In your case, try to tell them to give the remaining Corso the sum of the influence points of both. The reasons for multiplying seem to be manifold. I had double-Vanilla comps, double Shae Vizla, double Tanno Vik (however that happened, but resolved itself somehow), double Elara Dorne (on non Trooper origin) etc. Some companions were also completely lost and unobtainable, e.g., Treek and also Shae Vizla. Tried everything, a ticket was needed to restore them. Being in one of chapters I-VII of KOTFE as part of your regular story and skipping to KOTET, Ossus or the like is, in my experience, more prone to cause bugs.
