  1. This is very noticeable when the guild members I run with are approaching valor rank 50 and I'm pushing 35. At 50 valor per medal, it begins to add up. I get no healing medals between 75k and 300k? I put shields on my teammates and get no credit for absorbs? I score in Huttball three times in a match because we play objectively and I have nothing to show for it?

    Broken system is broken.

  2. Not quite sure what you're doing but I generally walk out with Immortal/9 Badges s a healer.

    2.5k Heal.

    2.5k Crit.

    75k damage.

    75k healing.

    1x killing blow.

    10 kills.

    25 kills.

    1k defender points.

    3k defender points.

Usually need expertise buff for the 2.5k damage crit though.

You should easily be able to get the 75k damage medal from casting your 1min cooldown AoE on their group when available; which is also more important than doing a 3k heal.

I get 7 or 8 in VS or Alderaan, but Huttball is a different story. If you focus on moving the ball and not farming kills, you don't get awards.

  3. You can still DPS. It's not like picking a healing role suddenly negates all damage you do.

I dps when need be, I burn the ball handler and dps others when they are trying to burn me down. What I don't do is run around the warzone dps'ing. I'm a healer and that's my primary focus. There's no way I can achieve the damage awards that damage dealers do if I am doing my job effectively, unless the other team is really that bad.

  4. Why is it that I can run a Huttball match, get 225k healing, score two times, multiple assists near the inzone, and still come up with only two medals? There are awards for killing blow, multiple tiers of damage done, defense, etc, but I get a medal at 75k healing and no more healing medals between that and 225k?

I suppose if I farmed Huttball and tried to tag every opponent I could increase my awards, but that's not how the game is supposed to be played. In my guild premades, we score...and we do it quickly. When the match is over, I'm at the bottom of the list with two medals, despite all of my efforts in making it a victory.

While I don't think awarding medals to those who score is a good idea because I feel it will lead to more "ball hogging" and less team play, I think this issue with other awards should be looked at a little more closely.

  5. I hate to say it, as a raider myself and someone who loves the game. The game was not made for Raiding / PVP / or any standard MMO principles. This is a themepark MMO, for the more casual crowd. The selling point is the Story and the questing. Which is top notch and the best in the business. everything else.... lol

All in all, everything can be fixed in one patch. But will it?

This being a themepark MMO has nothing to do with the raid encounters being bugged. WoW is a themepark MMO, what is your point? It is very frustrating to encounter these things. We've cleared all normal mode content, but it was a p.i.t.a. to get it done. My favorite is not being able to invite "insert random guild member" to the raid because either they don't get the invite or when they do, they are unable to zone in. This has happened countless times and we have to go down the list until we find people that can actually zone into the raid without getting the "The owner of this instance must reset...blah blah blah."

  6. Actually it's like this:

Mike: I bought this ticket to see the Patriots, it includes a free meal!

Jason: So did I! I got in 3 hours ago, been walking around enjoying the stadium

Mike: But I bought the same ticket you did! Why am I being told I have to wait outside for 2 more hours!?!?

Jason: Because I am good and bought my ticket a month ago, while you bought yours two days ago! HAHAH NOOB!

    No, it's more like this:

Mike: There's a contest going on for Patriots tickets. There are a lot of tickets and the sooner you call the hotline, the better your chances. They have so many tickets that they can't give them all out for one game but you have the opportunity based on how soon you respond to go to this Sunday's game or next Sunday's game.

Jason: Cool, I'll wait because I don't really think they mean they are going to stagger the tickets across several Sunday's.

Mike: Ok, that's cool but I'm calling right now!

  7. I wouldn't mind the waves so much if the servers were packed with long queue waiting lines. However the servers are almost all only lightly populated, only one PvE server is heavy pop with a few others at standard.

Yeah? So you'd rather have long queues and crowded starting areas. If that's the experience you want, then wait and play at midnight on the 20th, when the retail launch begins. They've already stated their intentions for EGA and those intentions aren't to stress test the servers. They know what they are doing and people are just going to have to either kick a can down the road or quit complaining.
