how do you rank up crew skills? im level 31 scavenging and still can only do the basic missions.

dont use missions for ranking, loot stuff in the world, its much quicker. Put up your map, click resource filter, and walk around. Sending companions out on missions for resources is a waste. Use them for mission skills and crafting. In 1 hr i ended up with 300 resources and many levels just by walking around.

If you do missions you want to do the high yield missions.

yeah but still cheaper just to harvest resources in the field and use companions to mission skills.

 

Say you send out companion for 115 credits and brings back 5 desh. Right off the bat you are 23 credits into an item that you ahve to charge for to break even. granted higher levels you get more return, but hes just lvl 36ish. So thats about the right return.

 

As if you just walk.drive around and pick them up for free while questing/grinding. You dont have to put that 23 credits in there.

 

So if i craft items i get for free compared to his 23 credit higher items, i can undersell him and still make a profit, while hes out credits selling at cost if lucky.

 

Is this what the op is referring to, since he did say scav skill.

 

plus is much quicker to level gathering skills in the field.
