It only augments abilities that already exist, its dot only ticks for 6 seconds (less than half duration of our other bleed), and 50% armor penetration for 15 seconds? Don't make me laugh. What a worthless buff. Does nothing against people in light armor. It does nothing to improve my damage or burst capability at all. It does not completely make the scrapper spec'd scoundrel into a powerhouse with heals, mobility, and CC. So, just for the future, there IS NO REASON FLECHETTE ROUND OR SCRAPPER NUMBERS SHOULD BE NERFED IN ANY WAY, as it is ALL UNDERPOWERED AND IS WORTHLESS AS A 31 POINT SKILL. Any crying or complaining about the Scoundrel class will be a complete waste of typing and time as BioWare will NEVER have ANY reason to nerf this ability or the skill tree in general. Decoy Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) My biggest complaint about it is the fact that its a buff to situational skills, yet it has to be activated every time we want to use it. It seems like Bioware tried to keep in line with the other trees 31pt talents being an "activated" skills, and decided that our situational buff needed to an activated one as well. Honestly, if it was just melded into SF and BB rather than the pain of having to trigger it every time, I'd be ok with it. Thank you for your time. Flechette Round is by no means worthless or useless. Quite the opposite, in my experience. That said, it's not overpowered by any means. Flechette Round; don't change a thing. Family Guy references aside, I can almost smell the imminent QQ when all the scoundrels hit 40+ and start doing Warzones... I really REALLY don't want the ability to be nerfed, but being able to apply it to every Back Blast and Shoot First... it's pretty insanely good. Unfortunately not only can it be considered overpowered, but it is THE reason a Scrapper Scoundrel is viable in a Warzone. I'm betting that it won't be much different in PVE either. Mhak Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) I find it funny that I pointed out that OP was clearly jerking people's chains, Bioware removed that post because they thought I was offending OP, then OP posts and confirms that she's jerking people's chains. I found it funny the whole time, and found it even more funny that some people didn't get it. Too bad Bioware clearly thinks joking around here should be outlawed. On topic as a 50 Pyrotech PT, Scoundrels are the only class who can for sure, 100% of the time, beat me in a 1v1 fight if they get the jump on me (largely do to this ability). That's not saying I don't lose 1v1 fights with other classes, but Scrapper Scoundrels are the only sure bets at winning those fights. I've squared off against equally geared lvl 50 Shadows who got the jump on me and still won, but not Scrappers. Clearly what they teach you guys at Smuggling school is pretty damn impressive. Thank you for your time. Flechette Round is amazing and I love it. It gives you 50% armor pen for 15 seconds. Its the best skill for damage that Scoundrel has.
