Hey All,
This community must be getting it a lot, however I have been thinking and thinking between playing an MMORPG again. I love Star Wars, big fan since young. I have been trying to decide between going into WoW or SWTOR.

I can't really make my mind up, however I think I am going to give SWTOR a chance. I also saw that a new studio took over and I am not sure if this is positive or not, as I know BioWare and they do create great games.

So people let me know should I start playing SWTOR and if I do what tips and tricks would you give me to begin with?

It's free to play, so just download and see how it goes. Just know that the story is the best part for most players of this game. There are guilds and groups doing endgame stuff, but it's not the big thing to do in this game. Endgame content is also not supported that much. These days, they only add new flashpoints (dungeons) or operations (raids) once every two years or more. Even longer for PvP warzones (battlegrounds). I'm thinking over 5 years since they added a new warzone. If endgame is your big thing, you will probably get bored pretty quickly with SWTOR's endgame. On the other hand, if you like a fun, soloable story with optional group content when you feel like grouping, SWTOR might be a good fit.

What you have to bear in mind is that it's the same *people*.  When EA transfered the game to Broadsword, they also transfered something like half the previous team along with the game.

Appreciate the replies on this!
As I won't be able to play as much, I think seeing from what I am reading here SWTOR will be fine for me to play.

There probably won't be a rush for me to lvl up either or get to the end-game and just enjoy the story with the occasional team work play I can get with the other online players.
