I have the exact same issue, and from what I read they don't give a f***. Neither SWTOR support or steam support, as they keep sending you to the other support team.
Keep us updated whats helping or the result for you.

I contacted their support email and I'm waiting for them to resolve my issue... I hope they do something since I've been playing this game since 2014 and never had any problem like that before.

I'm having the same problem. I decided to log in today after 11 years of not playing. played around for a bit and bought the sub on Steam. All of my accounts are linked up correctly, but it's still inactive. Keep us posted, OP.

You do need to call swtor support when the lines are open to fix the account issue on your account, also be sure to email the screenshots as per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message

Support however cant add the gametime without you calling in and fixing the account issue first
Numbers and Hours are detailed in https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Getting-Help-and-Board-Guidlines/td-p/4806237/jump-to/first-unread-message

Just be aware also there is an issue with cards issued in Denmark on swtor.com, either use paypal on swtor.com or continue to subscribe via steam once this is sorted

The linked ea account persona is "cenatu" has been disabled, and uses a gmail email address ( this is a different gmail email to what is used on the swtor account but it is very very close )

use this link (insert the correct gmail email address into that link) to reset the password then login on that EA account

Be sure to use incognito mode with chrome or delete the browser cache and cookies to be sure it isnt cached if purchasing on swtor.com

For the steam purchase email in the required screenshots per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message providing the linked ea account is sorted support can add the gametime once they get your screenshots

Just a reminder for everyone, This Bug Report section here is for ingame bugs and hardly ever an official response will be provided here

If people want to check if there is an account issue and if you do need to call swtor support, it is best to post the swtor displayname in a post at EA Answers HQ - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en

As detailed in  https://forums.swtor.com/topic/795177-bug-report-forum-usage/#comment-8547643  I am one of the people monitoring the posts in that forum, not so much here

When an account is disabled for subscribing no gametime can be added to a swtor account from any source including by swtor support, codes and steam purchases will also fail to add gametime if the account is disabled

Bioware/Broadword/EA's payment pipeline is broken on Steam. It's a hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get what you purchased instantly. Other times you need to wait up to 48 hours for a payment/purchase to processed.

The most appropriate and logical thing to do buying when buying SWTOR CC/Subscriptions is to use to simply use swtor.com.

Just for clarity, There is no Bioware/Broadword/EA payment pipeline on steam to break, if there are any merchant processing delays on steam purchases then this has nothing to do with swtor what so ever, swtor have no control over purchase processing on steam itself or with any 3rd party vendors

What can occur at times is there can be a slight delay on swtor side on "all purchases" not just steam purchases reflecting gametime on the servers.

Example of a delay on a swtor purchase - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Subscription-not-working-through-site/m-p/13460666#M107269

This is absolutely not true. EA has to collect the payment verification from Steam. Steam can't add subscription status to your EA account or award you micro currency. Steam also doesn't keep the money you pay for the subscription (other than a kickback).

This problem is 100% on EA's side as thousands of SWTOR players have this issue. It's reported daily on Reddit. I've been a Steam Member for over 15 years, and have never in my life seen this happen for any other game.

Look Steam is a 3rd party vendor they use their own merchant separate to swtor, as i said if steam has processing delays it has nothing to do with swtor
You can make assumptions on the arrangements but that is all you are doing

What i have also already mentioned earlier in this thread is that if the swtor/ linked ea account is disabled for subscribing, not even swtor support can add gametime to that swtor account until resolved, steam and codes also will not apply gametime to the swtor account until the issue is resolved

People with this account issue cannot buy a subscription on swtor.com either

Example of the issue - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Steam-subscription-not-added/m-p/13487830#M107369
