Ciewin
like I said ive yet to see a intell SSD burn up,I have seen some crucials burnt. Intel, Crucial, OCZ... Doesn't matter, as long as it is not defective out of the box there all decent drives and going to out live your traditional crappy moving parts wear and tear break down manufacturer specified 3 to 5 year life span hard drives.... SSD the future is here!!!! Down with Platters!!!!!!!
DarthNisch
You fail at computer diagnosis. Next thing you're going to say is that you got a computer virus that scratches your hard drive....... Your game crashed because your SSD sucked. Not the other way around. AERHAE
Refer to my boyfriend. He said he would buy crucial over Intel. LOL,Everybody has there prefrence I guess, but buoilding pc's is part of my job.Im just going off of experience.

_Zefire_
Not all SSD drives are the same, for the most part most of them are cheap and will burn up quick.TYou have to buy intel or something made through them to get quality.Ive seen alot of this with SSD drives, people buy the cheap ones to get the speed but in most cases the cheap ones do not last under stress. I have yet to see a intel SSD drive Burn up. My ssd is ocz vertex 2 series 180 gb i have it 4 months now and i didn't have any problem with other games nor crashings. After i played swtor crashes began to happen and on the fifth one my ssd dies.Thats how a game ruins your hardware. Corsair uses sandforce as well and I have yet to see any of them come through my work place for repair. But your getting us off topic here... The point is each and everyone of us will have technologies we support or despise based on each of our own personal experience but it still doesn't change the fact that your hardware will not be destroyed by TOR. Derian
Thanks again bioware.Yesterday i had 4 crashes while i was playing.Today while i pressed quit the game crashed again i saw a blue screen and my ssd died.I sent it back to the store. So this is the game u were creating so many f years. My ssd died because of the continuous crashes of your game. I never had a problem with crashes in any game since i bought the ssd and now with your brilliant crashing game we can burn everything we like. Thanks again I want my money back "Crashes" as you define them have nothing to do with actually harming your computer. It's just the program closing for some type of error. If your game was crashing, to tell you the truth it's because your HD was failing anyway. Kourage
I have never crashed! Your computer has problems. It's your fault, not BioWare.

DesleDarksyde
My ssd died because of the continuous crashes of your game. Prove it... Since the reverse is more likely true... The game crashed often because your SSD was in the process of dieing... My SSD works fine, and my game doesn't crash, ever. Buy a Plextor, or an Intel drive. Ciewin
The Old Republic killed my chair.... The padding was way more comfortable until this game made it all flat and crappy.... My case has more merit then yours! Give me a settlement check Bioware or Ill see you in court!

There's really no reason to buy anything sandforce-based anymore, they're just not very good. I detest OCZ, every product I've bought from them have failed within a year, SSD and RAM sticks, never gonna touch anything by them ever again. To the OP; Your SSD failure is a hardware issue not a software one... Edited December 31, 2011 by milmo
LordTie
Sorry OP no game causes your PC to get the blue screen of death. Something wrong with your processor no matter how good of a pc you say you have. Fix that and your problem probably will be solved with the crashing and the blue screen. But i am sure you will flame me and BW for suggesting such a thing.

tjloll
If you take the SSD out and get 2 really powerful magnets you can repair it. Simply put one magnet on the bottom (the side with the writing) and on the other side rub the second magnet in a slow clockwise movement.

But i am sure you will flame me and BW for suggesting such a thing. Thats not accurate... A game can corrupt your OS which in fact can cause a blue screen. BSOD isn't always hardware sometimes its just a damaged OS... Typically it can happen if you where in the middle of a patch and then your Internet crapped out... program hangs mid install and leaves invalid registry entries or that sort of thing (to many examples to list). But in the OP's case it seems to just be a defective SSD... You did try and restore your OS I hope OP. Maybe the drive just needs to be erased and the OS restored. LaurentiusX
Haven't had a single crash either, had a little lag with 2gb, fixed it with 4gb RAM so it aint the game, it's your louzy computer, all you do is blame bioware for you own shortcommings, then call people on the forums stupid, it's pathetic, your comp is medieval and your mindset is that of a 2year old child.
