when the sniper/gunslinger doesn't even have to "run" when a enemy has gotten ontop of them..something is wrong, they just spam legshot and snipe and gg.

 

now with the operative class.....BW i ask you how the **** is this **** even.....operative cloaked then opens with 5-7k then instant 3-3.5k followed by 2k which leaves you dead in less than 5secs......

 

on a side note, good job idiots for have epic pvp gear for 50s then not give them their own bracket....love facing players which does not matter on how much skill you have, you can not take down 1v1. you have killed pvp motivation for people less than 50.

OK, i just have to reply to this. ( Yes, i play a scoundrel )

 

1. Remember that a scoundrel/op cant do **** after his initial burst. It is a class that is meant to go behind enemy lines and then quickly gank a healer or another ranged squishy. His starting dmg is supposed to be high. After he opens up on you and done his burst, he is DONE. Because his atacks out of stealth are just meh.. This class is meant to be good in 1v1s because its the ONLY thing it can do.

 

2. Stop QQing about scoundrels/ops going back in stealth mid-combat. Just throw a freaking dot on them, which will kick them out of stealth after 1 sec = Bye Bye scoundrel after that. Scoundrel atacks outside of stealth are way to weak to kill anything at 75% + health if we are talking about equal lvls. Besides his AoE sucks balls.

 

3. After the initial burst atack (Shoot First for scoundrel) the opponents resolve bar is FULL. So there is no stunlocking or whatsoever. So if he doesnt kill his opponent fast enough he needs to get outta there.

 

4. This games pvp is based around GROUP PVP - NOT SOLO. If u are NO stealth class and stray away from the safety of numbers like an idiot, then u WILL get picked off. And u should.

 

5.Every class has something that is OP. Wether it is Burst, CC, shields etc etc. Every class has something, and it is time for you people to stop QQing about it and realise this is a game in which every character has its role in the grp. This is not wow ffs. (yes, i had to say it).

 

6. L2P in a group and stop your pointless skirmishing and walking around for kills in huttbal.

You fake number people need to play a different game. You ruin mmo's. I got killed in like 3 seconds by an assass but I don't make an assass out of myself and whine like a 12 year old girl about it.

Scoundrel is like Mythic's Witch Hunter. All burst. Its still incredibly overpowered RELATIVE to, say, a Marauder.

 

They made the Scoundrel overpowered because otherwise NO ONE would play that class.

 

This makes me laugh, since i played WAR as well.

Again you people fail to see this is not a 1v1 game. Yes the witch hunter is alot like the Scoundrel and cant do anything but burst a target from stealth. That is their role in the grp. Kill the enemy healers and squishy as fast as you can. If this couldnt be done, healers and ranged would be op since there would be nothing countering them.

 

The marauder was a class with medium armor, compared the the witch elf, and his role was to pick his targets carfully as he didnt have any stealth, and debuff the **** out of them. They had lots of armor, health and defense debuffs.

 

See the picture? This games pvp will be at its best when balanced grps face each other. 1v1 is just to situational to balance a game around.

So lets nerf them so we can proceed to nerf Sorcs/Sages, Healing Classes again, Then Tanks, then marauders so on and so forth so this game can have 8 identical classes, and based solely around 1v1 combat instead of Group Combat. While we're at it lets make a Team Deathmatch mode, objectives and sticking together is overrated. I should be able to 1v1 anyone regardless of my skill, level and class.

My 50 geared commando has no problem killing 50 geared imp op's. They can't backstab while I autoturn spamming gravrounds. I out dps them everytime as long as my back isn't given to them.

 

Rock < Paper < Scissors my friend.

 

I used to think they were op as I would try to kite and kill them and I would die everytime. Then decided to just stand my ground and take their front damage. Spamming gravround keeps me facing them. Save my break free for when they do their stun. Use medpack after the knockdown. Aoe knockback, stockstrike knockback, they have nothing left as I just pump gravrounds into them.

 

Then they run away and stealth, and I pop my stealth scan on them.

 

Maybe not all classes can survive their stealth knockdown combo, but commando's can. And my healing sage friend has no problem surviving their initial burst. So there's at least a couple AC's that can deal with scrapper/Imp Op's.

 

If that's the case, they are not OP. Also not balanced on 1v1. If an imp op pops out and ganks a friend in a warzone, call it out in vent. Be prepared for it. Have peeler's and stuns ready.

Yup, you should see the fights I go into. I do my knockdown, they imediately use knockback and proceed to run instead of actually damaging me. By the end I use 15 abilities to their 3. Or my favorite, the ones that are like herp derp this guy is circle strafing me and I can hit him because I'm not facing him.

while I will not say whats OP or not because of my pvp experience being severely deminished by the warzone condition, and the fact pvp seems to be almost entirely based around lvl 50 full pvp itemized players, and everything else outside of that is not very well designed/planned.

still some points you made I wouldl ike to comment.

 

1- this is something that many people been saying, that is simply not true... even after that burst stealth opener they still have very large amount of options, they have a wide array of both damaging attacks that tho cant crit for 4k+ can still very much so do 2-3k dmg a piece coupled with powerfull CC options aswell as defencive cooldowns.

 

2- they can remove debuffs on them if they are speced in the scrapper tree before re-stealthing if I'm not mistaken.

 

3- it takes at least 3 CC's to fill a resolve bar... you can kill in less than 2...

 

6- theres not much to l2p about it... you either used your pvp ability to pop out of that initial knockdown from the 4k+ shoot first, or you will be locked down to death without a chance to do anything about it.

I love pvp in this game and top the charts on every character I have. Its not the class that is OP its the player.

 

I get called OP on my Jug "tank build", Sorc, BH, Sin, Sniper, and Marauder. The reason I get called OP on all of them is because I take advantage of what they are good at and exploit the weaknesses of the other classes.

 

If you cant do that then maybe PvP just isnt for you. Just sayin.

ok, to the people that keep saying all this class has is initial burst of damage then it has nothing, that is not the point. having the ability to single handedly drop someone from full health to dead in a matter of seconds is OP The amount of burst damage and the time span it takes for it to happen, is over the top, period. even more so its from stealth so preparing for it is impossible. it needs to be toned down. not Nerf hammered but toned down. please please please people see reason.

To your 1st point: Why do you let them use the other atacks? Either use your own cc to kite/knockback them and they have no possibility of coming back in your face if u know what your doing. Also, their first opener (shoot first) does indeed high damage, but YES, it DOES fill your resolve bar entirely, so theres no cc after that. If u cant beat a scoundrel outside of stealth, its your own fault.

 

To your 2nd point: yes, but still you could aoe the spot he vanished on. Also alot of scoundrels dont use that debuff remover in pvp cuz their first reflex is to get the hell out of there and use restealth.

 

To your 3rd point: Not valid, see my 1st point of this post.

 

To your 4th point: If a lower lvl scoundrel that doesnt have the Shoot First ability (the "op" one) backblasts you for 2,5k max then he can indeed stun, and after that flashbang you because he wont have to deal with a full resolve bar. but there will in no way be a stunlock. The 4 sec stun (nutkick) can be cc broke, and the flashbang breaks by taking dmg.

I meant to say l2p in the way of dont go solo but learn to play in your group and contribute your role.

in my opinion none of the classes are op they all have there strenghs and weaknesess and if you dont use these strenghs and weaknesess to your advantage then your not playing properly same thing in wow before the constant nerfs Edited by SirJonC

I would love for people to explain to me the abilities/talent that removes *all* negative effects.

 

Triage only removes Tech and Physical. Mind Effects like Sith dots damage it does not remove.

 

Dodge increases my chance to dodge by 100%, there is no talent for it in scrapper that I am aware of.

 

And Defensive Screen absorbs damage but still takes me out of of stealth even if it absorbs the damage.
