

immediate. i was logged on when setting up the security key and was under 20 seconds from having done it, to using the security key vendor.

theres a lift with a character called bouncer next to it. stand on the lift. be taken to a wonderful place the rest of us dont get into.

the only way i know for sure would work would be to set your refresh rate to 30 in your graphics drivers then enable vsync.
actually i should say that "should work" havent tested it so cant say for sure.

Yeah, the entire July build was pretty broken with the updating issue, since not only were the tooltips not updating, but the damage on weapons actually wasn't changing as it should have. Later builds were better in that it seemed the items themselves were working properly, but there were still a lot of issues with tooltips not updating (this even extended to skills when you trained a new level, so your tooltip for level 2 slash, for instance, still showed as level 1 slash, though I don't know if these issues are really connected).
the tooltip issue i experienced, but for some reason only as a jedi. as sith it was fine. as jedi i had to manuallym remove skills and re add from my powers tray.

Yes, the mods were the same - my girlfriend crafted them.
I think it's just an updating problem, like you said before. I am not a pompous *** like someone else in the thread, so I am very open minded, and was hoping all along (as the tone in my OP suggests), that it was indeed a bug.
it might be, but people (not just you) have not exactly been great at answering questions.
if you had 2 orange items, and have worn them both, and while you wore them had identical mods in both, and the stats did not show as the same while they were equiped, then that is a bug and you should report it.
frankly it should have been reported already, since we can talk about it, but not actually help.

Yes. Short of tattooing it to your own eyelids I presume - as I've already stated that I equipped both chest pieces and the armor value difference persists - yet you blatantly ignored that part.
Honestly, acting the internet-tough-guy gets noone anywhere - other than your credibility in the situation negated - so I would suggest entertaining the possibility that, maybe, just maybe, there are other intelligent people out there legitimately running into problems/bugs that are not fixing themselves by said "fixes".
and it persists while you are wearing it, with identical mods in both?

I have the same issue, also with guild chat. I think maybe with wargames chat as well. Anyways, I submitted a ticket and they said it's a known issue with a patch to fix it upcoming. Sucks because it's really hard to get anything done. I even got booted once b/c I didn't respond to party chat.
Anyways, I got the hard copy today, so I uninstalled and reinstalled/patched. Same issue. WTB fix.
you expected the hard copy, sent to manufacturers at least a few weeks ago, to be more up to date than the downloaded copy?

Because I DID post a screenshot with identical mods.....(or the only ones that should matter, as Armor Mod (not Mod or Enhancement) is the only thing that contributes to Armor Rating.
did you put the thing on? we've only mentioned this about a hundred times now......

probably a bug then, the game is in a very good state for an MMO launch, but there are still some random issues floating around.
report it to be safe via the in game bug report.

the game aint even launched folks. not everything is perfect. at least try to work round things at this point.
