Aoussar
Hey guys! So, to me, the world in swtor feels rather bland compared to another mmo i've played. Yes, its WoW, but this isn't another whine thread, or a swtor vs. wow thread, here, i'd like people to give their ideas to what they think could make the world feel more alive. For me, these few steps would help make the world feel so much more alive to me: 1. Day/Night cycle. Yes, I know they want us to feel a specific way, but actually having the clock turn and the day switching to night makes the experience better, at least for me it does, since you feel like the world moves and isn't set in a specific scene - so to speak. 2. Characters in the world speaking to one another. All the npc's I mean, it would be kinda cool having them speak or just do something instead of just standing there... 3. Making an actual social hub. I can only speak for my past WoW experience, but I figured it would do anyways.. So, in WoW, you have the bank, the Auction House and the mail box a few meters from each other, and all in the same district. This makes for an actual community being closer together, since you can see a lot more people and interact with them much easier. In Coruscant for instance, things are very far from one another, and you have a lot of running back and forth. Be in mind this is my opinion and not actual fact, I just wanted to share some ideas with you and would very much like to hear yours! So dear forumers, fire away! - Also, please excuse my english, i'm not very good at it EDIT I: No, I don't want this to be WoW, that's why I play both. I just feel like the world in swtor could be better, and speak from my only mmo experience, which happen to be WoW Edited January 1, 2012 by Aoussar

knightblaster
The fleet is becoming more hub-like recently. A week or so ago it was mostly empty and now there are a lot of players there around the bank and market areas.
Restepor
Day and nights would be nice. Maybe making your home city, Dromund Kaas and Coursaunt something people would go to all the time would be nice.

Jeweledleah
I don't know about republic side, for sure, my characters there are pretty low level, but... I've been running into background conversations on empire side constantly.. the most recent one was on Nar Shaddaa where one guy was telling the other that that place was empire hidout, masquerading as independents. there were few others I heard at least one on every planet, often more then one. so characters don't just stand there. some pace, some are animated as if they are talking, some LITERALLY talk, complete with voice overs. would I want more of that? hell yeah. but its not nonexistent either its already in game
Yaluk
There some conversations i think , or maybe that was some companion chit chatting. The only problem i have with the game is that it feels like i can only follow the intended path no exploration or time really put into the environment.
