LGBT Players - Check in here!

I swing both ways :D

currently playing a Male Sith Marauder on Perlemian Trading Route, a pretty quiet server, not much traffic... But since I'm mostly solo, so doesn't matter. I also have an higher level IA on the same server. If anyone on that server, you can find me on Tatoonine.

Just want to speak up~ Can't believe a simple check in thread become a huge argument. Why different age group people checking in, and no one seems to have a problem with that. No one would come into that thread and say "I can't care! why are you make it a big deal?! So you're over 30, why if I start a thread saying 25 and younger I'd be in so much trouble"...

ridiculous!

Hi! Until they include S/S romance -I'm running female PC's to oogle and flirt at my fav hunky male companions!

TIll the day arrives, my poor gay brothers; the ever closeted Smuggler and celibate Trooper will have to stay largely unnoticed :(

My characters are running on /Shien/ & /Vrook Lamar/.

Anyone know any good LGBT (& friendly) Guilds on Vrook Lamar Republic Side with a dash of RP on the side?

Hey everyone this Zac, I'm an Officer of The Prismatic Order, and one of the chapter leads for SWTOR. It's great to see a thread to check in to. Probably seen me in warzones a lot on JJT, but I'm getting burnt out on that grind.

Yes, we're primarily a Rep guild, but our Empire alt guild is named The Prismatic Disorder.

We are a social guild though, we totally encourage anyone who's interested to hang in mumble with us. Our primary goal is to have a fun, relaxing place to hang out.

As a straight person, I'm very happy to see your thread moving along- I remember all the drama before release, some barely veiled cynicism on the part of a few podcasts that will remain unnamed, and the general animosity towards this topic at all, and (unsurprisingly) continued defamation of your community. Although I'm sorry to see it happen in an otherwise great community, you all have my support for the story and romance arc changes that you're hoping for. They have been present in other games and have affected my own appreciation and enjoyment of the games not at all. Just like in real life, if you have someone come on to you that you would rather not, politely decline- these games have all done that gracefully and without any kind of offending design to either group. I have several friends (and even a supervisor) who are gay, and they often describe their persistent struggles with reconciling their sexual identity with the world around them. If you all can get what you're hoping for here, it's one more step in the right direction- and if the people who can't live with it ragequit- more room for the rest of us tolerants! Wishing you all the best, see you in game.

just stopping by to let everyone know that <Months Behind> on imp side Daragon Trail raid/pvp is always recruiting quality players and open to alternative lifestyles.

our core group of players is mostly people who work behind the bar in food&bev, or in hollywood entertainment, so "it takes all kinds" is not news to us.

if you're looking for an environment where you can be comfortable being your bad self, whether you're kinky, queer, or just too damn fabulous, hop on the Trail and whisper one of our members about filling out a guild app. We especially love to recruit food&bev professionals for networking.

Grrrr.... I really want to create a few alts to play in the community... but now I'm torn between doing the "unofficial GLBT server" which seems to be The Jekk'Jekk Tar, or finding another large GLBT guild to bunk around with...

Thoughts to help a wayward alt-aholic recently single gay guy with too much time on his hands?

Aye, sort of on the same boat with The Progenitor - 41 levels up, still no guild RP wise. Ah well, foreveralone.jpg :p

Hi there,

Kib from Peragus Mining Something-or-other here :)

I see that the Jekk-Jekk-Tar server (which seems to be the place to be) is on the US servers.. I'm guessing that, with me being able to see them (I'm based in the UK) that I could make an alt on here to hang with a few LGBT people... however I'm worried about the time differences.

Any EU LGBT guilds around?

Is it naive of me to say that it never crossed my mind to advertise my guild as GTBL-friendly (I can rearrange the letters too!) ? It must also be naive of me to say that I am shocked as hell that in *2012* in a nearly world-wide MMO with people that I would suspect are mostly young adults it is still necessary to say that my guild is TLGB friendly.

In my life I have known and been friends with people of all shapes, sizes, colors, affiliations, orientations, you-name-it and it still has yet to enter my mind whether i should be tolerant of the way that person differs from me. I guess I was raised to judge a person on the content of their character, if and when judgement was even necessary. I will love you just for being friends with me!

That being said, I guess i've been more concerned with levelling my alts, getting better gear, finishing a hm fp in one piece, etc. than whether the people I am playing with differ from me in any way in RL. Besides that, I'm on Sedyn Kyne -- a ridiculously low-pop server -- and I will gladly take anyone that wants to join my guild (and the question of RL personal traits will never come up, but all of my guildmates and i love hearing about people's RL's). My main has been lvl 50 for *7 weeks* and I just finished my *first* hm fp last night!

My guild is called Arcane Consanguinity -- thought of the name myself :) -- and we are on Sedyn Kyne. ;)

It happens shamefully - even with the new focusing on LGBT groups (e.g. Mass Effect 3), people still are in their prejudging attitudes. Mind you, I would suspect the majority of guilds are LGBT friendly, but they just do not advertise guilds as such because it should be a norm.

Only we, the players, can make sure that happens.

Just posting to say I'm still here - finally managed to find a guild I feel I can settle into quite well. Admittedly it's not designated as LGBT-friendly, but the folks inside it are quite alright.

If anyone cares to join, it is named 'Amethyst Shard' on The Progentior (EU-RP)

Hiya! My BF and I are gay and on the Jekk Jekk Tar (or however it's spelled) server, in the Knights of Stonewall guild.

We like having a guild that we know won't freak out to learn that we're two guys in love (for the last 13 years, thankyouverymuch), who also enjoy online gaming. We like being able to chat with others who have similar real-life experiences as us, and also enjoy gaming. We like seeing the creative characters and names that other gay players come up with. We like hanging out with people who get our jokes. Basically, being gay and being involved in the gay community in-game gives a whole other dimension to the game for us.

People who have never had the "minority experience" may not be able to understand why this is important to us. But I hope they can respect that, just because they don't understand it, that doesn't mean it's not important.

I am Q! (The one letter missing from your acronym)

And in a guild that doesn't care. it's fine. It's a quiet guild, but it's awesome.

While it would be neat to find a more active LGBTQ type guild, I have no problem playing with anyone who isn't an ***.

Hey everyone!

I got your "lettuce" and "tomato" right here! Love this thread. Good to know others have their queer on.

If you're looking for a Friendly guild on Canderous Ordo, swing by Bound and submit an application. In all honesty there aren't many of us (queer or straight), but it's a cool guild and the players are a lot of fun. There are both Republic and Imperial sides of Bound, and the core group come from a very well established Warcraft guild.
