Rekar Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Make the solo version of these count towards getting the companion. Yall know how hard it is to get a group going for these if you're not in a guild.
SteveTheCynic Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I'm with @AFadedMemory on this. These missions ("destroy the star fortress") were never intended to be walks in the relevant park, but were definitely intended to be able to be completed solo(1). (1) Indeed, I have never completed them any way but solo.

The buff console at the beginning helps a little (dunno whether your alliance dude*ttes need to be 5 or 10 therefor). The temporary abilities (especially the turret), too.
wursta Posted November 29 Posted November 29 1. Get the buff terminal at start 2. Get as many caches as you can (requires level 10 of a specialist, 1 specialist = 1 cache so 4 level 10 specialists = all caches and they all need a specific one to open, and typically requires doing bonus missions or killing a paladin but not always) 3. When fighting the Zakuul knights and the Empheris batle area and also the Exarch at the Sun Generator Station, use heroic moment. Sleep on Zakuul knight if you can as well. 4. When fighting the exarch, put your back against the wall where the door opens after you kill the exarch. Just stand there and burn. While attacking, remember to interrupt Impaling Strikes for some, the force/sun bombs from the other, and the healing from another. 6 Exarchs and I forget which has each ability stronger (they all have Impaling Strikes but some hit WAY harder than others), but you'll figure out based on which one effects the outcome of the battle more. Ensure you're comp is a healer (high influence, back when these were released I ran them on my main with Lana, I think she had maybe 12 influence? I recommend WAY HIGHER as it is tough still at that point), use Unity, shields, etc. when you're in a tight spot, make sure to use both rounds of your heroic moments fully if you can (all 8 abilities can be used twice, three if you're efficient). Having stims (presence, mastery and endurance all have helped me in the past) and medpacs all can be game changers as well. I have never run a SF with anyone but myself and I have completed every H2 SF run solo by just sitting in that far end of the circle and burning down their hp as my comps heal and I do some *light* mechanics (listed above). I've certainly died, but I have never not won the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time (5's my limit for everything in SWTOR unless I've never run it before).
kanonseena Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Actually, I'd love to be able to unlock them in collections (or otherwise have them usable on new characters).

I said that all exarchs have a move that hits harder, some heal themselves. Interrupt this move for each. Its one or the other? What's wrong with what I said? You fight 1/6 exarchs at a time, each has a more powerful move. I forget which has which. So interrupt the hardest hitting move when youre fighting him? Its one of the ones I laid out that hit the hardest: Impaling Strikes, the sun/force bombs, or them healing themselves?

You said "another", and there are at least two who have a self-heal, so it's not "an" other. That's all I was saying.

Because one group of exarchs Impaling strikes are the hardest hitting moves, for other exarchs the force/stun bombs are the hardest hitting more, and for another group of exarchs healing themselves is what decides the battle. He'll fight only one exarch per SF and I do not recall which ones on which SF has which abilities. Are you interpreting what I am saying as he has to fight all 6 on 1 SF??

Inflicting comfort unlocks after (re-)uniting with him during KOTFE and talking to Hylo Visz, Sana-Rae and Bey'wan Aygo, if they have purple quest mark on their heads (they definitely have when skipping KOTFE, dunno how it is when doing KOTFE, it's been too long). It requires the following grade 8 mats and contrary to the number in brackets, the mission gives a total of 1150 influence with each of them because the weekly mission gives 650 influence each: Except for the slicing mats, the mats can be easily farmed on Yavin 4. https://fibrojedi.me.uk/swtor/c2-n2-inflicting-comfort/
