Disastersaurus
So every build I've seen, no one seems to take Energy Blast, and I'm kind of confused why. It puts out 800 damage and builds ammo; it seems like it'd be a good thing to replace Hammer Shot with for when you're in close range. Am I missing something here? Well honestly, first of all it comes down to personal preference, then actual usefulness, mostly no one is taking it because, aside from the damage, getting one more ammo isn't really worth a talent point vs the other options. Maintaining ammo as shield spec is not a problem. So spending that point on say: gut if your going to want more damage in your rotation, or go get power armor and soldiers endurance for the highest survivability. I'm trying to build a PvP Shield spec, any chance you could tell me how this looks? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801GRMMdRroMZrcrMoZb.

Also, this is just something with a few changes but could possibly work, all really depends on what rotation you want to use and play style http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801GRMMdRbRZbsMMoZbcb.

I don't really like Paralletic Combat Stims though, 2 talents for 1 ammo when I get status'd is a pretty bunk deal. How about this? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801GRMMdRbRMZrsMMoZbz.1 Lets me keep my stock strike boost.
DeathMerchant
I was just thinking that, if your going for the survivability I run 100% shield spec, I don't have it, might in the future, I'm still fp spec'd, but with all the cc around right now in pvp, that can almost take you from 0- to full with no restriction on how much ammo you'll regen. Also, even though aim isn't a super big dmg, it's some so I'd take the 2 out of Ceramic plating and go with steely resolve. But other then that, yea looks good I'd run that, be a nice cycle between stock, gut, HIB Edited January 1, 2012 by DeathMerchant
Disastersaurus
Yeah but honestly I rarely stay CC'd in PvP, I'm not sure why. In any case, I'm not sure I wanna keep dropping survivability, but I might do it.
DeathMerchant
Yea but that 6% absorption only comes into play based off of your shield chance, I'd take ion pulse over ceramic plating, and when your going to be up against the casters, your dmg mitigation is only 5% base unless you've upped it, so unless your going to go for a full sheild spec with the most survivability I wouldn't bother. Hope that helps.
