This game has so much potential!

I love this game, please do not misunderstand this

My biggest issue with the game is bugs.

EA should not have said sure release it. Bioware(i hope) knew the game wasn't ready. Beta should have shown them that.

It is amazing that a lot of people get upset when you say that.

I hate when people say, "but it had a smooth launch"

Ok? but they game is filled with bugs, crashes, and memory leaks....why does that seem to get over looked by almost everyone that is playing this game!

I feel like I am taking crazy pills at times :(

Maybe I am not explaining it correctly.

I just feel that everyone is over looking the major issues in this game because it had a "smooth" launch. Maybe it is just my server and they are all morons.

Everyone time someone brings up a bug or anything wrong with the game they get text ***** by fanboys of bioware. That is the only reason people can give me....but the game had a smooth launch. Id like better reasons to why I should keep my mouth shut about all the bugs and issues in this game.

Launch is over with....not lets start addressing issues and stop acting like this can cure cancer or something because that is what I feel like 90% of this community is acting like.

I am alone on this?

Except these "issues" have already been posted about a million times in the past week. They probably know about most of the issues plaguing people atm.

If you have a new issue that this forum has not talked to death about yet, then go ahead and post it.

My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

Ignore these ... other people. I know exactly what you mean and the phrase taking crazy pills couldn't be more accurate when referring to other peoples responses in this thread... meta as ****.

Being serious for a moment,(even though it pains me greatly) I believe i have a general gist of what your trying to address in regards to folks using the scapegoat of a smooth launch to distract naysayers for bringing certain issues to light. However simply from looking at the forums, it's pretty clear to see that many issues are being discussed in a positive critical light. Unfortunately, alot of general hate gets tossed into the forum and that can often outweigh important issues that need to be discussed. I would say the greatest strength going for SWTOR is time is on its side and their is always room for patching.

If you encounter a bug, type: /bug and report it.

They aren't going to know about bugs that no one tells them about.

Also, realize that not one piece of software is without bugs. Even a decade later, Windows XP is still loaded with bugs.

In addition, many bugs will not be found until the software is deployed into 'the wild'. Bugs that will take hundreds of thousands of users to pop up and cause issues.

Coding is not an exact science, especially for projects like MMORPGs, which have billions of lines of code. Change one little entry in a single line, and you can break hundreds or more lines of code elsewhere.

Why is it taking this long to fix? The game's official release was 20 December. FIVE DAYS before Christmas. The Devs and code monkeys have families, too.

Not to mention, TODAY is a holiday (1 January 2012). The end of December is a rough time for many when it comes to tech support.

Things will get fixed, in time. This is actually normal for MMOs and even single player games (*cough*Skyrim).

Games have bugs. Developers fix the bugs when they can. If they don't fix a certain bug ASAP, they have a reason for it. Whining like a child that didn't get his ice cream doesn't help.

I don't understand the issue with bugs. Unless it's a bug that is actively preventing you from playing, what's the issue? Are you telling me OP that you've encountered bugs that cause you to be COMPLETELY UNABLE to play the game? Because if not, report it and move on. If a bug that is not truly gamebreaking, you are just looking for excuses to complain. If it is, again report it and then you can say something on the forums.

I will agree with you. I think I just have had enough of it finally and needed to just let it out. Because logic on the internet always seems to come off as trolling....which is sad because that just means that people can not hold a intelligent conversation.

The community of SWTOR has been the best ive seen a long time but it is starting to head back into that "WoWish" mode...and that scares me.

I got stuck in a pot once...I felt like you needed to know this.

MMO always have bugs. they could have delayed the launch six months and there will still be bugs left over. even if they know every single bug that does not mean they know how to recreate it, track it down or what's causing the bug.

at some point you just have to bite the bullet and release it.

I haven't crashed once, the only problem I have is the ability delay and I have seen EXTREMELY few bugs at all and none of them have been game-changing. The only bugs I have seen are some minor stuff during cutscenes like; robe flying all over the place for a second, characters not facing towards the correct person, black eyes etc. Nothing that interferes with the gameplay at all. Two of the top 4 bugs on my list of bugs I wanted fixed are fixed on the test server patch notes. It's not that bad IMO. None of the bugs I've had are major ones, just little annoying things. They're fixing them though, just wait a little while.

See its statements like "Never seen an MMO released before," comes to mind." that just are uncalled for.

If you want to play this game I can.

AIONS release was pretty bug free so was Rifts, Guild Wars.

Stop thinking well WoW has bugs on release so its ok.....NO! WoW is almost 10 years old and was the first MAJOR MMO.

Just because wow did it doesn't mean its ok for others to do it. If you want that logic then you might as well just copy WoW code for code and just slap different models and call it a different MMO each release.

I 100% agree with you but I personally feel that the game needed more time because of the scale of it.

No, they weren't bug free. There has never been a single piece of software written in anything more complicated than Basic that was released bug free.

Ever.

Yet WoW being in year 8 of it's life is STILL riddled with bugs? Some of which have existed since the game's release? *cough* Vanish *cough*
