All people got are smart responses and tell you to "deal with it". How about you stop for a second and be like "oh well ok I'll team up and we can smash those turds" instead of just being a *** about it. Next time I see your sorry *** get ganked I think I'll just move along and ignore it then cause I suppose saving you isn't worth it anymore. I'm really trying to keep a upbeat outlook on other human beings but time and time again you all keep on just pissing on that idea like its going out of style. I would group up with you just to get some PvP out of it. Don't expect it from most of these carebears though, you'll interrupt their romance cutscene. Its sort of an unwritten rule where if you don't bother me I won't bother you but the second someone jumps me everyone in that area becomes kill on sight as punishment for that person breaking that rule. I do come to the aid to any pvp fight I see and 9 times out of 10 if I'm 1v1ing someone is cause they started it and then they get someone to their aid especially since I can usually easily beat people in 1 on 1 fights I just have no luck and there is always someone else in the immediate area. I just hate it if you even ask for a little help to deal with odds that are against you people only have "smart" comments or they respond with that "you mad bro?". Its comments like this that upset me cause you obviously don't understand that hey. PvP just happened and I want to get these guys back but I can't 1v2 them and just letting them have the win feels dirty especially when I know I was smashing them in the face until their buddy came to the rescue. He is complaining about the lack of a faction based response. In SWG we fought large battles over smaller issues, in this game, it seems like everyone on a pvp server is more interested in kissing their companion. Dude, honestly, this is how the Internet is. It's not just WoW, it's not just SWTOR, it's the Internet as a whole. I've been cussed out in Charity organization chat rooms, school board message boards, etc. It's everywhere. You have to understand that the ability of people to be anonymous, without any reprecussions, has turned people into immature idiots. I've helped out people who don't even say thank you 99% of the time. These same people would never act like that in real life, because they would get beat up. I mean, just look around these forums, the majority of the time when somebody makes a post, nearly all of the replies are negative and attacking. Very few people on these forums actually help you, they just want to make fun of you. I don't like it either, but this is the new, classless, no manners world we live in. Get used to it. Sorry. Today I was getting camped hardcore by the Republic, they were lvl 45-50's on Hoth. Immediately we knew that they sucked at pvp going after low levels so I mentioned it in g chat and before you knew it there was 7 Emperials at my side and they wasted them, then camped them. Before you ever pick a server, always check out g chat, pvp chat etc. I went through 10 servers and 10 characters before I picked my server and stuck with it. Hm... you said you were pretty angry about it. Understandable. But: Consider how you did mention the ganking in the general channel. If you did complain and "whine" a lot - then i can understand that you got appropriate responses. Most people do not like complainers and whiners. Maybe that was it? If you had asked in a more appropriate manner you would have gotten different responses? Dont get me wrong - Im just guessing here and try to help understand the situation. Granted I never actually gank someone unless theyve tried to gank me first, even then Im usually the one dancing on a corpse. I presume you rolled on an open PvP server. & your complaining? Why? They have no sense of community and no faction comradery. It's a sorry state for the modern MMO. I blame WoW for growing and propagating this sort of MMO quasi-community in the genre. The people reading general see you complaining about getting ganked and think you're crying about the actual act of getting ganked. You, of course, aren't looking for sympathy, you're looking for revenge, but they just kind of brush you off as yet another whiner. Maybe if you take a different tone with your comment (something more like, "alright, I'm tired of these gankers, who wants to group up and clear them out of here") you'll get a more positive response? FourTwent Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 imps are camping out on tatooine on my server doing the same thing if you dont like it go to a pve server. i've been ganked many of times. yes its sad when its 5 on 1 and yes its sad when they're lvl 50 and im lvl 30. but you deal with it, it makes the game more fun the only other MMO i've played didn't have pvp in the 'game world', but I will say im curious to see whats stopping a faction from camping in front of a city, preventing lowbies from going out and leveling up. the only thing i can think of is, if that did happen, the faction can go to their fleet and ask for help. i imagine you'd get more help from ppl who are bored sitting on the fleet, than from people already on the planet, doing their quests and not having any issues at all Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've been ganked 3 times now and came to the rescue for 2 people since I was traveling by and saw some pvp action going on. I don't "come to the rescue" when I already see its a 2 on 1 or the fellow faction member initiated it. If you lose initiating the attack its your own damn fault I'm not going to carry you through it. 9 times out of 10 when world pvp happens you get overwhelming odds in your favor or its in their favor. But there are times you get that time where you end up in like a 3 on 1 and you kill all 3 of those players. So much fun when that happens but its ridiculously hard, requires gear, and its best you be the one to initiate the attack instead of them. I think there's 2 sides to the issue. "PVP" servers is usually lowbies beeing "ganked" by higher leveled charaters/players. It just lies in thier "nature" to go on those much weaker. This game, despite it's sop to PVP, is designed for those who don't want either community or faction comrades. It's a single player game made up of single player game people. I don't PvP well, I swear I cue up an enter a warzone and people roll their eyes when I show up in their group op. This is why I rolled PvE. I've often wondered why people want PvP so hard, so I asked them and they tell me that they jones for it, they talk about challenge, they talk about thrill they talk about edge of their seat gaming. Yet they never talk of getting revenge because some random nubie is getting tea bagged by a level 50, never. Sure you hear about those times you called out to your guildies and camped that poor sucker for hours and loled about it, you talk about this one guy who followed you through three zones and your epic rivalry to level cap, you never say "Well it was so cool this one guy was crying in general so we all rallied and pushed the people out of the zone." It has always from what I heard been about supporting your buds or being the killer loling as his buddies vented about the other sides chat. This is what I see in what makes PvP so awesome. It is so often lost that there is always the losing side until one finds themselves on it. So may I offer the advice that was given to me in a Pro PvP thread?
