  1. I think its time for a change to come with 3.0 or some Cartel Market update. The idea is to replace the current class sets with the armor found here in this blog (couldn't find it on your site for some reason). http://dulfy.net/2014/10/15/swtor-developer-blog-class-story-leveling-event/ because that would be epic and i would pay the 1.500 Cartel coins for these sets. Or are these some sort of Reputation, FB, or OP sets?

    What do you think?

  2. I would like to THANK the SWTOR Developers for bringing back old sets via cartel packs and have gotten rid of most of the normally good looking armor in packs that show a lot of skin. Maybe some of the elder set could be bought as a full set via cartel coins.

Maybe even eventually some sets from raids and operations can be found in packs or BOUGHT OUTRIGHT PER SET ON CARTEM MARKET and stop draining people bank accounts on 100 cartel packs as soon as there are 2 or 3 new sets ahead of these current ones.

In the future i would like to all armor sets currently ingame and unobtainable npc sets, and BETA armor that has been long forgotten over the past two years. This includes pvp, operations, pvp, cartel market, you get the point.

These Ideas are also good for people such as casual or maybe just don't choose to engage in those types of gameplay modes that offer these rewards. THIS DOES NOT EXCLUDE WEAPONS EITHER.

May i ask a favor for being a loyal SWTOR player please? I missed out on Tulak Hord's armor set because i ran out of money so fast and couldn't replenish it fast enough. Maybe you could surprise us with a directbuy version of it in the future?????

    Thnkx

  3. Some people are having problems with unlocking the Advanced Blue Outline Crystals via cartel coin for all of their characters on their account(s). Are you aware of this bug or is it just now coming to light recently with a 2.9.a? I like other bought this crystal for its unique color and are bummed that it cannot be unlocked account wide.

Please Look into this problem ASAP if you have people there this weekend or have to wait till monday and give us a definitive answer as to why this is happening. If by unintentional mistake this topic has already been discussed AND HAS HAD A DEV REPLAY to it please point me in the correct direction.

Thank you devs for a hopefully speedy fix.

  4. I am having the same problem with the hawkeye version of this crystal and is sucks because i really like the color of it. I have just sent in a ticket literally 5 minutes ago. I probably will not hear from them for 3-6 weeks at minimum and the problem will probably be fixed in a patch by then lol
  5. I logged in one day and my game play was constantly choppy and skipping. After going through my computers services by trial and error I found by disabling the Bitraider Process that the game ran normally. Is there an issue with Bitraider or is this a known instance and you guys are aware of it?

Update: The game is choppy with BitRaider enabled. what else would be the problem?

  6. We are getting two new expansions in 2014. They stated this in a 2014 roadmap dev blog not too long ago.

One in size and scope to Galactic Starfighter. I assume that the housing ''Stronghold'' expansion is the one they are referring to as in size and scope. And since they are launching it per customer status rolling access for subscribers, preferred, and fee to players being last. And its free to play expansion gives it away.

Second expansion will be about the same size and scope of Rise of the Hutt Cartel. While we know nothing about this expansion yet, we should (or shouldn't) assume that it will be of equal content to that of Rise of the Hutt Cartel.

My personal opinion is we will see a new planet(s), flashpoints, operations, continuing quest chain left over from Rise of the Hutt Cartel, new species, new faction reputations and legacy weapons and armor for both Empire and Republic, etc. This expansion will probably have the same pricing models of the last expansion i.e. $10 for subs and $15-20 for preferred and free to play if i remember correctly.

Blah Blah Blah I'm sure someone, maybe hundreds have already addressed this to the original poster but I don’t care. I like typing.

  7. Developers, why isn't this armor piece dyeable? I bought it because it looks cool. Only problem is it is not dye able, or at least not yet. Please tell me if it is intended not to be dyeable for just a bug and will become dyeable soon. That being said, if I knew it wasn't dyeable I would never had bought it. I think I can say honestly without a doubt that other players who paid money to buy this piece of armor expected it to be dyeable.

I have a suggestion for cartel items regarding the descriptions or disclaimers. On the items Picture or within the items description itself please put red worded disclaimers that this particular item or items are non dyeable and or non collections unlock for all characters on a players account.

    Thanks,

  8. Bioware,

I would like to thank you for the new items released with 2.3 reputation and on the Cartel Market. You are stepping up your game and cant wait to see what else future items bring. If there is one suggestion i could give you it would be maybe someday you could sell all ALL of the cartel items that are in packs for direct single item purchase. This could be after the packs have been out for awhile or when you remove packs from the Market.

    Thank you!

  9. My one SWTOR pet peve is always hearing the devs talk about how hard it is for them to do things. Whaaa its to hard, its to difficult, not enough time, whaaaa. God man up for once or find new developers Bioware.

Other pet peves that also annoying.

    1. Crap textures on certain environments. Used to be low rez textures on toon, dresing room, and avatars but they ''kinda'' fixed that.

    2. Their ''fake'' Anti-aliasing that they claim is in the game.

    3. Low frame rates in certain environments.

    4. Again, always hearing the devs that its always too hard.

    5. Last but not least, The decision makers and marketing at Bioware.

  10. Hi there tumpai,

This is actually a great question, and I'm a bit surprised it's not come up before. The direct answer is that the note is a conglomeration of several small art fixes, and we often add a note like this to give people in the studio their props for fixing the whole darn galaxy almost every patch. These small things are not always visual, and sometimes they include things like sound effects, text (such as spelling or punctuation errors), etc.

To be far more detailed though, when we do a query for patch notes, one of two things can happen:

The first thing that can happen is that the query has only a few small fixes. In that case, we'll generally leave them out all together. Why? Because they're exceptionally minor and go completely unnoticed by most players. (There are examples below to illustrate what I mean by "minor" here). That's not to say we'll not go ahead and add them when the bug is minor but amusing. For example, we fixed a bug in 2.2.1 where the ground sounded like dirt where it shouldn't:

The Ziost Shadow Mission Deck has been cleaned and footsteps no longer sound as though players are moving through dirt.

The other thing that can happen when we pull notes is that we'll see several (or many) small fixes of this nature, and that's where we'll consolidate. It can be on a particular planet ("Made many art corrections on Makeb, fixing issues like floating rocks and trees, map holes, and incorrect textures."), in an instance ("Made several art corrections throughout the Operation to fix issues such as map holes and incorrect textures."), or scattered everywhere ("Multiple environmental art changes have been made across the galaxy.").

To illustrate a bit further, I'll provide a few of the exact fixes that were made in the last two patches alone to spur the three quoted notes above:

    • Ilum: Western Ice Shelf: A seam can be encountered on planet Ilum at the given coordinates.
    • Makeb: Telemur Mesa: Floating antenna present in the Telemur Mesa Heroic - Regulator Foothold area.
    • Operations: Oasis City Spaceport: A texture is missing from the top side of the elevator, allowing the player to view outside the game world.
    • Ilum: Western Ice Shelf: A texture is missing, allowing players to enter the rock and see through it. (It's interesting to note that when drilling down into this bug, one has to move the camera around to just the right angle to get this to happen.)
    • Makeb: Imperial: Descent into the Core: Object from the indicated location in the "Maintenance Shaft" area has an improper collision with a metal object placed on the wall.

If we were to list out every fix of this nature, it would make the overall Patch Notes exceptionally long and unwieldy (both to write and read!). Game Update 2.2.1, for example, had almost 100 fixes of this nature, and when they're made en masse we want to be sure that we call it out. You can find examples of these types of notes for visual, sound, and text fixes going back to before launch.

Now, not every art, sound effect, or text fix falls into what I've listed above. Things that are very visible will generally get their own note. Anyone who has encountered the headless, floating-eyeballed NPCs since 2.2.2 should expect that to be noted, for example.

I hope this answers your questions and provides a bit of insight into the Patch Note process.

Thank you very much Amber for your reply!

  11. SW:TOR is one of the most enjoyable MMOs though General Chat seems like anything goes, what are the chances we can clean up General Chat?

Much of what passes for General Chat in SW:TOR would not be tolerated in most other mainstream MMOs.

Yes players can be ignored, we can report players, use profanity filters, turn off chat etc though players who use General Chat to intentionally diminish the quality of collective gaming enjoyment of others still have a negative effect on our community.

When these same players are repeatedly behaving in this manner daily, it apparently gives other players the signal to do the same since they shape the view that there are no consequences for such behaviour.

I know you may not have enough resources to have Moderators periodically monitor Chat channels, contact players about breaching rules etc though at least begin to give the impression you are interested in cleaning up General Chat for the greater good of our gaming community by warning or suspending repeat offenders.

A Customer Service response confirming this is of high interest to you followed by appropriate action would be welcomed, since quite simply, much of what passes through General Chat is the single greatest blight on this highly enjoyable game.

How do other players feel about this, especially compared with responses by other MMO providers?

stop being such a goody white knights and man up

  12. Several of us have basically set the market standard for the price of this particular item for a few weeks now; suddenly a bunch of people undercut the rest of us by like 75% and for this entire week. Cant wait a few extra hours to sell so they'd rather make as little profit as possible? Never had I encountered such outrageous and baffling undercutting in the 6 or 7 years Ive played wow.

or maybe, just maybe you are and other people are selling items at too high a price?

  13. In the patch notes for 2.2.2 it is stated that Bioware has made ''Multiple environmental art changes have been made across the galaxy''. It would be nice if a Developer or a Community Representative could elaborate on this change more to us then just saying it was included. Whether it is a significant change or not I would still like to see what was done in game no matter how large or minor it is.

    Thank you

  14. you would think they would want to improve fps issues on makeb before art. everytime we hear them talk about making improvements to the game they are always like.... ''its to hard to do - to difficult to do'' LOL their own game is to difficult for them.
  15. While the Ziost Saber is a nice looking effect weapon some colors make it difficult to see the lightning effect and most of the time i cant even tell it has an effect. Would it be possible for the developers to consider or at least look in to improving the effect by making the lighting bolts thicker and more violent or even brighter so it will be better seen?

As far as the Tyton Saber goes it looks good as is and can be seen clearly. Thank you for your consideration on this issue.
