Dueling Area

Since our "capital cities" are the flying fleet we can not go outside of them and duel. Unlesss of course we fly to another planet but this takes time and I would rather be close to the fleet general and trade chat. It would be cool if there was another floor in the fleet where dueling would be allowed. Like a big plain round arena with no obstacles like benches etc. It could be called some training center.

Or allow a seperate room on the fleet with benches and NPCs selling Stims and the like. Allow only two people into a ring in the middle, and close it off with a fence or shield wall.

 

Winner gets boasting rights, and maybe a reward of some kind (gear, weapons, social items, whatever).

 

Of course, winning against the same player would come with decreased rewards, so people could not farm each other. They could also add titles.

 

 

Of course, this might also be too much like some kind of kickboxing arena. Could allow tournies or something with this. Or 2v2 fights. Maybe an 'on-the-side' arena, that pleases those that like arenas with little coding past the first few things (exclude gear, vendors, etc).

 

 

 

Maybe I'm thinking too much into this. And maybe I like the Enter button... Who knows?

That's a horrible idea and would get abused. Should just have duelling areas where people can duel, nothing else.

Or an arena. Not in the wow sense of the word, but an actual arena. Make it instanced even for 1v1, 2v2, what have you. Maybe make this on a guild ship when they add that. Just throwing ideas out there.

And I always wanted an option like a duel to the death. Player who lose dies. + maybe some bets

Well, the wow style arena system was ok. The biggest problem I had with it is they made the gear rewards better than any other PvP event reward.

What's wring with that? If you're good then you can get the best rewards. World pvp and bgs don't measure skill like arenas do.

LOL how did it ruin it for you? You can choose not to participate. Is it the fact that you got a reseat that tells you that you're bad? That they finally came with a PvP ranking system where you could really see who was the best?

Not really. The difference was teams premade and going against another prenade team in a given enviromant. You can do that in any of the current pvp venues in tor.
