And to combat this, the planning team decided to find ways to "take money out of the game." They've done this by penalizing new players and others who actually play the game instead of the people causing the problem--people who manipulate the market by buying up all of the supply of an item and jacking up the price of that item. I just came back after a couple of years, and I noticed that wait...you want me to pay HOW MUCH to use quick travel? Guess I'm walking. Suggestions: First, put all that micro stuff that you messed up back the way it was. Basics should be cheap if not free. These are not the problem. While there may be less money in the game, what that means is, the people with the most money (the gougers) don't care, but the people who don't do that cant afford to play especially at lower levels. I can't even imagine what it's like using the marketplace for gear at higher levels--my guess is for the casual player, it is nearly impossible. It almost forced more people into manipulating the market rather than farm because farming credits does not pay. And instead....you need to penalize those who have more credits than brains. You do this with either limits to how many auctions any account can have active at one time AND/OR you put an ever increasing tariff on each for sale item put up. Ok this is your 10th item of the same kind...it now cost you....1000000 credits to do this....so much that to buy out supply just to resell would be impractical. Open up vendors that sell critical items at reasonable prices. Put the gougers out of business. You basically need an in-game version of the IRS. You are being audited. It says here you have 500,000,000,000 credits. We are taking 70% for the EMPIRE. Make wealth brackets for taxes. And give out titles for monopolizers and gougers to help them feel like they have "achieved" something....Daddy Warbucks...Blood Money Arms Runner....Beyond the Law....Retired Robber Baron....Rothschild Red-headed Stepchild....
Toraak Posted August 28, 2023 Posted August 28, 2023 The prices of items has Dropped massively since they implemented the economy changes. Give it time, and prices should keep dropping. I also suspect, but have no proof that they did do credit farmer bans at the same time,
