rhapsodieinblue Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 So I'm pretty sure I have a legacy TOR account, and I already have a different EA account. When I was just reviewing my account page and how many cartel coins I had left (forgot they gave you a bunch for an authenticator) a popup said that purchases were blocked due to an account issue. I went to the help page, and it links over to EA's support page. I then click to open a case, and then get looped around to a page that says either submit a ticket in game if you are a subscriber or call. I do not want to sit on the phone with support if I don't have to. Has this happened to anyone else? There's nowhere obvious that I can see that I can link an old TOR account to an EA account as it just assumes that's the account I have. I was just looking to return for maybe a month to see what's changed. There's nothing shady from login attempts or anything that I can see that would have triggered suspicious behavior or anything. Thanks in advance,
OwenBrooks Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 (edited) @rhapsodieinblue EA Support cant help with swtor account issues, Swtor support are separate support lines hence calling The ea account was created when the swtor account was created using the same email per https://help.ea.com/au/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-account-linked/ these accounts can now have different emails and passwords from each other, but remain linked, in your case they still use the same hotmail email The linked ea account has been disabled use this link (insert the swtor Hotmail email address) to reset the password then login on that EA account, if the error persists use incognito mode with chrome or delete the web browser cache and cookies Edited July 9, 2024 by OwenBrooks
rhapsodieinblue Posted July 9, 2024 Author Posted July 9, 2024 thanks for the help! I had no idea it created an ea account, or migrated to one, or cloned one, or however it was back in the day. I never remember getting any emails about it but it has been a long time. I'll try soon and think about resubbing for a month to check it out! (too old of an acct to have any of the newer expansions as premium). 1
