Star Wars: The Old Republic To Add Same-Sex Romance
It was sort of strange that The Old Republic launched without homosexual relationships. Romance is poorly handled in all BioWare games, but if they're going to put the feature in there it might as well be all-inclusive.
In an upcoming patch, players will finally be able to have same-sex relationships. All they'll have to do is travel for three hours then find one of two appropriate NPCs. They will be located in a cantina the size of a stadium, with five patrons. Talking to the NPC will start the premium questline, which only costs 10,000 Cartel Points or $8, or 200 Cartel Points for subscribers. Please be aware that the flowers which are necessary to complete your romance can only be stored in a premium inventory slot, which is available for an additional sum.

I recently let my subscription slide and am now playing as 'preferred status' .
I have found that since this has happened I have had new goals and something to actually do for end game content, which is earning credits to purchase all the unlocks I need form the GTN (assuming the prices are not above the credit cap limit).
Unify colours and hide head slot for all characters is my first goal.
Has anyone else found that stopping their subscription has actually improved their game?

How on earth is and developer to make any money? Those extra 5 levels are the carrot on the stick. Classic MMO design LOL.
To me the subscription gives me access to play the current game. If said game is upgraded I need to pay an upgrade fee to access those new features. After all those features were not part of the original game.
Be happy they aren't charging an extra dollar a month subscription. I do agree that the complete feature set of the xpac need to be outlined at least a month in advance of release.
its barely upgraded tho a new planet mabye the size of belsavis lol planets arent even big in this game $10 for an expansion o wait its not an expansion its a content update they promised us 4 months and are now charging us for

Which leads to other issues, such as for example Life Day which in the era of the old republic was only celebrated on Kashyyyk, a planet which we do not yet have. So you'd not only need to introduce some basic objects, enemies, missions and voice acting, but an entire planet whilst you're at it.
It may be one of the reasons they're actually introducing Makeb. As Makeb is a non-existing planet, entirely new to the lore, introduced by this game. This will allow for much more creative freedom as they could introduce a few Makeb specific events in the future, without breaking Star Wars lore; rather they're just continuously adding to it.

this game is a sinking ship if you say other wise im not gonna call you a fan boi im gonna call you a retard that doesn't have basic maths skills. here is my long list of detailed suggestions for this upcoming DLC:
1. rise of the cartel coin - do not release this DLC ( not expansion) yet wait at least another year actually build it into a expansion cause ATM it looks like a update we shouldn't even be paying for. you think everybody is gonna buy this **** no lawl if you release this DLC as it is trust me you will lose many more subs and we will end up with 3 servers per region the reasoning behind this alot of people dont believe your ******** kewl stories anymore EAware and are sick and tired of the way you treat your player base.a expansion should expand not add a ****y planet probably the size of belsavis and extra 5 lvls for money.i know you probably wont even take a look at this but if theres the slightest chance you devs do listen to this part especially. ADD THIS **** TO CARTEL MARKET MAKE IT FREE FOR SUBS AND F2P CAN BUY IT FOR CARTEL COINS LIKE SECTION X LAWL.
2. world pvp - you have an opportunity to use a new planet for world pvp im not asking for a planet wide world pvp zone just make an area were players can go capture points and the faction with more points gets maybe some sort of commendation they can spend on a vendor for pvp items such as a new tier of Armour only obtainable through world pvp it would have the same stats as wz top tier but mabye a different look.
3. an achievement system - the codex is complete crap i speak for most players when i say we want bragging rights and achievement system can add that say player 1 looks at player 2 achievements he has an achievement that's really hard the other guy would be inspired to go out and do something different than he normally would.
4. mini-games - currently the only thing close is space but no one does that any way add some fun mini games with visual rewards and things that are not obtainable through anything else this would add more things to do and not so much sitting on the fleet which will be my next rant
5. fleets - death star the fleets capitol cities should have been the main hubs from the beginning the fleet makes us feel disconnected from the game its dull it boring and its crap. have an event were the imps or reps bored each others fleet and pvp for a few days but then something happens and the fleets get blown up so all the ships retreat to there capitol worlds.
if you guys would just listen to your community this game wouldn't have failed so hard i still play tor i will continue to play tor but i really cant see this game sticking around for a extended period of time before u know it there wont even be region set servers there will be 3 servers in total.

As a subscriber, what was the greatest benefit of the free to play conversion?
I think most of us can agree that it was a huge population infusion. The game is fun and the conversion probably stopped the exodus of subscribers once they had people to interact with again.
The thing with free to play people, though, is that the reason they showed up in the first place is because they didn't have to shell out (much) money. These are not the type of consumers who are going to plunk down $20 for Makeb.
The complaints on the forum are from people who have already demonstrated a willingness to pay a monthly subscription for the game. Most of the free to play people don't even know it's coming and their only voice will be their wallets (they don't have forum access).
This game is going to empty out again just like before free to play when Makeb hits. I don't think there's much of a case to be made otherwise. The servers will become just like they were before free to play.
i just hope eaware know that the servers will be once again dead if they dont do this right

Wow, do you really have that much spare time dude? If yes, well, then there is nothing BW can do about it. Surprisingly(!) most people have lives out there; you know things like school, work, friends, families etc...
Oh and don't get me wrong; I'm not writing these to start a fight with you. But come on and be realistic: Maxing your char slots and doing everything with those toons should reqiure ZERO real life and 24/7 SWTOR. I'm sure there are people like that (and I'm really sorry for them) but I don't want to believe that they're the majority. If so, BW should release new content every 2 weeks and even that wouldn't be enough for those people.
Having said those things, I also have to say that the social non-fighting part of the game should be worked on a bit more. I shouldn't log onto the game and say "who do we kill today?" all the time. Some actions that don't involve killing would be nice.
As I said, I'm not trying to start a fight but there are still people enjoing the new content that came with 1,6 unlike those who "consumed" it in just 2 days after its release.
ZERO real life and 24/7 SWTOR
lul wut u can lvl a character from 1 - 50 in 10 days mabye another 10 days for maxed pvp or pve gear ur everything is invalid

This shows up in pvp in this game but not other games... so it is not my system or my internet.
When I am playin my Merc... I try and kite what little I can.
There are Marauders who chase me but are more than 4 body-lengths (9+ meters) behind me just swingin away and doing massive damage to me. It looks incredibly stupid and is only 1 reason why melee is so OP compared to range.
Will they ever fix it??? Can they ever fix it???
