Naroga
Should Merciless Slash replace Slash in our rotation? Should I remove Slash from my keybinds? If not, what is a general rotation (or priority list) for the Watchmen spec once you have access to Merciless Slash. I'm having trouble working it into my rotation with its 9 second (and slightly diminishing) cooldown.
Calviny
Slash is still your excess focus dump, you may sometimes use it while merciless is on cooldown. In most cases, you probably won't be able to get merciless to it's 3 stack in PVP, in PVE, you can probably get it to work. It's usually RNG, I use slash to try and get cauterize to refresh when Merciless is on cooldown. Edited December 31, 2011 by Calviny
Naroga
I've messed around with it after making the post and I can work it into my priority system. However, adding Merciless Slash with its fluctuating cooldown guarantees that I have to keep my eyes glued to my action bars. There's no way I can maximize my DPS while even glancing at my character. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, but there are certainly a ton of cooldowns, resource mechanics, and procs for us to monitor as Sentinels. Still a fun class to play, but a bit needlessly complicated in my opinion.

That's the general consensus of most classes, and until Bioware adds a (much-needed) Macro system to the game, it's something we must bear with. I made due by binding Merciless Slash to [3], and binding Slash to [Alt + 3], so that way I can spam fire either without removing my fingers from the movement keys. I dont think so, practice enough and the class becomes auto, there is alot of fluidity to it all, can almost count in your head the cooldown timers *hint* and before you know it, it will be so repetitive that you can do it with your eyes closed, trust me
