NightfireFox
Having a more solo-focused game means that there are fewer ways a player's individual experience can be negatively affected by other players. TheSuperD
So what exactly would be the point of the "online" part? I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just not sure what you mean.
Shadysketchy
In a lot of ways it basically is just KOTOR Online I think you got your wish, OP Edited January 1, 2012 by Shadysketchy

Akin to what it is now; Heroics, Flashpoints. I just don't want this game to go in a direction that would drive away the KOTOR playerbase.
VeganHipster
I think he means something like in Diablo. Where there was a single player mode and a story you would follow, and then an online mode to group up with around four players to do some other quests. I mean, kind of already is that. We have the singleplayer quest and then for flashpoints/heroics you group up with four other people. Except for this we have to pay 15 bucks a month. I would have preferred something like that too. We could have had higher graphics quality similiar to recent Mass Effect/Dragon Age and still have the KOTOR gameplay. But I like TOR.

In my experience, MMO communities are more unfriendly than most and too competitive. The fun factor has to come first.
bobdelany
I fail to see how this isn't basically a giant KOTOR 3, 4, and 5 if you want it to be. This is an incredibly soloable MMO. It's also an excellent MMO.
Bennis
Kotor would have been about revan, instead we got a ****** book.

Feskitt
So long as they keep up a lot of shards, it's more or less like this now. Thankfully. Can't stand seeing people running around where I'm questing, camping respawn points, stealing loot while I'm fighting the mob... precursor for usual knee-jerk response: The words "massive," "multiplayer," and "online" in no way justifies that crap. FuryNL
I'm so shocked that many actually want this game to be a singleplayer game or call it a non-mmorpg etc etc. EVERY single damn person who's seen a vid of this game in the past 4 years knew it would be World of Star Wars with voice-acting. That's exactly what it is, and it's awesome, and now people are whining? What the f*ck...
Dire-Wolf
Having a single player rpg with online elements would be awesome. ME3 is doing something like that and there's apparently talk of also doing something like that for Dragon Age. I'm having a lot of fun in TOR though and I'm glad it's an mmo. It could use a few more interesting quest mechanics like what you see in single player rpgs but I'm sure BioWare will add that in time.
