Salt-Upon-Wounds
Are you kidding us or what? Last week in the news you urged to take advantage of the chance to buy your favorite weapons on sale. I bought a Bryar pistol for 700cc. AND today I see how you are selling the WHOLE BUNDLE FOR 290cc? This looks like some kind of mockery. In Steam, for example, such situations are a reason for a refund
Xyranis
I know. It's frustrating, especially if you bought the item just a few days ago. Early this summer I bought the covert stalker full price and it was 50% off in the big mount sales just 2 days after my purchase. Frustrating, but I can't honestly blame them for that. That's the way sales work.

That's nonsense.
Grendel_Echo
I agree it's a nonsense. Same as not giving a clear information directly in the Cartel Market window, about how long a current sale will last. I think yesterday I saw the weapons on sale, today I logged and see the sale is no more, when I planned some bigger purchases for today evening. Pity😕. That's nonsense. They should limit the biggest sales to 85% average (80-90%) not always 90%, as I've always thought 90% was too drastic. "They threw out the Baby with the Bath water..." 85% Blended (or 80-90% off) should be largest and extremely rare 1, 2, 3x a year, as many believe 50% - 75% off sale is extraordinary already! Present these offering discounts: 75% ¾, 66% ⅔, 50% ½, 33% ⅓, and 25% ¼... ...those 50% or greater should be rarer. But that's they're call... ...still I agree selling something one week at 50% off, and next day, or week you further reduce it to 90% isn't right. They should pause at least 2-4 weeks after something on sale, even if you change or add others! NOTE: See the update below to expand my thoughts, as they're top end discount should be a range of 80-90% following Feast (Black Friday) or Abundance. -- They could even have 2, 3, or 4 higher end sales (80% - 90%) on a few items, with some mixed in weekly sales after Seasonal Events. That's why I suspect that discounts are randomly placed, without live participation. That's why I won't trust their news about "last chances to buy something" anymore. We should be happy the sale is so drastic because it's our direct savings.

Can't see logic in that thinking. We should be happy the sale is so drastic because it's our direct savings. I get that, yet also it reduces revenue just as subscriptions do, I'd prefer more revenue generated for Story, Operations, or Flashpoints etc... Many others you're lucky to see 50% off sale once a year; Black Friday comes to mind; then typical sales are more likely 25%, 30%, 35% at best. Yet we have regular 50%, 60%, 70% or 75% sales, & 80-90% sales should follow 2 weeks (post feast) for Black Friday, or a seasonal event. Now Granted SWTOR in the past also received more revenue from Subscriptions, yet as we saw with sale to Broadsword those have fallen as well. So present these offering discounts: 75% ¾, 66% ⅔, 50% ½, 33% ⅓, and 25% ¼... ...those 50% or greater should be rarer. Ventures is one great idea to encourage Subscriber's & more like this is wise; another is Upgraded Login Rewards for Subscribers too! NOTE: On the last point, it just be something that upgrades basic Login rewards to a slightly higher calibre for subscriber's. -- They could even have 2, 3, or 4 higher end sales (80% - 90%) on a few items, with some mixed in weekly sales after Seasonal Events. I mean 75% off when it happens is amazing, and 50% is also extremely good, yet given Seasonal Events we now have 4 it's a good time to court sales! At least then we'd know when the biggest sales would be, even if we don't know what might be on sale, like we usually don't. ThanderSnB
I think the daily sale is random. The weekly sales are more manual except for big category sales. They probably have a system to put everything of a certain type on sale. Then someone is supposed to go over the items and make adjustments to prevent things like the same item being on sale for different prices on separate days. Like a lot of things, Broadsword doesn't have the time for this extra polish. Things slip through the cracks, like the Onderon Guardian Bundle is I think 80% off for the week, but then it randomly came on daily sale today for 50% off. That overwrote the weekly sale for that item today. Tomorrow it will go back to the better sale. That's something that should have been caught. Some unlucky players may get ripped off.
