Trushott Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 a lot of times those you think are afking are actually trying to take do objectives rather than particpating the pvp fest that most warzones are becuase so few actually try to do objectives but would rather pvp most times more often than the not the ones that win a pvp match for you are no where near top of the board at end of match and rarely get mvp votes becuase those go usually to the ones who would rather just pvp instead of protect or obtain objectives or in case of hutball position themselves in scoring position and may have to wait a couple mins doing nothing to get n advancer to pass it to them ... maybe your one of the ones trying to pvp all the time instead of winning the matches maybe not but ive been called an afker many times when i was only one on team actually trying to do the objective this is particularly true in huttball most of all followed by voidstar most people have a grasp of alderaan and it has the most pvp to win but most players still do not grasp that some of the warzones have zero to do with pvp aka huttball killing your opponets just puts them right back at the goal line your trying to score at which is dumb CC snare stuns is all you should be doing unless you need to kill to keep other team from scoring ... stat padders will lose a game of huttball pretty muych everytime Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Sokushi Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 i think if a character doesn't do any damage or healing every min or 2 then they should be kicked how ever someone could just set the keyboard they have to hit the button for self heal. When I get there, what do I find to my surprise? An Assassin sitting there in stealth who went afk for the entire match. I proceeded to kill him and I believe he got booted from the match for not leaving the start zone. It's really disappointing to see this kind of behavior. I reported them and I hope they get banned. He didn't even try to play. At the end of the match the score board showed him having zeros in all columns. I knew better and didn't queue till I got some class defining skills (around level 14) and I'm generally near the top of the charts on my Sorcerer and Juggernaut alts. Maybe the problem isn't the system but the player? I digress, but I had an all 50 game with one level 17. The level 17 ran the ball 5 times that match. The AFK'ing situation definitely does need to be addressed, but it'll have to be in the sense of a report player similar to the WoW concept. All other ideas could be unfair to noobs or people joining at the very end (wouldn't that suck to get a 1 hour lockout because you joined at the last second). If you're AFK'ing in a match you're just bad, ignorant, used to welfare or all of the above. EDIT: I also wanted to add that its a shame that games have to continually implement these anti-cheat systems because their populace is full of dirtbags. Whatever happened to playing to have fun? There are no server transfers or name changes (yet anyway) and there are no cross server warzones. Keep afking in matches, people will know your name. Don't be surprised when nobody wants to group with you for raids, flashpoints, or PVP. There is already one person notorious for AFKing in warzones on my server.
