Eivon Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Ok so my trooper is only lvl 37 sofar but have gotten 10k dark side points through alot of questing and diplomacy missions. I am liking the whole crew skills idea in this game sofar but one things really and I mean really bugs me. Artefact(purple boe) mission discoveries for diplomacy... It could be that I have just been really unlucky but every single 340 purple mission I have bought in the AH has given light side points. It's no problem for me since I am so low level but it will royally mess you up at lvl50. Reason being that some gear, for example the dark side speeder needs dark V to be usable. Last purple boe mission I did ended up taking I would say at least 1,5hours to repair with other diplomacy missions. I quess you could always just chose to not send your companion on a mission discovery but they cost alot of money. Also like I wrote every single one has been for the wrong alignement for me. In total I have perhaps bought 7-8 missions in the AH. Is it somehow tied to your faction? So that the game only gives light side missions to republic and dark for empire? edit: to clarify for those that don't know, dark/light V rank is lost as soon as you get a single point of the other alignment. It can be brought back ofc but it takes a number of missions/quests to do if you have used a 340 purple mission since they give so many points. Trip Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 I'm at 50 with Dark V as well, with Diplomacy. I'd like it that if it would lock in your darkside/lightside rank at V is you got that far. Maybe with an option in the preferences? But whenever I send a lightside mission out I just make sure I also send out 1-2 Darkside missions as well to balance it out. If you accept the lightside missions first, then the darkside missions that seems to be the best way to ensure you are not down to Darkside IV for too long. The purple missions takes so long to send out on also. I would imagine you couldn't just before you logged out send one companion on a light side purple mission and two on dark side non purple and expect them to even out. Reason being that the time for non purple missions is alot faster so the dark side points would arrive to your character when he is at dark V still if you sent them at the same time. Hope that makes sense, perhaps a clumpsy explanation. A trinket or whatever that locks out because not fullfilling the dark V requirements I can see as not being that big of a deal. But something like a speeder etc. That really changes the way you can play. Just logged into my bankalt and bought three 340 purple missions. Will be interesting to see if the curse continues... edit: alright finally, I got two DS missions and 1 LS. Was about darn time. What was interesting but perhaps just random chance was that the mission discoveries with an icon like a small scroll gave DS and the one which has a round sort of saucer shape gave LS. Never thought about what the icons looked like before. If it indeed was made to be that you could differientiate between DS and LS boe missions from the icon that would solve the dilemma all together.
