And also be sure to see the more specific 'Dev Tracker' posts from BioWare , like this other one here: https://forums.swtor.com/topic/924959-upcoming-update-of-the-game-launcher/page/10/#comment-9725230 If that ^ thread doesn't help , then maybe try this link here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/bd-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en ...and/or try sending an Email to: support@swtor.com (with as many details, computer specs, crash-logs, screenshots, etc. etc. as are related ) Hope this helps you at least get on the right path back to playing. Bar-Da-Voya
I recently bought a new desktop and had a similar issue. I downloaded the game and clicked play on the launcher and nothing happened. What solved it for me was downloading and installing the DirectX 9 legacy drivers from the Microsoft website as new computers only come with Direct X 11 or 12 and this game needs DirectX 9. See link below. I figured it out from this thread on answers.ea.com SWTOR website: Recently Upgraded or Installed Windows and never played before on this computer Install this particular Direct X Redist and ensure the video drivers are up to date. This guide has a lot of information for Windows 10 users (seems to apply to Windows 11 as well) for installing the game on a Windows 10/11 computer.
