Nephrahim
You can mod things without a mod station. Just crl right click them.
Amythiel
You don't need mod stations to mod, it was changed in the last beta patch.
Nephrahim
You don't need mod stations to mod, it was changed in the last beta patch. Well, that explains it. It's hillarous how they're still in despite serving no real use.

Catch_TwentyTwo
Mod stations, ***? why is thier next to 0 in the game, every time i need to mod somthing i have to travel to my starter area.... Or is the map broken and not showing them? There are loads, all over the place. You're not looking properly. You have to pick the legend on the LHS of the map to have them show up. Liania
Well, that explains it. It's hillarous how they're still in despite serving no real use. The use is for extracting mods you want to keep, so yes there is a use for them.
Jimer_Lins
Well, that explains it. It's hillarous how they're still in despite serving no real use. It's often harder to remove things than to simply disable them. I assume they'll go away someday or be retooled into a new game mechanic. But yeah, I was confused at first too. Kaphik
why does the game not tell people this? It does, if you mouse over an item and read the text it says ctrl+right click to modify.
Magichandz
also if you mouse over the item it says it right below the stats Ctrl + Right Click to modify.
Liania
why does the game not tell people this? I think one of the tutorial tips explains it. Not sure though.
Jimer_Lins
The use is for extracting mods you want to keep, so yes there is a use for them. Nah, you can remove mods without one.
Nephrahim
The use is for extracting mods you want to keep, so yes there is a use for them. Uh, I can do that without a mod-station too. I just drag the mod out.
Sivn
why does the game not tell people this? I do believe it says ctrl- right click to mod on the moddable item tooltip.
Magichandz
The use is for extracting mods you want to keep, so yes there is a use for them. you can extract the same way you add Ctrl + Right click. Just drag the item out of the slot and into your bag.
Durzaka
You don't need mod stations to mod, it was changed in the last beta patch. Actually it was changed 3-4 patches before the release, they just never removed the station.
Garb
thank you for clarifying this but i figured that mod'able items were only done so thu a station but this really should have been clarified at the begining cause i have trown away lots of armour thinking the were crap and on realising they can be modd'ed on the go... tormentuk
Well i do feel alittle stuiped, but i don't care! this thread has saved me hours in game! Is their a faster way to bring up my cargo hold?
Bob-ombaFett
Actually it was changed 3-4 patches before the release, they just never removed the station. The mod stations will end up like the mana looms in Shattrath City & Silvermoon City in WoW. They'll just add to the ambiance of the game, I suppose. Kaphik
Well i do feel alittle stuiped, but i don't care! this thread has saved me hours in game! Don't feel stupid about this! Want to know what makes one feel stupid? I clicked Reverse Engineer for a set of moddable pants when I was the ONLY person in the group in Hammer Station able to use them, because I didn't look close enough. The item had blue text in the tooltip, but it was orange in the chat when people rolled for it. Guess who won the roll and got a single lousy rubat crystal out of it...? JarenVestrit
Yeah, the mod stations are completely pointless now. They'll probably be removed soon.

CptRanger
Yeah, the mod stations are completely pointless now. They'll probably be removed soon. Or maybe if you use a modification station, the COST of changing mods is ALOT cheaper? I mean yeah they are worthless, just get rid of them. Then again it WAS mentioned in your starting area's when they give you the quest to use the terminal.
KMad
Or maybe if you use a modification station, the COST of changing mods is ALOT cheaper? Except that it's not. Try it and see.
