FaustusX Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Hi. Am a subscriber. Been told I couldn't post in the forums like suggestion box or general discussion because I wasn't a subscriber. I am one, as of a week ago. How come the forums are almost all still greyed out? I've been reading the conversation about "account" or "global" friends and I am stunned by how much reactivity there is on the topic. NO, the feature request does not require anyone to make themselves visible - why would anyone force global friendships? The request is to make them an option for those of us who want them, and there's design work in the forums, I am curious why people keep aggressively fighting a feature-request that they could easily turn off with a setting option checkbox and wanted to ask? But unfortunatley, half th eforums are still locked to me, even though I am subscribed? I don't see a social-credit building system in place like some forums use - what am I missing? 1

It also happens in reverse, where a subscriber drops to Preferred (non-sub) and is still able to post all over the forums for a while. It's a bug with the forums, in essence, since they store the permissions in the cookie rather than storing an account ID and looking up the permissions.
