Pcslayde
Allright, so I have been playing since public launch, haven't had TOO many issues. THe ones I have had are stated below so you can adress them here as well as via the bug reports I have sent. Galaxy Map Won't allow transport when in a group at times.Game randomly exits to desktop upon loading of a planet.Main Assets is continuously re-downloading/installing.PVP and Flashpoints are very laggy when nothing else is.Some quests do not give markers. (Usually companion related quests) Here are some thoughts about the game that may make it a bit more balanced. PVP: Right now pvp is open, there are no brackets, instead just a buff granted to lower levels. This may be a way of compensating, but it is still no match for those with much better gear who continue t feast on the less geared because they can wipe out an entire team by themselves. PVP needs brackets, and needs to be cross realm to support a lower wait time for qeues. PVP Items: I've noticed that the items for PVP are pretty easy to get, this should not be so, should be something you have to work a little more on rather than rampaging through a group of lower levels to farm your commendations for gear. Tradeskills: Its seems the crafting skills are somewhat self reliant, save for artifice. Artifice creates mod parts, which does not include the ACTUAL mod....why? Cost vs. Need: With constant high cost of repairing, as well as very very high cost of skill training, unless you own the auctionhouse, you stay poor through the storyline. I have a page full of skills unlearned, because my ONE charge skill, cost me almost 13k to learn. A little high for most peoples liking. Other than that, I have found the game quite enjoyable thus far.
Ankido
I will have to agree with Ten Ton Hammer. BioWare is at the top of it's game when it comes to story, which is perhaps SWTOR's greatest strength. Companions and their associated assortment of crew skills greatly enhance the overall gameplay experience. No more having to ask for help from friends, guildmates and strangers in general chat. The decision to go all in with fully voiced player characters and NPCs has paid off in a big way. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones that did it. Remember Conan? However, as amazingly written as the class stories are, each faction only offers one unique path through content up to the endgame. The advanced class selection system does a pretty poor job of offering enough information to players about a (currently) irreversible decision, where the only recourse is to start over again on a new character if you're unhappy with your first pick. In Conclusion, the game is not as fun as most of us expected. There are already complaints about end game raiding. I'm not sure why raids are open at this time, we're still in week 2. The profession system is far too easy with companions and doesn't feel as though "YOU" are actually doing the professions. There are far too many quests with Heroics, Bonus, Standard and Class. At least color code them to help with confusion. Overall, the game is solid and has potential to be one of the best. My Review 75/100 Gameplay - Clunky and poor engine85/100 Graphics - Looks good but not great. Sometimes simple is better75/100 Sound - Where is the Star Wars music? Only hear sabers and blaster sounds.70/100 Multiplayer - Who needs them when you have companions?70/100 Value - Get's boring at times especially when you're traveling a lot80/100 Lasting Appeal - Been there and done that. I think it was in 2004.76/100 Overall - I was looking for a WoW replacement and found the same title of 2004 with a Star Wars theme. You would think BioWare learned ideas from Blizzard. Daawg
So far I have been impressed and disappointed. In 28 levels I have killed 1 trillion sentinent beings to advance. There should be quests in which a person can gain experience by NOT KILLING STUFF. All MMO's tend to regress to one basic ingredient..........MASS MURDER. My level 28 bounty hunter feels more like RAMBO then a bounty hunter trying to find its prey and take it dead or alive.. So for that I have to say that if this game is going to ultimately fall back on mass murder for its appeal then its going to lose a lot of players in the coming months because their are a lot of Mass murder MMO's out there that are free to play.
