  1. Just curious. If say after all these chapters are done. And the choices matter just as much as they seem to now (which isnt at all..who cares someone dies. They will b replaced) what will u be saying then?

I'll be saying the choices didn't matter, obviously.

Can you not see what my point was? My point is people are making conclusions on something that hasn't concluded yet.

  2. You may not have the credits, gear or comms from leveling, but you won't have to worry about choices you might have made 1-60 because not a single choice prior to KOTFE has any impact on it. It's a feature!

    Untrue.

Sith Inquisitor ending matters. Depending on your alignment at the end of the class story, NPCs will either call you Darth Nox, Darth Imperius, or Darth Oculus. A very, very small thing, but it's proof that there is some carry over from the class stories. :)

Also, whether or not you romanced Lana or Theron is mentioned. More carry over.

  3. Alright, I've read enough of these messages.

Simply put, you're all mistaken. The story didn't -end-. It's not -over-, so you deciding right now that there are no consequences to your choices is just rubbish, since the story hasn't been concluded yet. Do you need to be reminded that there are still several chapters missing? That chapter 9 isn't even close to the last chapter?

  4. You wont be getting the class story completion from the free 60, they've said that already... if you want the missing buff, you have to complete the class story.

These free 60's are basically for new players to be able to see the 4.0 story or for existing players to trial decisions. It won't fill in unlocks or complete any past achieves. Myself, I will use it as a char to trial decisions on my main, sage.

If that's the case then /groan.

I don't need or want a new 60. If it really doesn't give the buff, then I'm not using the boost. No need to.

  5. Sorc forever .... Basically together with Sage the only class I really excell at

Yeah. Been a sorc since launch. The only class I could stomach playing for long periods of time. I'll probably just spend the free 60 on a bounty hunter, just to get the buff I'm missing.

  6. Ill gladly trade you the Ashara who hangs out in my ships engine room no matter how rudely i tell her to piss off for your Quinn. At least Quinn is nice to look at (yes i know lots of you guys love miss tentacle head, but im not a lesbian and Asharas a whiney ********)

I don't love her at all. She's... she's a god damn Jedi, on my ship. Darth Nox's ship. She BACK TALKS and throws Jedi teachings in my face.

WHY MUST I TOLERATE THIS JEDI SCUM?!

  7. Force walking gives an extremely powerful boost, although it might be more accurate to look at it as "You're a slave in early 3643 and on the Dark Council towards the end of 3641. Not that 3~ years is much better than 2. It should be pointed out that Darth Thanaton also rose from slavery to the Dark Council very quickly,

Actually, Teneb Kel was instructed to hunt down the emperors apprentice in 3678 BBY. Within that year, he became Darth Thanaton. It was only in 3642-3641 that Thanaton ascended to the council. It was not even close to being as fast as the SI.

If Thanatons ascension was very quick, then the SIs was faster than light speed.

Im not 100% sure, but isnt the SI between the ages of 16-21? I read somewhere that's the age of that character.

I'm not sure either. So far, the youngest dark council member to ever join was Darth Marr at age 20. If the SI was 16 at the beginning of the story, then that would make them the youngest one to join at age 18 or 19. Not really important, but it would be cool to know.

  8. Two years? From what I've read, and the timeline of swtor, the sith inquisitor enters the sith academy in 3643 BBY, and in 3641 BBY he/she ascends to the dark council.

To go from a lowly slave to the dark council in two years is more than a "quick" rise, as it is often described in-game. The speed at which the inquisitor goes through the ranks should be awe-inspiring, and fear inducing, also considering how young the inquisitor actually is. Darth Marr refers to you as a child. At first I thought he was just trying to talk down to you, but he's right; the inquisitor is incredibly young for their title.

It stands to wonder why there weren't more Sith Lords, or Dark Council members, who feared you like Thanaton did.

  9. Yes, EVERYONE else didn't get anything, because they're not counting qualified characters until 31 July and they're not distributing the rewards until 7 August.

Did anyone else not read the announcement? :D

    No need to be condenscending.

I read it as everyone who transfers will get these items as long as you have an active subscription that extends beyond July 31st. They said your account must be active BY July 30, 2012, so it shouldn't be odd that I interpreted it the way I did. It doesn't say you get the items ON the 30th.

  10. 1.4 should bring the HK-51 companion side story which should extend the story to some degree. On top of that, there should be new flashpoints, operations, warzones and dailies. Plus if Makeb will be included, you'll have a whole new world to explore which will come with its own conflicts and story.

I'd imagine 1.4 to be a huge focus on story so stay tuned and keep alert for new updates.

I was hoping for more class stories. Sigh, maybe 1.5? Anyway, thank you.

  11. So, I unsuscribed a while ago, but I've just come back out of rekindled interest, although I don't suspect I will be staying for long.

The main reason I played was for the storylines, and I've played through all of them already. I was wondering if there has been any information on expanding the class stories in to a fourth chapter? If so, does anyone know when it may be added?

  12. Healers are still viable. I loved hearing the healers in my clan cry about it when 1.2 first went live, but when they actually started playing they just had to adjust their play style a bit.

While they can die quicker, an extra healer in the group is the easiest fix for your healing needs.

    -fuzz

Yo dawg, we heard you need a healer so we gave you a healer to heal your healer.

  13. lololol

I guess healers have to actually be good to be effective now. Nothing to see here, kids; likely clickers and keyboard turners crying about their diminished skill (weird, since this is SWTOR).

There's no room to be "good" when you're dead.

  14. Really? I can have him say everything is fine on the forums for you. He plays a Mercenary.

Without my guard, things are not fine. But that's how it should be. Warzones should be about teamwork.

No. Healers shouldn't be bursted down by a single DPS peeler easily.

In team fights, nerfed survival for healers was necessary, yes. But now healers spend more time healing themselves instead of the team because of the massive damage output and healing nerfs.

That is, if they can spend more than a second alive after being teamed on.

  15. I think that depends on the players man.

You are extrapolating skill into a conversation on ability or inability granted by the game.

I'm telling you that I have personally sat and watched my health go down to 4k from 16k and within 1 Kolto injection crit and spamming Surgical Probe 3x I was back to full health against a Maur in a WH/BM mix of gear, and a Concealment spec Operative that was full BM.

There is nothing wrong with healing, but there may be a few issues with healers!

I call BS. You got pounced on by a maur and not killed? :[ Not buying that.

  16. I completely agree. I played 45 games yesterday -- the first 3 were solo queues and I lost them. Some of my guildies got online and I formed a premade. I won 42 games yesterday.

I will confess that at first things were looking bad at times. But I am a Juggernaut, so this is going to be my perspective. (I also have a Sorcerer healer but didn't play it; it's an alt.)

Yesterday the damage on healers was INTENSE. Not just healers, but players in general. Back in 1.5, I was playing Immortal and Smash, changing between the two. Mostly Smash since I didn't need to play Immortal with any decent healer. I'd rarely switch to Soresu form; only as required or carrying the Huttball.

I'm playing Vengeance now. Almost all of my games yesterday required me to play in Soresu form and to guard my healer. I would, pending damage on the healer, intercede on CD and peel off my healer's enemies.

I mean, it's a difficult concept, I know, but healers shouldn't just be able to survive everything. They STILL can, but it requires teamwork. Of course this will be countered with other good players on the opposing team, but as it is now, as a Juggernaut, I will keep my healer up. I may even go Immortal.

Another non-healer saying everything's fine. What a surprise

  17. hmm...I think if some dps can get close to any healer you should die.In before 1.2 patch when someone dpsing you you wouldnt die and you can still heal other!?! Isnt it too OP???

    /Facepalm

That isn't balance. All they did was take the advantage healers had and gave it to DPS. All they did was flip the table.

Healers aren't supposed to be killed by one DPS peeler. They're supposed to be pressured by a DPS, not completely destroyed.
