Calvillanous
I have heard that there is a way to get an HK-51 as a companion. I'd like to get conformation on this. An explanation of how to acheive this would be nice! (HK-47 was my all-time Fav character in the KotoR games) If there are secret characters? Can we list them here along with all relevant information such as how to gain them, etc.? Thanks for any information provided.
Munx
From what i gather he used to be on hoth, but now it seems they either moved or removed him, cause it seems no one has found him again. I was kind of hoping I would somehow get him when you maxed out all companions affections, I was wrong, I didnt get as much as a title.
Shadysketchy
I heard they removed HK-51 (probably will be added later as a micro-transaction pet) On a side note: Why was HK-47 your favorite character? He seemed pretty useless, annoying, and socially inept to me

amnie
MTs are a dealbreaker. BW would be wise not to make WoW's mistake. this. I'd much rather have people know I did something 'special' to get a certain pet/companion/mount or got something crafted that is 'epic' (even if it's useless for gameplay) than people seeing me running around with a companion that tells them I spent extra money on getting just this tiny pixel item (I'm not talking about stuff you got from the CE or DDE)
Shadysketchy
MTs are a dealbreaker. BW would be wise not to make WoW's mistake. SWTOR already has more pay-to-win than WoW; in WoW, all you can buy for real money, from Blizzard, are vanity pets, and reskinned mounts SWTOR gave Collector's Edition buyers vanity items, as well as a free mount, saving them lots gold

SodaOfYoda
I've been reading around trying to keep up to date on this and it looks like bits and pieces are in place for his existence but none are implemented yet. I can't imagine with as many hours people have spent scouring the planets, especially Hoth, and the raw data that's been mined, that he hasn't been found yet if it was possible. Sardoni
The quest line that used to be on Hoth didn't give you a companion. It was a quick and vague quest chain that you entered a downed ship and found the droid. You went back to the quest giver and learned the history of those droids and one of the prompts was "I want one of those!" and the NPC said no they had to be sent to Imperial/Empire HQ for further study. Fully VO'd. Same result on both factions. The droids in the ship were interactable but it would move you into a conversation prompt and say "You are not eligible for this conversation." The location of the ship is north of that ice palace on the map before the starship graveyard. Republic players drive by it naturally during their leveling progression (bit of a hike for Sith players) and probably wonder why there's a camp of NPCs near a giant ship with a red door that just says "Group phase." It was fully operational in my beta build and rewarded nothing to the player but like some hoth tokens and maybe some green boots. It was a teaser if anything. I dragged my leveling buddy up there when we were on Hoth leveling and told "We have to do this little side quest you'll love it!" because he was an HK fanatic... but I led him to disappointment =( Edited January 1, 2012 by Sardoni

WoW doesn't give you useless crap for buying their collectors editions too? You can't actually purchase mounts or vanity pets? You're REALLY reaching here, man. Calvillanous
Thanks Sardoni! That's the best info I've heard so far. I hope that the quest line does get implemented. Anyone else have any other info?
Matteis
The HK-51 companion is supposedly in the game files. I'm no data miner so I couldn't confirm this, but he does appear to be in the game, just not accessible. Content patch companion (among others), perhaps? Swift
SWTOR gave Collector's Edition buyers vanity items, as well as a free mount, saving them lots gold WoW collectors editions all come with vanity pets and vanity items. (everyone comes with a loot card from the WoW Trading Card Game with a guaranteed loot item). For in game advantage, all the CE does is save you 8,000 credits because you don't have to buy a speeder at level 25 which is not very much at all. Edit: Additionally, HK-47 was easily the best voiced and written companion from the original KOTOR. Edited January 1, 2012 by Swift
SnoggyMack
I heard they removed HK-51 (probably will be added later as a micro-transaction pet) Sketchy's got it wrong, as usual. The rumor is it will be added later for people to purchase off of the Collector's Edition Vendor, but only after they've maxxed both lightside and darkside points. acheros
I'm shocked! You get the droid as a vanity pet after you walk backwards through Taris and kill everything on the way. You then have to max out social skill points and put Lucas as a legacy name.
