LordPorkins
Hi. I am thinking of starting a Jedi knight guardian specced for dps. I love pvp but I don't want to play the current overpowered class. One of my colleagues who plays this game encouraged me to play this class saying that they wipe the floor with everyone. If that's true I will choose something else. What are the Jedi knights like?
Kabaal
No, they're not. They can spec for some nice AoE crit damage but they end up being a squishy one trick pony that way. If all you care about is the total damage dealt on the scoreboard then they could be considered OP, otherwise no.

Especially considering the fact that most of the warzones are filled to the brim with ranged classes, making melee's life very hard.
Thelongroad
Lol. Playing a low level Guardian with no healer is as fun as wisdom teeth removal or a root canal
Saprezzan
It gets even better when you're fighting 6 inquisitors and 2 bounty hunters (e.g. quite often) Edited December 31, 2011 by Saprezzan
LordPorkins
Oh dear. Maybe my friend wasnt being completely honest. But the video released by bioware with their designers commenting on the classes suggested that the Jedi knight was more than a match for the bounty hunter. They called him relentless. What are the Jedi knights like? this other kids are lying to you. you wipe the floor with people but not by 1 shotting everything you touch. you wipe the floor with people by being a 100% ******e in WZs. You are ment to AoE, AoE damage with force sweep and AoE commendation farm with Challenging Call. You can easily turn the tide of a fight with Call, Guard, Taunt, and Sweeps insane damage(when speced properly). You'll never get any thanks for any of this though. People will say omg amazing heals but never a hey thanks for the taunt & guard so dont expect that. Just rack up commendations for gear

Charge into battle, stunned. trinket out, stunned/slowed again.
Lokai
A guardian dps is a waste of space if you ask me, now spec as and play as a tank and you can turn tide of battle and good teams will quickly realize this and support you. As a healer if i have no protection i'm as good as dead but a good pvp tank, using guard on me and snaring, ccing, and taunting enemies can keep me alive for quite a long time People sourly underestimate pvp tanks...which is sad really. True. Or they call us overpowered because they don't understand that we are both suppose to control the battle and stop people in their tracks (either by being the target or by literally stopping them).
