  1. as I said before in different thread: this person enjoys griefing others here on forums. Whenever you post some thread, this person never fails to deliver a comment like the ones above. Is snarky the word?
Its the only word you can use on the forums lol. In the past I have gotten more then one warning from the mods about using "lives under a bridge and needs to killed with fire" word.
  2. Snark snark snarky snark snark.
It wasn't a surprise as the question was asked and answered before today, yet it still doesn't change the fact its a hole in the design of the system.

Yes it was a compliment, I think your need to be angry over something, anything it seems really, clouds your mind young padawan.

  3. Add an improvement, and someone will invariably claim that is is not good enough.
Make a legitimate observation and someone will invariably make a snarky comment about it.

Touted as the new "change your appearance at will" feature it is missing one of the most important parts.

  4. So you can save a whole set of gear to look however you want, but if you want to change the look of your mainhand and/or offhand you have to physically change out the weapons every time? I haven't used legacy gear much in the past cause I didn't want to be forced into one of a handful of looks. With the release of the outfitter I assumed I wouldn't have to look like I was wearing legacy gear in order to use legacy gear. Not so with the weapons slots. Add in the fact that there are so few legacy weapons out there, and something that was supposed to add a lot of choice to how your toon looks has a gaping hole in it. For every other slot you can see it does a wonderful job, it just comes up short when it comes to weapons.

Please tell me this will be changed in a future patch.

  5. IDoing the HM Ops you are pretty much guaranteed to get a piece of gear, if not 2, per week for 2-3 hours work, 4-6 if you run both HM Ops.

Guaranteed gear in HM Ops? What?!? LOL what hacks are you using to beat the rolls of everyone else in the op? Or are you assuming you're being carried by a grp that has it on farm and doesn't need the drops anymore?

  6. I understand what you mean, because I used to do Progression raiding too. But what I am saying is. Its easier for PvE because their coms gear doesnt need a token of sorts to upgrade to the next tier. And also, they can still transfer coms, while PvP'ers can not. Trust me, I know PvE can be hard, but so far, PvE Has it easier in terms of getting their entry level gear. While PvP, doesnt even have entry gear, you can maybe start with a few pieces of you stockpile your coms, then the rest you have to just deal with.
The difference between the token gear and the dropped gear is night and day. They might both say 198 on them but the stat distribution and lack of set bonuses makes quite a large gap between dropped HM items and 198 token pieces.
  7. As a group my guild is comparing some parses for our best Sorcs to compare with parses from our best Mercs and Snipers to see if there is a dps gap. On paper and on target dummies, it does appear that the nerf was a little heavy handed and the class is behind the curve slightly. This could be a pretty big issue for any Sorc in HM or NiM progression.

This is real issue everyone is missing, nerf quake/storm was inevitable, by why on earth did they nerf the proc rates and damage? Its main effect was to nerf PVE stats not pvp, and not a small nerf either. So now commando/merc who was already top of the pack simply pulls farther ahead of sage/sorc, all because the pvp whiners whined.

  8. The issue is it was force storm/quake that needed a nerf for PVP, no question about it, and instead they made changes that pretty much nerfed across the board for PVE as well. The changes they made to the proc rates and proc damage won't effect much in the relatively quick battles that happen in pvp, BUT have huge a effect on damage in the much longer Operation fights. So they over nerfed something that wasn't a needed change in PVP, without at all considering the consequences for PVE, simply because the whiners in PVP forums didn't understand exactly what the real problem was, nor did they understand the really good players in PVP didn't spec into the AOE damage buff anyway.

The OPs analogy was spot on, instead of a scalpel to change only what needed to be changed, they used an axe to just lop off the whole limb.

  9. Sweet. Now, Alex, what thought, if any, have you guys given to the idea that the vast majority of problems with bolster involve its interaction with Expertise?

Take the PvE player who decides to foray into PvP, but doesn't realize he should have 162s, not his 192s-198s on? And gets stomped and has a horrible time?

Have you given any thought to more fully utilizing bolster for PvP, and removing Expertise entirely? There have been a great many threads on that topic, with a significant amount of the population supporting it.

Significant amount of the population supporting it? LOL ya right.

The PVE player who goes into PVP without finding out about the basics of PVP has nobody to blame but himself for getting roflstomped. Are people seriously going so far as to ask for changes based on those who wander into something without having any idea how it works and expecting to be able to compete? Why not remove all but one abilities for each class so those who don't know anything about their class can still compete with those who do?

Or you can put the burden not on the devs to change the game to suit the clueless few, but instead place it on those that have chosen to play the game to find out the very basics of how it works and to play accodingly.

Add in how easy it is to get a full 2018 expertise rating and why take out any incentive for those who want to get better gear to play at all? Getting the best gear and then min/maxing it to get every little advantage possible is part of the fun.

  10. #it speaks as if it has purpose.......

so your ignorant AND you have no opinion why are you even here?

Sins are squishy is a stupid, stupid statement and then you doubled down with they are easily beatable. Hence why I stopped reading because nothing you could possibly say after that point could have any value whatsoever. Hatred is sick OP and anyone who says different either plays one or is just lacking anything resembling brain cells.

  11. I don't no weather to argue about the incompetence of people no being able to realize actually how squishy a shadow/sin can be once you blow through there cool downs or argue a case of how stupid it is to start nerfing classes based on 4v4 ranked performance

ok lets Nerf shadows - which are easily beatable....

Thats as far as I got before my BS meter went thru the roof.

  12. I think having silver humanoids (jedi and/or sith only perhaps) be scannable for archaeology drops is a bit of a stretch. It presupposes every silver humanoid would be an archaeologist and while I agree it would be balanced I think it would stretch credibility a bit much for my tastes.
Credibility in a game where everyone is running around riding rancors and flying on rocket boots?
  13. I will never understand the NO for the sake of NO people. No I think not, it shouldn't be any way other then how it is because of no.

The other gathering skills get two ways to get mats, meanwhile Archeology only gets one. It has a drawback right out of the gate because the nodes are split into 5 different kinds of mats, 3 color crystals which are so much more abundant they quickly become vendor trash, power crystals and artifact fragments, of which only the latter 2 are useful. I don't care how they do it, but to leave them missing out on an avenue for gathering, for no valid reason, is just stupid.

  14. I think permanent suspension is quite abusive, but 1-7 days for severe exploiters is a good thing.

It should have been 15-30 days for extremely severe exploiters rather than permanent suspension.

If you get a perma ban this is more than likely not your first offense or it was not only getting toons gear but also selling lockouts.

In other words if you get a perma ban you more than likely deserve it.

  15. Nobody is crying about the PvP gear, stop being ignorant. People are crying over the fact that palyers below 55 only get bolstered to ~31k HP while players above 55 get bolstered to ~40k HP, while alos have way better bonus damage and crit.

Who said anything about gear, l2read before responding.

If you mess with bolster to make the who cares levels balanced it will more than likely break the PVP that acutally matters, ie max level. What was your season 4 score in midbie or lowbie pvp? Oh thats right there is no seasons in those levels cause it doesn't matter, pvp at those levels are a means to an end (getting to max level) and not the end itself.

It would be like screwing over Operations to balance out lower level flashpoints.
