Xraze
Hello, I really think we should be able to switch from the advanced classes. I know that it's technically a "Different" class but still, it has the same damn storyline and it's just like repeating the whole game from 1-50 again. KiroLM
There is more than one advanced class for every character role. If you want a tank and a healer, play a tank and a healer that have different archetypes so you get the role with a different story.
Shadysketchy
Normally, I'd be against this But since SWTOR is a "story driven" game, it really doesn't make sense to force people through each story twice, to have every Class at max level
Nemmar
No, we shouldnt. Leveling a character to lvl 10 takes 2-3 hours. Having 2 classes on 1 character is just silly. Its a choice. If you want a different advanced class you have reason to lvl another character. Sigh... next make a thread called: I'm too lazy! Give me all classes in one character and i'll be happy to come QQ in the forums in a couple of days on how my character isnt unique, theres no content. etc. QQ QQ and more QQ. Thats all i see in these forums. Try thinking about sugestions that are good for the game as a whole, and not just good for selfish old you. Aramyth
This shouldn't be the case then you'll have people at max level able to switch between two completely different roles and the game isn't designed this way. It's not like FFXI.

VeganHipster
you don't have to play the same class story twice. Play the mirrored class. For example: If you played a Jedi Shadow, play a Sith Sorcerer to get the other advanced class and still get a different story.

Baedun
No we should NOT be able to switch Advanced classes. If you wanna play a tank then roll a tank, if ya wanna be a healer then roll a healer. What's the problem? Why do people keep asking for this?

Marxeh
Play one advanced class making purely Light choices and another purely dark choices? Makes the storyline different and you get different experiences.
LilTikiBoy
oh dear god, another one. how many threads with this topic have to be put down before you guys stop whining?
Darth_Gao_Gao
i am against this. the choice of advanced class should be a compelling and difficult choice, which it is. if anything, they should allow for one advanced reclass, at great cost. only one. furthermore, once you play out a class to level 50, much time should have passed. replaying the class differently is then made fun again, unless you are one of those spacebar people that we keep hearing about. LeonBraun
I think maybe I'll ask Blizz to let me switch between a Mage and a Warlock at will. Maybe my Tank/DPS Death Knight and my Holy/Ret Paly should be interchangable at will also.

Ya, that would be horrible to have more players capable of filling more rolls. What a travesty.

What a travesty. by that logic we should have classes at all, just 4 trees, 1 healing 1 tank 1 melee dps and 1 ranged dps, then we could add quad specing so everyone could fill every roll and the world would be perfect!!!! Nah, you still would just have 4 classes that can each fill different rolls. As it is there aren't really 8 classes. Just 4 with a dumb choice to make that has zero effect on the story. Just limits what a character can do. A sith warrior still would never be able to heal, an agent would still never be able to tank, but if you rolled a dps version of your class and your guild needed a tank you could just swap and fill that roll for them. But I know, having freedom to do what you want with your characters is a big no-no around here.

Are you saying that, should guild demands (or whatever demands) need it, I should be able to switch to a warrior so I can tank? What game gives you this "freedom to do what you want with your characters"? At least to the degree you are suggesting. In SWTOR I play a BH Merc. Now the Merc AC has a Healer Tree and a DPS Tree (and another DPS Tree but that's not my point). So I can respec my tree WITHIN my AC to fill the roll of either Healer or DPS. How is that not what you are wanting? Edited January 1, 2012 by Vesperascit
